2016 Thor Motor Coach Class C
Marco and Gina were terrific and answered all the questions we had (never driven an rv before), it was the best experience and we will definitely be using them again. The rv itself was very clean, super comfortable and had everything we’d ever need fully stocked which made it so simple. Can’t recommend them enough!

2016 Thor Motor Coach Class C
Marco and Gina's RV was perfect for our Labor Day family camping trip. Marco gave an extremely thorough tour of the RV to show all the impressive features and make sure we knew how to operate everything from the canopy, generator, heater, etc. The RV was more stocked with supplies than expected (bedding, silverware, etc) so we didn't need to pack as much. Though I was a bit nervous to drive something that large on the curvy campground roads, Marco had me drive around the neighborhood first to make sure I got a feel for the handling. Will definitely contact them again next Labor Day.

rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Diamond%20Springs%2C%20CaliforniaWhere can I park or camp with my RV near Diamond Springs? Any recommendations for local campgrounds?

Top picks include Sly Park Recreation Area on Jenkinson Lake, with both full hookup and dry RV sites, Coloma Resort along the American River close to gold-panning and rafting, and Ponderosa RV Resort in Lotus, a family-friendly park near Apple Hill. Overnight parking is not allowed on most public streets in El Dorado County, so plan to stay at a campground. Book early for holidays, summer weekends, and Apple Hill season in October.
eldoradocountyparks.org/sly-park-recreation-areaWhat is the best time of year for an RV trip to Diamond Springs based on the weather?
Spring (April to June) and fall (September to October) are the sweet spots for an RV trip to Diamond Springs, with daytime highs typically in the 70s to mid-80s F, cool nights, wildflowers in spring, and Apple Hill harvest festivals in the fall. Summers can be hot, with highs reaching the mid-90s, but shade is plentiful at lakeside campgrounds. Winters are cool, often 35 to 55 F, and milder than nearby Tahoe. Fill up before heading further into the Sierra foothills, where stations become sparse, to keep your RV trip on budget.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far ahead do I need to reserve local campgrounds near Diamond Springs?
For the best selection, reserve popular campgrounds like Sly Park Recreation Area and Coloma Resort 3 to 6 months in advance, especially for summer weekends, holidays, and Apple Hill season in October. Sly Park bookings are managed by El Dorado County Parks, and federal sites can be booked through Recreation.gov. Midweek sites are sometimes available last minute after Labor Day, but fall harvest weekends fill quickly, so set reminders when reservation windows open each year.
recreation.gov/What is it like driving an RV around Diamond Springs, any local road tips?
Roads in Diamond Springs are generally wide and smooth, especially Highway 49 and Pleasant Valley Road, making it manageable for most RVs. Older mining roads outside town can be narrow and winding, so take it slow and watch for wildlife at dawn and dusk. Heavy rain can cause brief closures in the Sierra foothills in winter, so check the Caltrans QuickMap before you head out. Avoid Placerville's Main Street with large RVs during festivals, when parking is limited.
quickmap.dot.ca.gov/What utilities and amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Diamond Springs?

Sly Park Recreation Area at Jenkinson Lake provides potable water, dump stations, and shower facilities, with a mix of hookup and dry sites. Some smaller county parks offer only basic services, so review each listing before booking. Most campgrounds include fire rings and picnic tables, perfect for s'mores nights.
eldoradocountyparks.org/sly-park-recreation-areaWhat amenities come with an RV rental in Diamond Springs, do I need to bring my own gear?

WiFi is less common, but cell service is generally reliable in town and portable hotspots are often available as add-ons. Many hosts also provide cookware, basic linens, and outdoor chairs, so review the listing or message your host directly if you need something specific for your Sierra foothills adventure.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Diamond%20Springs%2C%20CaliforniaWhat add-ons or special features can I get with my RV rental and how do fees work?
Diamond Springs hosts on RVezy often offer add-ons such as extra camping chairs, firewood bundles, stand-up paddleboards for Jenkinson Lake, or portable BBQs. Some also offer early pickup, late drop-off, or bedding upgrades for a small fee. All add-on costs are shown upfront before you confirm your booking, and you can request items directly through the booking page. For a family-friendly RV trip, ask your host about board games or outdoor gear for Gold Country evenings.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Diamond%20Springs%2C%20CaliforniaHow does the security deposit and payment process work for RV rentals in Diamond Springs?

Exact deposit amounts are shown on the listing and at checkout before you confirm, so there are no surprises.
