2017 Jayco Travel Trailer
Very responsive to request to book. Accommodated our timing for delivery and pickup. Handled all the set up and take down. It's a small camper but is perfect if you just need a spot to sleep, shower and have a small meal. Just bring your extras to set up and enjoy the outdoors. (It does have 2 chairs and an outdoor rug as well).

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Loudon, TN
How much does an RV rental in Loudon cost?
An RV rental in Loudon is one of the more affordable ways to explore East Tennessee. Travel trailers typically start around $80 to $130 per night, Class C motorhomes run roughly $150 to $250, and larger Class A rigs land in the $200 to $350 range. Weekly bookings often unlock host discounts, and shoulder months like April and October bring lower rates than peak summer. To find a cheap RV rental Loudon offers, filter by your dates, sort by price, and look for hosts with delivery to nearby Tellico Lake spots. Pro tip: booking Sunday through Thursday near Fort Loudoun Dam can often save you 20% or more.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Loudon,TennesseeWhat license do I need to rent an RV in Loudon?
Good news for first-time renters: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Loudon. Tennessee does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for personal motorhomes or trailers you'll find on RVezy. Approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform during booking, so there's no extra paperwork at pickup. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and you're set. Most guests are surprised how quickly the verification clears, often within a few hours of booking your Loudon RV trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsIs RVezy's protection plan included when I rent an RV in Loudon?
Yes, every RV rental in Loudon automatically includes an RVezy renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the road toward Tellico Lake or the Smokies with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers eligible damage to the vehicle during your trip, and during checkout you choose the coverage tier that fits your comfort, not the host. This isn't traditional auto insurance, but it provides meaningful financial protection if something unexpected happens. Pro tip: pick your protection tier based on your route. If you're heading into the mountains around Gatlinburg or the Cherohala Skyway, many guests choose a higher tier for extra confidence on winding roads.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat is the cancellation policy if my Loudon RV trip plans change?
You can book with confidence: RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every booking (not the host), and it includes a full money-back grace period after you book so you have time to firm up plans. After that window, refunds depend on how close to your trip start date you cancel, and special situations like natural disasters or severe weather (which can affect East Tennessee during spring storm season) are reviewed by the RVezy support team. You won't see different policies between Loudon listings because it's a standard RVezy process. Pro tip: book early to lock in summer Tellico Lake dates, then use the grace period to finalize campground reservations stress-free.

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental Loudon options are easy to spot on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you'll see hosts who welcome dogs (and sometimes cats) right in their listing. Many Loudon-area hosts are pet owners themselves and happily share tips on the best tail-wagging spots. Take your pup to the trails at Fort Loudoun State Historic Park or shoreline areas around Tellico Lake. Most lakefront campgrounds, including Toqua and Lotterdale Cove, allow leashed pets. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm pet fees and bring a long lead so your dog can enjoy the shoreline safely.
tnstateparks.com/parks/fort-loudounCan the RV be delivered to my campground in Loudon?

Delivery fees typically range from $2 to $4 per mile, and some hosts offer free delivery within a set radius of Loudon. Filter listings by Delivery to see who offers it. Pro tip: delivery is a game-changer if you're nervous about towing or maneuvering a big rig over the Tennessee River bridge. Just show up, unpack groceries, and start your lake getaway.

Hosts set their own mileage policies, but most include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and many offer unlimited mileage packages or generous bundles if you're planning a longer route. Fall (mid-October to early November) is a local favorite: cool 60s, low humidity, and dazzling Smoky Mountains foliage just 45 minutes away. Winter lows hover around freezing, so RV camping Loudon can be a year-round option if your rental has a furnace. Pro tip: reserve RVs for the first two weekends of October early, that's peak leaf-peeping season and the most popular time of year.
weather.gov/mrx/I've never rented an RV before. Will I be able to handle it?
Absolutely, and Loudon is one of the friendliest places to start. If it's your first time renting an RV, every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through the generator, slide-outs, water system, propane, and dump procedures. You can message your host anytime with questions, and 24/7 roadside assistance is built into your booking. Loudon's flat roads along the Tennessee River and quiet rural highways make for stress-free practice before you tackle anything bigger. Pro tip: start with a Class C motorhome or a smaller travel trailer for your first Loudon RV trip, both are easy to drive, and pick a host with strong reviews mentioning their orientation. You'll feel confident within an hour.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002180454-RentersWhat happens if something goes wrong on the road in Tennessee?
You're never alone out there. Every RV rental in Loudon comes with 24/7 roadside assistance included in the RVezy protection plan, covering common issues like flat tires, lockouts, dead batteries, towing, and mechanical breakdowns. One quick call and help is dispatched, whether you're on I-75 near Sweetwater, climbing toward Newfound Gap in the Smokies, or camping near Tellico Plains. Your host is also just a message away for questions about quirks specific to their RV, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: snap a quick photo of the RV's tire info and tank locations at pickup. It speeds up any roadside call so you can get rolling again fast.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Loudon RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is generally fine. Most Loudon hosts welcome trips across the southeastern US, including popular routes to North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Virginia. Cross-border travel to Canada may be allowed depending on the host and protection coverage, so message the host directly from the listing to confirm before booking. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because protection coverage doesn't extend there. Popular interstate trips from Loudon include the 130-mile drive to Asheville, NC, a 220-mile run to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky, and the 350-mile journey to Savannah, GA. Pro tip: a 7-to-10-day loop through the Smokies, Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is a classic RV road trip from Loudon.

Tennessee gas prices are usually below the national average, and you'll find easy fill-ups at the Pilot and Love's truck stops right off I-75 in Loudon, both with high-clearance pumps perfect for tall RVs. Pro tip: fuel up in Tennessee before crossing into North Carolina or Georgia where prices typically climb, especially heading toward the Smokies.

Tennessee State Parks (including nearby Fort Loudoun State Historic Park day-use) use the official Tennessee State Parks reservation site and accept bookings up to 12 months in advance. National park campgrounds in the Smokies, like Cades Cove and Elkmont, book up to 6 months ahead via Recreation.gov and can sell out within minutes for fall weekends. Pro tip: if you strike out on a popular weekend, check Sunday-to-Thursday slots, you'll often score a lakefront site and quieter neighbors.
tnstateparks.com/reservationsWhat are driving conditions like around Loudon?

Watch for occasional fog along the river on cool mornings and afternoon thunderstorms in July and August. Heading east toward the Smokies, the climb up US-321 and US-441 includes steep grades, so downshift and take it slow. rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Loudon,TennesseeHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and secure. When you book your RV rental Tennessee adventure, RVezy charges your card for the rental total through the platform (never directly to the host) and the funds are held safely until your trip begins. A refundable security deposit, which varies by RV value, is pre-authorized on your card before pickup rather than charged outright. After drop-off, assuming the RV is returned in the agreed condition, the hold is released. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos of the RV's interior, exterior, and odometer at both pickup and return. It's the easiest way to keep your full deposit and start planning your next Loudon trip.
