Renting Kim’s RV was a great experience. We had an out of state family reunion (roughly 1,100 miles round trip) and the RV didn’t skip a beat! The two bunk beds that pop out are slightly bigger than other RV’s (it fit a 5ft 5in adult comfortably) and the Queen Bed above the driver seat fits a couple comfortably. Kim provides some outdoor living amenities like folding chairs and tarps.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Manchester, Tennessee?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Manchester, Tennessee. The State of Tennessee does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or specialty endorsement for personal-use RVs, even larger Class A motorhomes you'd drive down I-24. RVezy approved renters are generally 25 or older with a valid license, and ID verification is handled securely through the platform during checkout, with no paperwork to print or notarize. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country's auto association before your trip. Most first-time renters are approved within a few hours.

What protection is included with my Manchester RV rental?

Every RV rental in Manchester, TN booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can roll toward the Duck River or Bonnaroo with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers physical damage to the vehicle and is built into your booking, not an add-on you have to chase down. You choose your coverage level during checkout (not the host), letting you pick the package that matches your comfort and budget. While this isn't traditional auto insurance, it provides substantial financial protection for typical mishaps like a tree branch scrape at Old Stone Fort or a curb tap downtown.

What happens if I need to cancel my Manchester RV trip?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and there's a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in dates with confidence. Refund eligibility after that grace window depends on how far out your trip is and whether exceptional circumstances apply. If a host cancels, RVezy works to refund you or provide travel credits so your plans stay on track. To see exactly how your dates land, review the cancellation details during checkout, then book your Manchester RV trip knowing flexibility is built in.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Manchester?

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental Manchester options are easy to find: just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to see listings whose hosts welcome dogs. Once you're rolling, your pup will love Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park, which allows leashed pets on its trails along the Duck and Little Duck Rivers. Fred Deadman Park and Rotary Park in Manchester are both leash-friendly for an evening stroll. Pack a copy of vaccination records since some private campgrounds request them at check-in. Pro tip: shaded campsites at Old Stone Fort stay noticeably cooler in summer, which dogs appreciate as much as their humans.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite or to Bonnaroo?

Yes, RV delivery Manchester is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on the farm just outside town. Many local hosts will drop the RV directly at your Bonnaroo RV pod, your site at Old Stone Fort State Park, or even your driveway, then level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system. That means zero stress about driving a big rig your first time out. Use the Delivery filter when searching, then message the host to confirm the address and any setup fee. It's the easiest path to a great Manchester RV trip, especially for first-time renters.

When is the best time of year for RV camping in Manchester, TN?

Manchester shines for RV camping from April through early November, with spring (April-May) and fall (late September-October) being the sweet spots. Summer (June-August) is warm and humid with highs typically in the upper 80s to low 90s°F, perfect if you want to swim near Old Stone Fort and catch Bonnaroo in mid-June. Winters are mild but damp, ranging 30-50°F, and many private parks stay open year-round. Insider tip: book the second weekend of October for peak leaf color without summer crowds.

I've never driven an RV before. Is renting one in Manchester really doable?

Yes, first time renting an RV in Manchester is genuinely beginner-friendly, and thousands of festival-goers do it every June. Your host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup, covering everything from leveling jacks to the propane water heater, and you'll leave with their phone number for quick questions. Manchester's roads are forgiving: US-41 and TN-55 are wide, and I-24 has long, gentle grades compared to mountain interstates. If city driving makes you nervous, choose RV delivery so the host parks and sets up the rig for you. Pro tip: travel trailers under 25 feet and Class C motorhomes are the easiest to handle for newcomers cruising around Coffee County.

Roadside covers things like flat tires, jump-starts, lockouts, and towing to a qualified service location. Your host is also a direct resource for quirks specific to their RV, like a finicky awning or a particular dump valve. Manchester has RV-friendly service shops nearby, plus the larger Murfreesboro service market about 35 miles north on I-24 for any specialty repairs.

Push roughly 200 miles east to Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or hop about 150 miles north into Kentucky's bourbon country. What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how much will fuel cost?

Budget-wise, Manchester sits in one of the more affordable fuel markets in the country, with Tennessee gas prices typically running below the national average. Expect roughly 7-10 MPG for Class A motorhomes, 10-14 MPG for Class C, 15-20 MPG for Class B campervans, and for travel trailers it depends on your tow vehicle (usually 10-14 MPG combined). A round trip from Manchester to Nashville (about 140 miles) and back in a Class C runs roughly $35-50 in fuel at typical prices. Pro tip: top off at the major truck stops right off I-24 before heading out, since smaller stations near campgrounds typically charge more per gallon.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Manchester?

Reserve early and you'll always land a spot. Old Stone Fort State Park bookings open well in advance through the Tennessee State Parks reservation system, and fall weekends plus the weeks around Bonnaroo can fully book within hours of release. For non-Bonnaroo summer weekends, 2-3 months ahead is usually safe. Manchester KOA Journey and other private parks generally fill 1-2 months out for weekends but often have weekday availability. Bonnaroo RV camping should be locked in as soon as the festival opens sales (typically early in the year). Insider tip: cancellations at state park sites often pop up close to arrival as other guests adjust plans, so refresh the booking page often.

What's driving like around Manchester, and are there any local conditions to know?

Driving an RV around Manchester is refreshingly low-stress: terrain is rolling rather than mountainous, and I-24, US-41, and TN-55 are all wide and well-maintained. The biggest local consideration is Bonnaroo week in mid-June, when traffic on TN-55 between I-24 and the festival farm slows to a crawl, so plan pickups before Wednesday or after the festival ends. Summer thunderstorms can be sudden, so check radar before crossing the Cumberland Plateau toward Chattanooga. Watch for low-hanging branches on rural roads near Old Stone Fort. Pro tip: avoid downtown Manchester's older side streets in any rig over 28 feet.

What amenities do campgrounds near Manchester offer, and where can I dump and fill water?

You'll find solid hookups at most Manchester-area campgrounds. Old Stone Fort State Park provides sites with water and 30/50-amp electric, hard-surface pads, picnic tables, grills, and a dump station. Showers are available seasonally in the main bathhouse. Manchester KOA Journey offers full hookups including sewer at the site, Wi-Fi, and a pool. Bonnaroo's on-site RV pods have varying hookup tiers from primitive to full service. Potable water fills are available at Old Stone Fort. Pro tip: pack a 25-foot freshwater hose and a 90-degree elbow, since some state park spigots sit lower than expected.
tnstateparks.com/parks/old-stone-fort

What's typically included inside a Manchester RV rental?

Manchester motorhome rentals come surprisingly well-equipped. Most listings include a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, sleeping for 4-8 depending on the rig, climate control with roof AC and furnace, fresh/gray/black water tanks, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many hosts throw in starter kits with bedding, kitchenware, outdoor chairs, and a leveling kit. Generators are common on Class A and Class C motorhomes, which matters at Bonnaroo's primitive pods. Wi-Fi and TVs vary by listing, so check the amenities list before booking. Pro tip: message your host before pickup to confirm whether linens are included, since a quick stop at the Manchester Walmart can fill any gaps.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Manchester%2C%20Tennessee

What add-ons and pickup options should I expect when I rent an RV in Manchester, TN?

When you rent an RV in Manchester, TN, hosts often offer useful add-ons that elevate your trip: generators (a must for Bonnaroo dry-camping), bike racks, outdoor grill packages, linen and kitchen kits, and propane top-ups. Pickup is typically at the host's home or a mutually agreed meet point near I-24, and many hosts deliver directly to Old Stone Fort State Park, Bonnaroo's RV pods, or your driveway in town. Mileage policies vary, with most listings offering 100-150 free miles per night and per-mile overages commonly between $0.30-$0.50. Pro tip: bundle delivery, generator, and a starter kit for the smoothest first-timer experience, since many hosts discount these when booked together.

How does payment and the security deposit work on an RVezy rental in Manchester?

Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy at the time of booking, and your funds are processed according to RVezy's payment policy, which protects both you and the host. A refundable security deposit is placed as a hold before pickup, separate from your booking payment (amount varies by RV class and host) and is released after the trip if the RV comes back in the same condition. No cash changes hands with the host. To avoid issues, take time-stamped photos and a short video of the RV at pickup and again at drop-off, and follow the host's checklist for tanks and fuel. Pro tip: keep your fuel and dump receipts as proof, which makes deposit release fast and friction-free.
