2021 Flagstaff Travel Trailer
We rented this RV from August 21–25, and from beginning to end, we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Charlie and Margaret were amazing hosts! Their communication was excellent, and they were always helpful, friendly, responsive, and very professional. They truly made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. The RV itself was beautiful, modern, extremely clean, and very well maintained. As soon as we walked inside, we were impressed. The lighting throughout the RV was fantastic—there were plenty of lights, which made the space feel bright, comfortable, and welcoming. The bathroom was extremely clean and surprisingly spacious. The bedroom was large, comfortable, and cozy, with plenty of storage space for clothes and personal belongings. We never felt cramped at all. The kitchen was one of our favorite features. It was beautiful and spacious, with a long countertop that gave us plenty of room to prepare meals. Charlie and Margaret really thought of everything. The cabinets and drawers were stocked with pots, pans, plates, utensils, and everything else we needed. They even provided plenty of cleaning supplies, including a broom, vacuum, Lysol wipes, and more. What impressed us most was how much this RV truly felt like a home away from home. We had everything we needed—and honestly, even more than we expected. You can tell Charlie and Margaret put a lot of thought and care into making sure their guests are comfortable and have a great experience. Whether you’re going camping, attending an outdoor event, or simply looking for a comfortable RV getaway, I would highly recommend renting from Charlie and Margaret. Beautiful RV, outstanding hosts, excellent communication, and a five-star experience all around. Thank you, Charlie and Margaret, for helping make our trip so comfortable and memorable! We would absolutely rent from you again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in North Bellport, NY
How much does it cost to rent an RV in North Bellport, NY?
RV rental in North Bellport is more affordable than most Long Islanders expect. On RVezy, travel trailers typically start around $95 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes run roughly $175 to $275, and larger Class A coaches sit higher depending on season. Because hosts set their own pricing, you'll often find cheap RV rental North Bellport options during shoulder season (May or September) when summer beach demand cools off. Want to stretch your budget further? Filter by travel trailers, book midweek, and look for hosts offering weekly discounts. Booking 2 to 3 months ahead of July 4th and Labor Day weekends locks in the best rates before Hamptons-bound demand spikes.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=North%20Bellport%2C%20New%20YorkWhat license do I need to rent an RV in North Bellport, NY?
Good news: a regular New York driver's license (or any valid US/Canadian license) is all you need to rent an RV in North Bellport. There's no Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement required for any RV class on RVezy, whether you choose a campervan, Class C, or even a 35-foot Class A. You'll need to be at least 25 years old, and identity verification happens quickly through the RVezy platform when you book. Visiting from overseas? Pair your home license with an International Driving Permit (IDP) and you're set. Most first-time renters are surprised how straightforward the process is, so you can focus on planning the fun.
dmv.ny.gov/driver-license/get-driver-licenseIs insurance and roadside assistance included with my RV rental in North Bellport?
Yes, every RVezy booking in North Bellport comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance built in. During checkout, you (not the host) choose your protection level, so you can match coverage to your comfort zone. Roadside help is just a phone call away, whether you get a flat on the Long Island Expressway (I-495) or need a jump start near Smith Point County Park. That safety net is exactly why first-timers feel confident booking an RV rental in North Bellport through RVezy.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat's the cancellation policy if my plans change?
Booking an RV rental in North Bellport is lower-risk than you might think. RVezy (not the individual host) sets the cancellation policy, which includes a money-back grace period right after booking so you can lock in a great RV without overcommitting. The exact refund amount depends on how close you are to your trip start date. You'll see the full policy details during checkout and in your booking confirmation. Pro tip: book early to secure prime Wildwood State Park or Hither Hills sites, knowing flexibility is built in if something changes.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on an RV rental in North Bellport?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental North Bellport options are easy to find on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you'll see motorhomes and travel trailers from hosts who welcome four-legged co-pilots. Once you're on the road, head east to dog-friendly beaches: Smith Point County Park allows leashed dogs outside lifeguarded swim areas in the off-season, and Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai is a local favorite for off-leash romps. Just note that some popular spots like Wildwood State Park do not allow pets in the campground, so book accordingly. Message your host before booking to confirm any pet fees or shedding rules, and you'll be set for a tail-wagging adventure.
suffolkcountyny.gov/Departments/ParksCan the RV be delivered to me in North Bellport?
Yes, RV delivery North Bellport is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it's a game-changer if you're a first-time renter or short on towing experience. Many local hosts will drive the motorhome or trailer straight to your driveway, your campground site at Heckscher State Park, or even directly to Smith Point County Park on Fire Island. They'll level the rig, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. Filter listings by Delivery, then message the host with your destination address to confirm the fee, which is typically based on round-trip mileage from their location.
nps.gov/fiis/planyourvisit/camping.htmHow many miles can I drive on my RV rental and what does mileage cost?
You've got real range to play with. Each RVezy host in North Bellport sets their own mileage allowance, with many offering 100 to 150 free miles per night and additional miles typically priced between $0.30 and $0.50. To put distance in perspective: it's about 75 miles from North Bellport to Montauk Point, 90 miles to the ferry at Orient Point, and 65 miles west to the George Washington Bridge. Use the listing's mileage policy to estimate your trip cost, or message the host to negotiate a higher daily cap.
dot.ny.gov/Where are the best campgrounds near North Bellport, NY?

Smith Point County Park on Fire Island offers oceanfront camping with a 4x4 outer beach option for the adventurous. Wildwood State Park in Wading River (about 25 miles northeast) features 600 acres of forest, electric hookup sites, and Long Island Sound beach access. Indian Island County Park near Riverhead is great for fall trips. For the best campgrounds near North Bellport, book state park sites well ahead through ReserveAmerica.
parks.ny.gov/parks/heckscherWhen is the best time of year to rent an RV in North Bellport?
Late May through early October is prime season for RV camping North Bellport, when daytime temperatures hover between 70°F and 85°F and Atlantic beaches are at their best. July and August bring the warmest water and the biggest crowds, so book early. The smart-money move is the shoulder season: mid-May to mid-June or September into early October, when temperatures stay comfortable (60s to 70s), state park sites are easier to grab, and the North Fork wineries are gorgeous. Most Long Island state park campgrounds operate April through October, so spring fishing trips and fall foliage runs to the Pine Barrens are very doable.
weather.gov/okx/I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?
You'll do great, and you won't be figuring it out alone. Every RVezy host provides a full walkthrough at pickup, showing you how to operate the slide-outs, generator, water systems, awning, and dump valves before you drive away. First time renting an RV? Start with a Class C motorhome or a smaller travel trailer (under 25 feet) since they handle a lot like a large van. North Bellport is ideal for beginners because the William Floyd Parkway and Sunrise Highway (Route 27) east toward the Hamptons are flat, straight, and well-marked. Take it slow on your first 30 minutes, practice a parking lot turn, and you'll feel like a pro by the time you reach the campground.
dmv.ny.gov/driver-license/get-driver-licenseWhat happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?
You're covered around the clock. Every rent an RV in North Bellport booking through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection package, so a flat tire on the Long Island Expressway or a dead battery at Wildwood State Park is just a phone call away. Help can dispatch tow services, tire changes, jump starts, lockout assistance, and fuel delivery anywhere on Long Island. Your host is also a direct resource for quick troubleshooting questions about the RV's specific quirks. Save the roadside number in your phone when you pick up the keys, and keep the RVezy app handy. You'll travel with real confidence knowing support is one tap away.
dot.ny.gov/divisions/operating/oom/transportation-systems/repository/Stranded%20MotoristCan I take my RV rental to Canada or out of state from North Bellport?
Interstate road trips are absolutely allowed, and North Bellport is a fantastic launchpad. Popular RV road trip from North Bellport routes include the Cross Sound Ferry to New London, Connecticut for New England coastal touring (about 90 miles to Orient Point, then a 90-minute ferry), the Catskills via I-87 (about 3 hours), and the Jersey Shore via the Verrazzano Bridge (90 minutes to 2 hours depending on traffic). Travel into Canada may be allowed by some hosts depending on insurance, so message them directly before booking. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Always confirm cross-border plans with your host upfront so they can prep the right paperwork.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-goHow much should I budget for fuel on a Long Island RV trip?
Fuel is one of your biggest variable costs, so plan smart. Class C motorhomes around North Bellport typically get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, travel trailers reduce your tow vehicle's mileage to roughly 10 to 14 MPG, and campervans (Class B) can stretch to 15 to 20 MPG. New York gas prices on Long Island generally run 20 to 40 cents higher than the national average, so fill up off-island when you can. For a 4-day trip with 300 miles of driving in a Class C, budget around $120 to $180 in fuel. Pro tip: Costco in Holbrook and BJ's in Patchogue consistently offer the cheapest local fuel near North Bellport.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book campgrounds near North Bellport?
For Long Island state parks, the earlier the better. New York State Parks open campsite reservations 9 months in advance through ReserveAmerica, and prime weekends at Wildwood, Heckscher, and Hither Hills (Montauk) sell out within minutes of opening. Set a calendar reminder for the 9-month mark at 8 AM Eastern. Suffolk County parks like Smith Point and Cedar Point open reservations in February for the upcoming season. Private campgrounds and Hipcamp sites usually allow booking 3 to 6 months ahead. Aim to book your RVezy rental first, then chase the campsite, since RV availability also tightens fast for July, August, and holiday weekends.
newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com/What are the local driving conditions like around North Bellport?
Driving an RV around North Bellport is very manageable if you know two key rules. First, stay off the parkways. New York's Southern State, Northern State, Sunrise (west of Exit 44), and Meadowbrook Parkways ban commercial vehicles and most RVs due to low bridge clearances (some as low as 7'7"). Stick to the Long Island Expressway (I-495), Sunrise Highway east of Exit 44, and the William Floyd Parkway, which are all RV-friendly. Second, plan around traffic: avoid Friday afternoon eastbound and Sunday afternoon westbound in summer. Mornings before 9 AM and late evenings are golden. Coastal winds can be strong near the South Shore, so grip the wheel firmly on bridges and open stretches.
dot.ny.gov/divisions/operating/oom/transportation-systems/systems-optimization-section/oversize-overweight-permitsWhat amenities and hookups can I expect at Long Island campgrounds?
You'll find a healthy range. Wildwood State Park and Heckscher State Park offer full hookup sites (water, electric, and sewer) plus dump stations, hot showers, flush restrooms, and potable water fill stations. Smith Point County Park has electric and water at most RV sites, with a centralized dump station. Nickerson Beach offers full hookups and beach access. Private parks like Eastern Long Island Kampground in Greenport feature 30/50 amp service, WiFi, pools, and laundry. Looking for where to park an RV in North Bellport without full hookups? Many county parks offer dry camping with nearby dump stations. Always confirm amp service (30 vs 50) when booking so your RV's electrical system matches the site.
parks.ny.gov/parks/wildwoodWhat's actually included inside an RVezy motorhome rental?
Most motorhome rental North Bellport listings come fully equipped so you can just pack clothes and groceries. Expect a queen or king bed, additional bunk or convertible sleeping for 4 to 8 people total, a kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, air conditioning, heat, and a TV. Most have a generator, awning, and outdoor seating. WiFi varies by host (many provide a hotspot for an add-on fee). Seatbelts are installed for travel passengers, typically 4 to 6 depending on the unit. Every listing shows photos and a full amenity checklist, and you can message the host before booking to confirm specifics like high chairs, bedding, or a coffee maker.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/recreational-vehicle-safetyWhat popular add-ons can I get with my campervan rental in North Bellport?

Pickup is typically between 1 PM and 4 PM, with drop-off by 11 AM, though many hosts will flex by an hour if you ask. All add-ons and fees appear on the booking page so there are no surprises.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=North%20Bellport%2C%20New%20YorkHow do payments and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and secure. When you book your RV rental in North Bellport through RVezy, you pay the rental cost plus service fees and your chosen protection plan upfront by credit card directly on the platform (never to the host in cash). A refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, separate from your booking payment. It's released back to you after return, assuming no damage or additional charges like overage mileage. To avoid issues, take date-stamped photos and a short video of the RV at pickup and drop-off. Transparent and built to protect both you and the host.
