Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Hollywood, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Hollywood?

RV rental in Hollywood is more affordable than many travelers expect when you book through RVezy. Travel trailers typically start around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes run $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A coaches can reach $300 or more. Snowbird season from January through March is the priciest window, while May through early November often delivers cheap RV rental Hollywood deals 20 to 30 percent below winter rates. To stretch your budget, filter by Instant Book, choose a travel trailer if you already have a tow vehicle, and book midweek pickups. Many Hollywood hosts also drop nightly rates for stays of 5 nights or more, so it is worth asking before you confirm.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Hollywood, Florida?

Good news: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Hollywood, Florida. Florida does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for motorhomes or trailers used recreationally, no matter the size. To book on RVezy you simply need to be 25 or older with a valid license, and ID verification is handled quickly through the platform during checkout. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) for an easy pickup. Most first-time renters in South Florida are surprised how straightforward it is, and your host will walk you through the entire RV at pickup before you drive off.

Is there protection included with my Hollywood RV rental?

Yes. Every RV rental in Hollywood booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can drive A1A or I-95 with real peace of mind. You choose your level of coverage at checkout (not the host), which means you control how much physical-damage protection you want before heading to the Hollywood Broadwalk or out to the Everglades. Pair your plan with a careful walkthrough at pickup, including photos and a short video of the RV inside and out, and you are set for a confident, low-stress motorhome rental Hollywood experience.

What happens if I need to cancel my Hollywood RV trip?

Booking is lower-risk than you might expect. RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every reservation (not the individual host), and it includes a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates and still have flexibility if plans change. Because the policy is handled centrally by RVezy, you will not see it listed on individual host pages. If a hurricane, tropical storm warning, or other natural disaster impacts South Florida (always possible from June through November), RVezy's support team reviews those situations directly and works with you on options. Book early for January through March snowbird season when Hollywood inventory disappears fast.

Can I bring my dog on a Hollywood RV rental?

Yes, pet-friendly RV rental Hollywood options are plentiful on RVezy. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when you search and you will see motorhomes and travel trailers from hosts who welcome dogs (and often cats too). Hollywood is one of the most dog-loving cities in South Florida: Dog Beach of Hollywood at the north end of the Broadwalk allows leashed dogs on designated days, and Topeekeegee Yugnee (T.Y.) Park has shaded trails ideal for a morning walk before the heat builds. Message the host before booking to confirm any pet fee, and bring a portable water bowl, since Florida's humidity can dehydrate dogs quickly.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground or hotel in Hollywood?

Yes, RV delivery Hollywood is one of the most popular options on RVezy and a real game-changer for first-time renters. Many local hosts will tow or drive the RV directly to your chosen campground (such as Hollywood KOA, Topeekeegee Yugnee Park, or Yacht Haven Park & Marina in Dania Beach), set up the awning, level the rig, connect water and 30/50-amp power, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. Use the Delivery filter when searching and enter your destination address. Delivery fees vary by host and distance, typically a flat fee within Broward County or a per-mile rate. Requesting delivery to a state park or quiet campground also lets you skip driving a big rig through Fort Lauderdale traffic.

How does mileage work, and how far can I travel from Hollywood?

Most Hollywood RV hosts include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and several offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is ideal for a longer Florida loop. You will see the exact mileage allowance and any overage rate on every listing before you book. From Hollywood you can easily reach Miami Beach (about 25 miles, 35 minutes), the Everglades National Park Shark Valley entrance (about 50 miles, 1 hour), Key Largo (about 60 miles south, around 1.5 hours), Key West (about 160 miles, 3.5 to 4 hours), and Orlando (about 210 miles, around 3.5 hours). For a Keys road trip, choose a host offering unlimited miles, since a round-trip to Key West alone can use up most standard allowances.

Where are the best campgrounds near Hollywood?

You have fantastic options for RV camping Hollywood within a short drive. Hollywood KOA Holiday sits between Miami and Fort Lauderdale with full hookups and 50-amp service. Topeekeegee Yugnee Park (locals call it T.Y. Park) is a Broward County park with a water playground, shaded sites, and a lake loop perfect for evening walks. Yacht Haven Park & Marina in Dania Beach offers waterfront sites along the Dania Cut-Off Canal. About 25 miles south, Larry & Penny Thompson Park near Zoo Miami offers wooded sites with full hookups. T.Y. Park books up first for weekends, so reserve through the Broward County Parks site as early as possible.
broward.org/Parks/TYPark/Pages/default.aspx

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Hollywood?

Hollywood is a true year-round RV destination, but the sweet spot is mid-November through mid-April, when daytime highs sit around 75 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity is comfortable. January through March is peak snowbird season (sunny, dry, and busy), so book at least 2 to 3 months ahead. Late April through May offers strong value with warm beach weather and thinner crowds. June through October is hot (highs around 88 to 92 degrees) and humid, with afternoon thunderstorms and Atlantic hurricane season running June 1 to November 30. Shoulder months like November and early December deliver beautiful beach days at off-peak prices, making them a smart-money window for a Hollywood RV trip.

I've never rented an RV before, will I be able to handle it?

You absolutely can, and most first time renting an RV stories from Hollywood end with travelers saying it was easier than expected. Every RVezy host gives a hands-on orientation at pickup: how to extend the awning, run the air conditioning, manage the freshwater and gray/black tanks, hook up shore power, and operate the propane stove and fridge. If anything feels confusing later, message the host through the RVezy app, most are happy to text or hop on a quick video call. If you are brand new, choose a Class C motorhome (drives like a large van) or a travel trailer paired with a capable tow vehicle. Pick up your Hollywood RV rental on a weekday morning so you can get comfortable behind the wheel before heading to A1A.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirements

What happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?

You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering common issues such as flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing if something serious happens, whether you are on I-95 heading to Miami or deep in the Everglades on US-41. One call connects you with a dispatcher who arranges service to your exact location. Your host is also reachable through the RVezy app and usually responds quickly for system questions like resetting the generator or troubleshooting the AC, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after every trip. Snap a photo of the tire sizes and VIN at pickup so any roadside call goes faster.

Can I take my Hollywood RV rental on a road trip out of state or across the border?

Yes, an RV road trip from Hollywood across state lines is welcome on most RVezy listings. Popular routes head north on I-95 to Savannah (about 380 miles), west on I-10 toward New Orleans (about 870 miles), or up to the Smoky Mountains for a cooler escape. Confirm out-of-state travel with your host through the message thread before booking, since each host sets their own travel range. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Travel to Canada may be allowed with host approval and can have insurance implications, so ask directly before you book. A 4-day Florida Keys loop from Hollywood down to Key West and back remains one of the most-loved itineraries among local renters.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

How much should I budget for fuel on a Hollywood RV trip?

Fuel is easier to budget than many travelers expect. Class B campervans average roughly 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes get about 10 to 14 MPG, and larger Class A coaches run around 7 to 10 MPG. Florida gas prices typically sit near the national average, and you can check current Hollywood-area prices before you leave to estimate accurately. A typical 4-day, 400-mile loop to the Keys and back in a Class C usually costs around $110 to $150 in fuel at recent price levels. Diesel pushers cost more per gallon but travel farther per tank. Fill up at warehouse-club stations or off-interstate gas stations along US-441 rather than at I-95 exits, and avoid refueling right on Hollywood Beach where prices tend to spike.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Hollywood?

Book as early as you can, especially for the busy season. For January through March (peak snowbird months), reserve Hollywood KOA, Yacht Haven Park, and other private parks 4 to 6 months in advance. T.Y. Park and other Broward County campgrounds open reservations through the Broward County Parks website and fill weekends 60 to 90 days out. Florida State Parks such as Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park (formerly John U. Lloyd Beach State Park, just 15 minutes from downtown Hollywood) accept reservations 11 months ahead through ReserveAmerica and can book up within minutes when the window opens. For summer and fall stays, 2 to 4 weeks ahead is usually fine. Set a calendar reminder for exactly 11 months before your target date at 8 a.m. Eastern to snag a coveted oceanfront state park spot.
floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/dr-von-d-mizell-eula-johnson-state-park

What are driving conditions like in and around Hollywood?

South Florida driving is manageable once you know the rhythm. I-95 and I-595 are the main arteries, and traffic peaks weekdays from about 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m., so plan pickups and drop-offs midday. The Florida Turnpike (a toll road) is a smoother alternative heading north or south, and many Hollywood hosts include a SunPass transponder, just ask in advance. Watch height clearances: A1A along Hollywood Beach has palm tree branches and signed low overpasses, so know your RV's height (most Class C rigs are 10 to 11 feet). Summer afternoon thunderstorms can drop heavy rain fast, so slow down and use lights. Avoid driving large rigs through downtown Miami or South Beach, park at T.Y. Park or Hollywood KOA and rideshare in instead.
fl511.com/

What amenities can I expect at Hollywood-area campgrounds?

South Florida campgrounds are well-equipped and mostly open year-round thanks to the mild climate. Expect full hookup sites (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), WiFi at most parks, heated pools, laundry facilities, and clean bathhouses with showers. Hollywood KOA, Yacht Haven Park, and other local parks often offer paved or concrete pads. Dump stations and freshwater fill are standard at every full-service park. For boondocking or filling water between stops, Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park (formerly John U. Lloyd Beach State Park) has facilities accessible to day visitors for a small fee. Pack a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a 90-degree elbow, since many older South Florida sites have awkward spigot placement.
floridastateparks.org/learn/rv-and-tent-camping

What's inside a typical RV rental in Hollywood?

You will find a fully equipped home on wheels. Most Hollywood RV rentals on RVezy come with a queen or king bed, a convertible dinette or bunk for extra sleepers, a kitchen with a 2- or 3-burner stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and a full bathroom with toilet and shower. Air conditioning is essential in Florida and standard on every listing, along with a propane furnace for the occasional cool January night. Class A and C motorhomes typically include a generator (great for tailgating before a Hard Rock Stadium Dolphins game), a TV, and often outdoor speakers and an awning. WiFi varies, so confirm with your host. Ask whether the host provides linens, kitchenware, and beach chairs, since many Hollywood listings include these extras at no charge.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Hollywood,%20Florida

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Hollywood hosts offer plenty of useful extras to customize your trip. Common add-ons include bedding and towel packages, fully stocked kitchen kits, portable generators for boondocking, bike racks, beach chairs and umbrellas, paddleboards, and pet kits. Some hosts also offer pre-trip propane fills and pre-paid dump or wastewater service so you can return the RV without extra chores. Pickup is usually at the host's location in Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Davie, or Hallandale Beach, with delivery often available to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) for fly-in renters, just minutes from downtown Hollywood. If you are heading to a festival or event, ask hosts whether their listing welcomes event camping and includes a generator.
broward.org/Airport/Pages/default.aspx

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure. RVezy processes all payments online through the platform using a credit or debit card, so you never hand cash or a check to the host. You pay the booking total at the time of reservation, which secures your dates. The security deposit is handled separately from the booking payment and is typically pre-authorized on your card before pickup, then released after the host confirms the RV came back in good shape. To avoid deposit issues, do a thorough walkthrough at pickup, take dated photos and video of any existing scratches or interior wear, and return the RV with fuel and tanks per the listing's instructions. Keep any gas and dump-station receipts in case questions come up later.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Where can I park an RV in Hollywood overnight if I'm not at a campground?

Hollywood enforces its parking rules, but you have legitimate options. The City of Hollywood does not allow overnight RV camping on public streets, beach lots, or the Broadwalk. On private residential property, RVs generally must be stored on an approved hard surface and follow local zoning rules, so always confirm with the property owner. For overnight stops, head to one of the area campgrounds such as Hollywood KOA, T.Y. Park, or Yacht Haven Park, all of which welcome RVs of varying sizes. For a family RV trip Hollywood with multiple stops, book your campgrounds first and use the RV simply for daytime beach access at Hollywood Beach's metered lots.
