The RV was fantastic and Josh was a great host! We were his first booking and you never would’ve known. He was super thorough in the walk-around going through the RV and the intricacies of the truck (it has air brakes!). Once on the road, it was super easy to drive, if you can say that about a 36’ Super C! The air ride seat made it really comfy and the adaptive cruise made it super easy to navigate from the driver side. And the kids and wife loved the onboard generator to watch TV, heat up some food, use the restroom, and even sleep while en route to our destination. When it’s time for another adventure, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Josh to rent again! Highly recommend Josh and his RV.

This was a wonderful experience. We camped in beach areas as well as wooded by a lake and this van was comfortable, reliable and REALLY easy to drive. We went to Atlanta, also, to the aquarium and navigating the city was easy as pie in this thing. The owners are INCREDIBLY nice and the communication is some of the best I’ve ever seen across things like this app, AirBnB, etc. Great people, great van, great experience.

We rented this camper for the night race at Atlanta motor speedway and what a great decision it was. Kris set everything up and had everything topped off for us. Water, propane, gas. The camper was very clean and had everything we needed. Kris was very responsive to messages prior to booking. This was my first time renting a camper and I can’t wait to do it again. Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Newnan, GA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Newnan, GA?

RV rental in Newnan is one of the more affordable ways to explore west-central Georgia. Travel trailers typically start around $95 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes generally run $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A coaches sit at the higher end. Add a nightly campsite (Chattahoochee Bend State Park RV sites are roughly $35 to $45, private RV parks $50 to $80) plus fuel, and a 4-day Newnan RV trip usually lands between $850 and $1,600 total. For a cheap RV rental in Newnan, book midweek and shoulder season (March or November), and filter by travel trailers if you already own a tow vehicle. Many hosts also drop their nightly rate for stays of 5+ nights.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Newnan, GA?

Good news: a regular Georgia driver's license (or any valid US or Canadian license) is all you need to rent an RV in Newnan, even for big Class A motorhomes. The Georgia Department of Driver Services does not require a commercial license or special RV endorsement for personal-use motorhomes or travel trailers. You'll need to be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID right inside the platform during checkout, so there's no paperwork to mail or notarize. Visiting from overseas? Pick up an International Driving Permit from your home country's auto club before you fly into Hartsfield-Jackson, which sits just 25 minutes north of Newnan, and you're cleared to roll.

Is RV rental insurance and roadside assistance included in Newnan?

Yes, every RV rental in Newnan, GA booked through RVezy comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance built in, so you can hit I-85 with real peace of mind. You choose your protection level at checkout (not the host), so you can scale coverage to match your comfort zone, and the plan helps cover damage to the RV during your trip. If you get a flat on the way to West Point Lake or have a battery hiccup at Chattahoochee Bend State Park, one call to RVezy roadside dispatches help. It removes the biggest worry most first-time renters have when they rent an RV in Newnan.

What is the cancellation policy if my Newnan RV trip plans change?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets a standard cancellation policy on every reservation (hosts don't set this themselves), including a grace period right after you book so you can lock in your Newnan RV rental with confidence. The exact refund depends on how far in advance you cancel, and you can review the full policy in the RVezy Help Center before you book. If a host has to cancel on you, RVezy refunds your booking or provides travel credit so you're not left scrambling. If a tropical system or family emergency disrupts your trip, contact RVezy support right away and they'll walk you through your options.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Newnan?

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Newnan is easy to find: just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you'll see dozens of motorhomes and travel trailers that welcome dogs (and sometimes cats). Once you're rolling, Coweta County is genuinely dog-loving: LINC Trail in downtown Newnan is a paved 4-mile path perfect for leashed walks, and Chattahoochee Bend State Park allows pets on all its hiking trails and at campsites. McIntosh Reserve Park up in Whitesburg is another favorite, with riverfront trails along the Chattahoochee. Pro tip: message the host before booking if your pup is over 50 lbs or sheds heavily, since a quick heads-up usually earns an easy yes.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Newnan?

Yes, RV delivery in Newnan is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it's a game-changer if it's your first time renting an RV. Many local hosts will tow or drive the rig directly to Chattahoochee Bend State Park, McIntosh Reserve, your driveway in Sharpsburg or Peachtree City, or an event venue, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. Delivery fees are set by each host and often scale with distance, with some hosts offering free delivery within a set radius of Newnan. Filter by Delivery on RVezy to see which rigs offer it, then message the host to confirm your exact campsite or address.

Pro tip: if you're road-tripping more than 600 miles round-trip, filter for unlimited-mileage rigs to save money.

Where are the best campgrounds near Newnan, GA?

You're spoiled for choice near Newnan. The closest is Chattahoochee Bend State Park (425 Bobwhite Way, only about 15 minutes from downtown Newnan) with water/electric RV sites, hot showers, a dump station, and miles of Chattahoochee River frontage. McIntosh Reserve Park in Whitesburg is a Carroll County gem with riverfront primitive and RV-friendly camping. For lake lovers, R. Shaefer Heard Campground on West Point Lake (about 75 minutes southwest, run by the US Army Corps of Engineers) has year-round full-hookup sites bookable through Recreation.gov. F.D. Roosevelt State Park near Pine Mountain is another local favorite for an RV camping Newnan getaway. Book Georgia State Parks up to 13 months ahead for summer weekends.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Newnan?

The sweet spot for RV camping in Newnan is mid-March through late May and again from mid-September through early November, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 65 to 80°F range and humidity drops. Summer (June to August) brings hot, sticky days near 90°F and afternoon thunderstorms, so you'll want a rig with strong AC and shaded sites. Winter is mild by RV standards, with January highs around 52°F and lows in the mid-30s, making it totally doable for a quiet weekend trip. October is the local insider's pick: cooler evenings around the campfire, fewer bugs, and gorgeous Piedmont fall color along the Chattahoochee.

I've never rented an RV before, will I be able to handle it?

You'll do great, and Newnan is a friendly place to learn. Every RVezy booking includes a hands-on orientation from your host at pickup: driving tips, hookups, the awning, propane, dumping the tanks, all of it, until you feel confident. First-time renters often start with a Class C motorhome or a smaller travel trailer because they drive much like a large pickup. The roads around Newnan (US-29, GA-34, and quiet county roads heading to Chattahoochee Bend) are gentle, flat, and forgiving for practice. Pro tip: book a two-night shakedown at Chattahoochee Bend State Park, only 15 minutes away, before tackling a longer Georgia RV trip.

What happens if my motorhome rental in Newnan breaks down?

You're never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so if you have a flat on I-85, a dead battery at Chattahoochee Bend, or a generator that won't start at West Point Lake, one call dispatches help to you. Common issues like tire changes, jump starts, lockouts, and fuel delivery are typically handled quickly in the metro Atlanta area thanks to the dense service network. Your host is also just a message away through the RVezy app for quick troubleshooting, things like resetting a tripped breaker or relighting a water heater. Save the roadside number to your phone before you pull out and you'll have total peace of mind.

Can I take my Newnan RV rental across state lines or into Canada or Mexico?

Yes to a great American road trip from Newnan: most hosts happily allow travel throughout the continental US, so you can chase the Blue Ridge Parkway through North Carolina, hit Gulf Shores in Alabama (about 4.5 hours south), or roll into Nashville (4 hours northwest). Cross-border travel into Canada may be possible with advance approval from the host and confirmation that insurance extends north; just message before you book. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage doesn't extend across that border. Popular RV road trips from Newnan include the Georgia coast via Savannah, the Great Smoky Mountains loop, and the Florida panhandle beaches.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-go

What kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I plan for?

Plan on roughly 8 to 10 mpg for a Class A, 10 to 14 mpg for a Class C, 16 to 22 mpg for a campervan, and figure your tow vehicle's normal mpg drops 30 to 40% pulling a travel trailer. Georgia gas prices typically sit a bit below the national average, recently around $2.90 to $3.20 per gallon for regular unleaded around Newnan, with cheaper pumps at the QuikTrip and RaceTrac stations along Bullsboro Drive and Highway 34. For a 4-day, 400-mile loop in a Class C, budget about $130 to $160 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Newnan before heading into the mountains; prices climb noticeably north of Cartersville.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far ahead should I book a campground near Newnan?

Book early and you'll thank yourself. Georgia State Parks (including Chattahoochee Bend right outside Newnan and F.D. Roosevelt near Pine Mountain) open reservations 13 months in advance through the Reserve America system, and summer weekends plus October leaf-peeping weekends sell out fast. US Army Corps of Engineers sites at West Point Lake book 6 months ahead through Recreation.gov. Private RV parks like Pine Mountain RV Resort usually have more last-minute availability, often within 2 to 4 weeks. Local insider tip: midweek arrivals (Sunday to Wednesday) at Chattahoochee Bend almost always have openings, even in peak season, so plan your Newnan RV trip around a Tuesday check-in.
gastateparks.org/Reservations

What are the driving conditions like around Newnan?

Newnan is one of the easier metro-Atlanta-adjacent areas to drive an RV. I-85 runs right through town with wide lanes and gentle grades, and Highway 34 and Highway 29 offer flat, four-lane routes to nearby campgrounds. The main thing to plan around is Atlanta rush hour: avoid northbound I-85 toward the city from 7 to 9 a.m. and southbound from 3:30 to 7 p.m., especially Friday afternoons. Summer brings quick, heavy thunderstorms (usually 3 to 6 p.m.), so pull off if visibility drops. Watch for low railroad bridges in older downtown Newnan; stick to designated truck routes on Bullsboro Drive and Jackson Street for any rig over 11 feet tall.
511ga.org/

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Newnan?

You'll find solid amenities at most local campgrounds. Chattahoochee Bend State Park offers water and 30/50 amp electric at all RV sites, hot showers, flush toilets, and a dump station near the entrance, but no sewer hookups at individual sites. Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve and Atlanta South RV Resort have full hookups (water, electric, sewer) plus laundry and Wi-Fi. R. Shaefer Heard on West Point Lake has full hookups and a swim beach. To fill fresh water before heading out, the dump and water fill at Chattahoochee Bend is open to registered campers. Pro tip: most Newnan-area Loves and Pilot stations along I-85 (Exit 41, 47) have public dump stations for around $10.
gastateparks.org/ChattahoocheeBend

What's inside a typical RV rental in Newnan?

You'll be surprised how well-equipped these rigs are. A typical motorhome rental in Newnan sleeps 4 to 8 people on a queen bed, bunks, and convertible dinette or sofa, with a full kitchen (3-burner stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, sink), a wet or dry bath with shower and toilet, roof AC, furnace, and usually a TV. Most include seatbelts for all listed sleeping capacity, propane for cooking, and a generator or shore-power setup for the AC. Many Newnan hosts also throw in starter kits with linens, cookware, and outdoor chairs. Wi-Fi hotspots are increasingly common as add-ons. Check each listing's amenities section, then message the host if you need something specific like a CPAP-friendly outlet or a coffee maker.
fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/title49/section/393.93

What add-ons can I get and how does pickup/dropoff work for a Newnan RV rental?

Hosts in Newnan offer a great menu of add-ons to customize your trip: bedding and towel kits, camping chairs and outdoor rugs, portable grills, generators, bike racks, kayaks, GPS units, and even fully stocked kitchen packages. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Newnan, Sharpsburg, Senoia, or Peachtree City and typically takes 45 to 60 minutes including the walkthrough. Dropoff happens at the same spot at the agreed time, with the rig returned clean and with tanks and fuel at the agreed levels (skipping these usually triggers a host fee shown on the listing). Pro tip: if a dump-and-clean add-on is offered, it's often worth the saved time on the last day of your Newnan RV trip.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Newnan%2C%20Georgia

How does payment and the security deposit work for a Newnan RV rental?

Payment is simple and secure: you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card when you book, never directly to the host in cash. A refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your card before pickup (separate from your booking payment) and released after dropoff assuming no damage or extra cleaning. To avoid any deposit issues, do a quick video walkaround with your host at both pickup and return, return the RV with fuel and tanks at the same levels you got it, and don't smoke inside. Keep all communication on the RVezy app so everything is documented.
