The RV was fantastic and Josh was a great host! We were his first booking and you never would’ve known. He was super thorough in the walk-around going through the RV and the intricacies of the truck (it has air brakes!). Once on the road, it was super easy to drive, if you can say that about a 36’ Super C! The air ride seat made it really comfy and the adaptive cruise made it super easy to navigate from the driver side. And the kids and wife loved the onboard generator to watch TV, heat up some food, use the restroom, and even sleep while en route to our destination. When it’s time for another adventure, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Josh to rent again! Highly recommend Josh and his RV.

This was a wonderful experience. We camped in beach areas as well as wooded by a lake and this van was comfortable, reliable and REALLY easy to drive. We went to Atlanta, also, to the aquarium and navigating the city was easy as pie in this thing. The owners are INCREDIBLY nice and the communication is some of the best I’ve ever seen across things like this app, AirBnB, etc. Great people, great van, great experience.

Pro tip: October weekends at Stone Mountain are magical, the Pumpkin Festival lights up the campground and leaf color in the North Georgia mountains peaks just 90 minutes north.

Cross-border travel into Canada may also be allowed depending on the host and your protection coverage, just confirm with your host via RVezy message before booking so the right paperwork is in place. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage do not extend south of the US border. Pro tip: a 5-day loop through the Blue Ridge Parkway from Lawrenceville is a fan favorite, scenic, doable, and stress-free.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Lawrenceville RV trip?

Fuel is manageable when you plan ahead. Class C motorhomes around Lawrenceville average 8-10 MPG, Class A coaches get 6-8 MPG, and campervans can hit 15-18 MPG. With Georgia gas prices typically running below the national average (often $2.90-$3.20 per gallon in metro Atlanta), a 300-mile round trip from Lawrenceville to Helen and back in a Class C costs roughly $90-$110 in fuel. Diesel rigs go further per gallon but pay a little more per fill-up. Pro tip: use GasBuddy to scout cheaper stations along I-85 and US-23, and fuel up in Gainesville or Commerce before heading into the mountains where prices climb.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Lawrenceville?

Earlier is better, especially for the headliners. For Stone Mountain Park Campground, book 3-4 months ahead for weekends April through October (especially Memorial Day, July 4th, and the Pumpkin Festival in October). Georgia State Parks like Fort Yargo and Don Carter open reservations 13 months in advance at GaStateParks.org, and lakefront sites disappear quickly. US Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Lake Lanier (Bald Ridge Creek, Shoal Creek, Old Federal) book through Recreation.gov 6 months out. Pro tip: weekday stays Sunday through Thursday almost always have last-minute openings, perfect if you're working remotely from your campervan rental Lawrenceville setup.

What are driving conditions like around Lawrenceville for an RV?

Lawrenceville is friendly RV territory once you know the local rhythm. I-85, GA-316, and Sugarloaf Parkway are wide and RV-comfortable, but rush hour (7-9am and 4-7pm) into Atlanta can be brutal, so time your departure for mid-morning or after 7pm. Heading north toward the Blue Ridge, GA-400 and US-23 are scenic and gentle on grades. Avoid downtown Atlanta in anything over 30 feet, the Connector (I-75/I-85) has tight merges. Summer brings sudden afternoon thunderstorms that can drop visibility fast on the highway. Pro tip: download the Georgia 511 app for real-time traffic and incident alerts, especially helpful when leaving Lawrenceville on a Friday afternoon.

Bald Ridge Creek on Lake Lanier provides electric/water sites plus a dump station and bathhouses. Fort Yargo State Park has electric and water hookups with a centralized dump station, plus a lake beach. Most parks fill potable water at the registration entrance or at each site spigot. Pro tip: if your site is electric-only, hit the dump station and freshwater fill-up on your way out, no surprises and your gray tank stays happy.

What features and amenities will the RV itself have?

Larger Class A and Class C rigs often include a generator, outdoor speakers, and an awning with LED lights. Seatbelts are provided for passengers riding while in motion, and most rigs sleep 4-8. Wi-Fi is hit-or-miss in the North Georgia mountains, so plan accordingly. Pro tip: check the listing's amenities list and message the host if you need specifics like a Keurig, kid-friendly bunks, or solar power.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book your Lawrenceville RV rental, RVezy charges your card through the platform, never directly to the host, so there's a clear record and built-in support. A refundable security deposit (typically $500-$1,500 depending on the rig) is placed as a hold on your card before pickup, separate from the booking payment, and released after return assuming no damage. Tolls, mileage overages, or generator hours beyond the included allowance may be deducted from the deposit if applicable. Pro tip: do a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff with the host, it's a five-minute habit that keeps your security deposit return drama-free.

Where can I park or store an RV overnight in Lawrenceville?

You've got solid options for where to park an RV in Lawrenceville. Inside Lawrenceville city limits and Gwinnett County, residential RV parking requires the rig to sit in a carport, enclosed structure, or rear yard on a paved or approved surface, and at least 15 feet from the property line. For overnight stops, head to nearby campgrounds like Stone Mountain or Bald Ridge Creek, or use the Mall of Georgia area Walmart (always call the store first to confirm overnight policy). Cracker Barrel locations along I-85 in Suwanee and Buford are classic RV-friendly stopovers. Pro tip: most RVezy hosts offer delivery to your campsite, so you skip parking logistics entirely and start your trip relaxed.
