Excellent! From the initial contact our experience with Katie, and The Pony Express is absolutely perfect. We had prompt and clear communication. The Pony Express (RV), was delivered earlier than planned, super clean, with everything we needed, or asked for included. They set up and hooked up everything. Then, very clearly explained the details of using the RV. Over the coarse of 4 days we had just a few questions and concerns. Which Katie replied to almost immediately. It is a beautiful and well equipped trailer. Looks and feels like it is new. Perfect for us, 3 adults on this camping trip to a local music event. We look forward to contacting Katie and staying in The Pony Express again. Highly recommended!

This RV was perfect for our family weekend. We had it delivered to my brothers house so we could have our whole family over … and my family got to sleep in the cozy clean peace and quiet of the RV (not on my brothers pull out couch!) Scott was the perfect host. He delivered on time, was helpful with a quick ‘how to use’ tour and just super friendly. I’d rent again for sure!

When is the best time to visit Marysville for an RV trip?

The best time for an RV rental in Marysville is March through early June or late September through November. Expect spring wildflowers in the Sutter Buttes, mild temps (highs around 65 to 84 F / 18 to 29 C), and cooler fall camping. Summers can be hot (often 95 F / 35 C or higher), so shaded campgrounds and well-maintained AC are a must. Winter RV camping offers peaceful riverside scenes, but be prepared for occasional rain and lows in the 40s F. Aim for spring or fall to enjoy local festivals like the Bok Kai and the Marysville Stampede, plus the most comfortable weather.

Is driving an RV around Marysville easy? Any local road tips?

Driving your RV rental in Marysville is a relaxed experience: local roads are mostly flat, and traffic is lighter than Sacramento or larger cities. Main highways like CA-70 and CA-20 are RV-friendly with wide lanes, though watch for farm vehicles and occasional Tule fog in late fall and winter. Avoid downtown D Street during morning and afternoon school drop-offs for the smoothest drive. If you would rather skip in-town maneuvering, choose RV delivery and let your host set up at your site for you. Grab breakfast at Silver Dollar Saloon before hitting the road!

Both have on-site dump stations and potable water. Public dump options also exist at Beale AFB FamCamp and Camp Far West Lake for boondocking days. Always double-check campground amenities when you book. Lake Minden's 41-acre stocked lake is a great family option with spacious sites and fishing right outside your door.
