Marco and Gina's RV was perfect for our Labor Day family camping trip. Marco gave an extremely thorough tour of the RV to show all the impressive features and make sure we knew how to operate everything from the canopy, generator, heater, etc. The RV was more stocked with supplies than expected (bedding, silverware, etc) so we didn't need to pack as much. Though I was a bit nervous to drive something that large on the curvy campground roads, Marco had me drive around the neighborhood first to make sure I got a feel for the handling. Will definitely contact them again next Labor Day.

We booked the dude for an annual trip to a festival for our family (wife + 3 yr old daughter). The RV was absolutely perfect for the trip. My daughter was very excited about the bunk beds! We didn't use the TVs but there were several, including one outside, and a great library of family friendly DVDs. Everything was in working order which is generally not the case with most RVs and it drove perfectly. The host was amazing as well - super nice and very well prepared. It made the whole experience super easy. Overall, I'd highly recommend and plan on booking again next year!

We had a great experience renting Scott’s trailer! He delivered it right on time, and his communication throughout the entire process was excellent. He was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and responsive, making everything so easy and stress free. The trailer was also very clean, well kept, and exactly what we hoped for. We would absolutely rent from Scott again and highly recommend him!

rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Placerville%2C%20CaliforniaDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Placerville, CA?

A standard driver's license is enough for the motorhomes and travel trailers available on RVezy, and approved drivers are generally 25 or older. RVezy verifies your ID through the platform, so there is no extra paperwork. If you would rather skip driving a larger rig, many Placerville hosts offer RV delivery and setup at your campsite.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection is included with my RV rental in Placerville?
Every RV rental in Placerville booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan with insurance coverage and 24/7 roadside assistance. Yes. RVezy uses a standard platform-wide cancellation policy, so the terms are consistent across every RV rental in Placerville and are not set by individual hosts. New bookings include a grace period for a full refund, and you can request date changes directly from your dashboard. That flexibility makes it easier to book an Apple Hill or Lake Tahoe trip early and still adjust if plans shift.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I find a pet-friendly RV rental in Placerville?
Yes, you will find many pet-friendly RV rental options in Placerville. Use the pet-friendly filter on RVezy to narrow your search, then message the host to confirm any details. Once you arrive, dogs love the trails in Eldorado National Forest and the open orchards around Apple Hill. Some local campgrounds, including Placerville KOA, welcome pets, so your companion can enjoy Gold Country alongside you.
koa.com/campgrounds/placerville/Can the RV be delivered to my Placerville campground or home?
Yes, many RVezy hosts offer RV delivery in Placerville. Whether you are staying at Sly Park Recreation Area or hosting family near Main Street, select the delivery option when searching and enter your destination. Your host will tow, level, and set up the RV, then walk you through the systems before they leave. It is a stress-free option for first-time renters and anyone who would rather skip towing.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Placerville%2C%20CaliforniaHow far can I drive my RV rental from Placerville?
You have plenty of range from Placerville. South Lake Tahoe is roughly 60 miles east on Highway 50, Sacramento is about 45 miles west, and Yosemite National Park is around 160 miles south. Each listing sets its own mileage allowance, so review the rental's mileage policy or filter for an RV rental with unlimited mileage if you are planning a longer loop through Gold Country or the Sierra Nevada.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Placerville%2C%20CaliforniaWhere can I park my RV overnight in Placerville?
Placerville has several solid options for RV camping. Placerville KOA offers full hookups, a pool, and easy Highway 50 access. Sly Park Recreation Area at Jenkinson Lake has forested sites near the water, and the Ponderosa RV Resort and Campground sits just east of town. Public sites can be reserved on ReserveCalifornia, and bookings fill quickly during Apple Hill season, so reserve early.
koa.com/campgrounds/placerville/What is the best time of year to book an RV trip in Placerville?
Placerville is enjoyable year round. Spring (March to May) brings wildflowers with highs in the 60s to low 70s F, while autumn (September to October) is ideal for Apple Hill orchards and Gold Country vineyards. Summers are warm, often in the high 80s to mid 90s F, with cooler evenings. Winter trips are quieter and mild in town, but check Caltrans for chain controls if you plan to drive toward Tahoe.
weather.gov/sto/Is Placerville a good spot for first-time RV renters?
Placerville is a great launchpad for first time renting an RV. Highway 50 is well signed and easy to navigate, and there are plenty of nearby campgrounds within an hour of town. RVezy hosts provide a walkthrough at pickup, covering hookups, slide-outs, and driving tips, and many offer delivery so you can skip towing altogether. That hands-on support makes the first trip feel manageable and fun.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat if I have a breakdown with my RV rental near Placerville?
Every RV rental booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan. If you get a flat on Highway 50, need a jump at Sly Park, or run into mechanical trouble in the Sierra foothills, help is one phone call away. Coverage applies throughout your trip, so you can focus on the adventure instead of worrying about what-ifs.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Placerville RV rental across state lines?
Yes, Placerville is well placed for an RV road trip beyond California. Many hosts allow travel into Nevada for Lake Tahoe and Reno, and some permit longer trips into Oregon. Travel into Mexico is not permitted. Each listing sets its own travel area, so confirm allowed regions with your host before booking and share your route so they can advise on mileage and any seasonal road considerations.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow much should I plan to spend on fuel for a Placerville RV road trip?
Most motorhomes get about 8 to 12 miles per gallon, while travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. California fuel prices generally run above the national average, so budget accordingly, especially for climbs toward Tahoe or longer drives to Yosemite. Stations in Cameron Park and Pollock Pines along Highway 50 are usually cheaper than those in tourist hubs, making them good fuel stops on your route.
energy.ca.gov/data-reports/energy-almanac/transportation-energy/weekly-fuel-price-trendsHow far ahead should I book campgrounds near Placerville?
For the best campgrounds near Placerville, including Sly Park Recreation Area and Placerville KOA, book 2 to 6 months ahead for weekends and fall events. Public sites at Sly Park are managed by El Dorado Irrigation District and Recreation.gov, while California State Parks use ReserveCalifornia. Apple Hill weekends in September and October fill the fastest, so reserve early. Midweek and spring trips are easier to book last minute.
recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/234177Are local roads and highways around Placerville suitable for RVs?
Placerville is RV-friendly overall. Highway 50 is the main route through town with steady grades and clear signage for larger vehicles. Streets in historic Main Street are narrow, so a larger rig is better parked at a campground while you explore on foot. In winter, check Caltrans QuickMap for chain controls on Highway 50 east of town, since snow at higher elevations can require chains or 4WD.
quickmap.dot.ca.gov/What amenities do Placerville RV campgrounds usually have?
Most Placerville RV camping spots offer water, power, and sewer hookups, with Placerville KOA and Ponderosa RV Resort providing full service sites. Public parks like Sly Park have restrooms, showers, and dump stations, plus lake access and picnic areas at Jenkinson Lake. Pack a drinking-safe water hose and sewer hose for clean connections, and ask your host whether outdoor chairs, grills, or generators are included.
eid.org/recreation/sly-park-recreation-areaWhat features can I expect with my Placerville RV rental?
A typical Placerville motorhome rental or campervan rental includes beds, a kitchen with stove and fridge, a bathroom, heating, air conditioning, and seatbelted seating for the whole family. Many units also have awnings, TVs, generators, and solar for off-grid camping. Each RVezy listing details exactly what is included, and you can message the host to confirm camping gear, firewood policies, or extras like kayaks before you book.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Placerville%2C%20CaliforniaAre there add-ons or extra fees for Placerville RV rentals?
Many Placerville RV rentals offer optional add-ons such as bedding, cookware, camp chairs, generator use, or extra mileage, each shown on the listing with clear pricing. Some hosts also provide flexible pickup times or delivery to your campground. Filter for the features that matter most to you, then message the host with any must-haves so the RV arrives ready for your trip with no surprises at checkout.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Placerville%2C%20CaliforniaHow do security deposits and payments work for RV rentals in Placerville?
Booking payments and security deposits are handled securely through RVezy. The security deposit is separate from your booking total and is held to cover potential incidentals like damage or excess cleaning. Provided the RV is returned in its original condition, the deposit is released back to you after the trip. A walkthrough with your host at pickup and drop-off, plus photos of the RV, helps keep the return smooth.
