2019 Thor Motor Coach Class C
This was the best part of our trip! The RV was easy to drive, plenty of storage, and there was even an option to add a big power battery to run one of the tvs so the kids could play video games from their belted seats while on the long driving parts. Norberto was excellent with communication and I would absolutely rent from him again!

What's RV driving like around Durham? Are there any road hazards to watch out for?

Driving an RV around Durham is generally easy. Local roads such as CA-99 and CA-32 are wide with light traffic outside of commute hours. Watch for slow-moving farm equipment on rural roads, especially during almond and walnut harvest, and for deer at dawn and dusk. If you head east toward Lassen or the Sierra foothills, plan for winding two-lane roads and elevation gains, so drive slowly and use lower gears on descents.

Woodson Bridge State Recreation Area provides potable water and restrooms but no hookups at most sites. Confirm the maximum RV length your site allows, since many state park loops cap out around 30 to 35 feet.
