The RV was fantastic and Josh was a great host! We were his first booking and you never would’ve known. He was super thorough in the walk-around going through the RV and the intricacies of the truck (it has air brakes!). Once on the road, it was super easy to drive, if you can say that about a 36’ Super C! The air ride seat made it really comfy and the adaptive cruise made it super easy to navigate from the driver side. And the kids and wife loved the onboard generator to watch TV, heat up some food, use the restroom, and even sleep while en route to our destination. When it’s time for another adventure, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Josh to rent again! Highly recommend Josh and his RV.

This was a wonderful experience. We camped in beach areas as well as wooded by a lake and this van was comfortable, reliable and REALLY easy to drive. We went to Atlanta, also, to the aquarium and navigating the city was easy as pie in this thing. The owners are INCREDIBLY nice and the communication is some of the best I’ve ever seen across things like this app, AirBnB, etc. Great people, great van, great experience.

We rented this camper for the night race at Atlanta motor speedway and what a great decision it was. Kris set everything up and had everything topped off for us. Water, propane, gas. The camper was very clean and had everything we needed. Kris was very responsive to messages prior to booking. This was my first time renting a camper and I can’t wait to do it again. Highly recommend Kris. Great guy to do business with.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Conyers, GA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Conyers, GA?

RV rental in Conyers is one of the most affordable ways to explore metro Atlanta and Georgia's Piedmont region. Travel trailers typically run $90 to $160 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A rigs sit between $250 and $400. Since hosts on RVezy set their own pricing, you'll often see deals on midweek bookings, longer stays of 5+ nights, and shoulder-season dates in late February or November. Filter by your price range, then watch for hosts offering discounted weekly rates. Pro tip: booking a trailer paired with delivery to Georgia International Horse Park often costs less than renting a tow-capable truck plus a hotel.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Conyers?

Good news: a regular Class C driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Conyers and across Georgia. The Georgia Department of Driver Services specifically exempts recreational vehicles from Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements when used for personal travel, so you can drive everything from a campervan to a 35-foot Class A motorhome with the license already in your wallet. You'll need to be 25 or older to book on RVezy, and ID verification happens right inside the platform. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your home license and you're set to roll out from Conyers.

What protection is included with my Conyers RV rental?

Every booking on RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit I-20 east out of Conyers with real peace of mind. The protection plan helps cover damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose the coverage level during checkout, not the host. It provides meaningful financial protection if something unexpected happens on the road to Stone Mountain or Hard Labor Creek. Pro tip: review the coverage tiers before you book and pick the plan that matches your comfort level. Many first-time renters in Conyers go with a mid or top-tier plan for the extra reassurance.

What if I need to cancel my Conyers RV rental?

Booking is low-risk because RVezy, not the host, sets the cancellation policy for every reservation. There's a money-back grace period right after booking, plus structured refund options based on how far out your trip start date is. Because policies depend on timing and circumstances, the most accurate, up-to-date details live in the RVezy Help Center and on your booking confirmation. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy issues a refund or travel credit so your Conyers RV trip stays on track. Pro tip: lock in your dates early for the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival in March, you can review the policy before you commit and still feel confident clicking book.

When is the best time of year to rent an RV in Conyers?

Spring and fall are the sweet spots for a Conyers RV trip. From mid-March through May, daytime highs sit in the comfortable 65 to 80 degrees F range and the Yoshino cherry trees bloom around the annual Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival at Georgia International Horse Park. Fall, from late September through early November, brings 60 to 80 degrees F days, lower humidity, and gorgeous Piedmont color. Summers are hot and humid with highs of 85 to 92 degrees F and pop-up thunderstorms, so plan early-morning hikes and lean on the AC. Winters are mild at 35 to 57 degrees F, which means motorhome rental in Conyers is genuinely a year-round option. Pro tip: book by January for cherry blossom weekend, it fills up fast.

I'm a first-time RV renter. Will I be okay driving in the Conyers area?

First time renting an RV? You're going to be fine, especially around Conyers. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup covering driving, hookups, slides, water, and waste systems, and 24/7 roadside assistance has your back if anything pops up. Conyers itself sits just off I-20 about 25 miles east of downtown Atlanta with wide, modern roads, big-box parking lots for practice loops, and easy two-lane routes south to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit. Most renters choose a Class C motorhome or travel trailer for their first trip because they drive much like a large truck. Pro tip: nervous about Atlanta traffic? Pick a host who delivers and you'll never touch I-285.

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV on my trip?

You're never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing anywhere in the US. Your host is also just a message away through the RVezy app to walk you through quick fixes like resetting the generator or troubleshooting the fridge. From Conyers, help can reach you quickly thanks to the dense I-20 corridor and Rockdale County's proximity to Atlanta service centers. RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: snap photos of the RV's exterior at pickup and save the host's number to your phone for the smoothest experience.

Can I take my Conyers RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, you can rent an RV in Conyers and explore most of the US freely. Popular cross-state runs include Florida's Gulf Coast, Charleston and the Carolina coast, Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountains, and Asheville, NC. Travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the host and protection plan, so confirm directly with your host through the RVezy message system before booking if a cross-border RV road trip from Conyers is on your itinerary. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because protection coverage doesn't extend there. Pro tip: a classic 7-day loop from Conyers heads east on I-20 to Charleston, then down US-17 to Savannah, and back, roughly 700 miles total.

What should I budget for fuel on a Conyers RV trip?

Fuel is usually the second-biggest line item after the rental itself, but Georgia helps your budget. Gas prices in the Conyers area typically run 20 to 40 cents below the national average. Expect roughly 7 to 10 MPG for a Class A, 10 to 14 MPG for a Class C, and 12 to 18 MPG combined for a truck-and-travel-trailer setup. A typical 4-day, 400-mile loop to Savannah and back will run about $150 to $250 in gas. Many Class C motorhomes hold 40 to 55 gallons, so plan one or two fill-ups. Pro tip: fill up at the QuikTrip or RaceTrac stations along GA-138 or I-20 East before you leave Conyers, they're usually the cheapest in Rockdale County.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Conyers?

For the best campgrounds near Conyers, book early. Georgia State Parks like Hard Labor Creek and Stone Mountain accept reservations up to 13 months in advance through the official Georgia State Parks ReserveAmerica system, and weekends from April through October fill up months out. Georgia International Horse Park's RV park requires phone reservations at 770-860-4190 and books up around event weekends like the Cherry Blossom Festival. For private parks like Atlanta South RV Resort and Brooks Lake, aim for 4 to 8 weeks ahead in peak season. Pro tip: midweek arrivals (Sunday through Wednesday) often have last-minute openings even at popular spots, so don't give up if your first choice shows full.

What are driving conditions like around Conyers?

Driving in and around Conyers is refreshingly easy compared to driving downtown Atlanta. The city sits right on I-20 with wide lanes, modern interchanges, and gentle Piedmont terrain (no mountain grades). Avoid I-285 around Atlanta during weekday rush hours (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.) where 12-foot-plus RVs can feel cramped. Summer afternoon thunderstorms can pop up quickly between June and August, so check radar before rolling out. One specific tip if you're heading to Hard Labor Creek State Park: skip Fairplay Street in Rutledge because of a steep railroad crossing notorious for scraping RV undersides, and use Old Mill Road instead. Pro tip: head out before 9 a.m. or after 7 p.m. to dodge metro traffic entirely.

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Conyers?

Conyers-area campgrounds offer a comfortable mix of services. Georgia International Horse Park RV Park has full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer) at all 140+ sites plus shower facilities included with the daily fee. Hard Labor Creek State Park provides 30 and 50-amp electric at all RV sites, with 11 premium sites adding water and sewer, plus a dump station for non-premium sites. Stone Mountain Park Campground offers full hookups and Wi-Fi. Most parks have potable water fill stations and free dump stations for registered guests. Pro tip: where to park an RV in Conyers if you just need a quick dump and fill between trips? The Horse Park and several Flying J locations along I-20 east toward Madison offer pay-per-use dump services.

What's typically included inside a Conyers RV rental?

Conyers RVs come well-equipped for a comfortable trip. Expect a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, propane stove, microwave, sink, and basic cookware; a bathroom with toilet and shower; sleeping for 2 to 8 depending on the rig; a dinette that converts to a bed; and roof or dash AC (essential for Georgia's humid summers). Most Class C motorhomes include a generator for off-grid power, a TV, and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Many hosts add Wi-Fi hotspots, outdoor chairs, and starter kits with linens and kitchen basics. Pro tip: check the listing's amenity list for a propane fire pit, perfect for chilly fall nights at Hard Labor Creek or Stone Mountain. Campervan rental Conyers options are also great for solo travelers and couples who want simpler systems.

Mileage policies vary by host with daily allowances or unlimited mileage options clearly listed. Pro tip: instant-book listings let you confirm in seconds. How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and fully online. You'll pay your rental total securely through RVezy at booking using a credit or debit card, nothing changes hands with the host in cash. A refundable security deposit is held separately on your card before your trip starts and released after the RV is returned in the same condition you got it. Deposit amounts vary by listing and are clearly shown on the booking page. Pro tip: do a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff with the host, it documents the condition of the rig and makes deposit release smooth and fast so you can plan your next cheap RV rental in Conyers with confidence.

What are the best RV road trip ideas from Conyers, GA?

Head about 2 hours north to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the alpine-themed town of Helen for fall color. East on I-20 brings you to Augusta in around 90 minutes or coastal Savannah in about 4 hours (250 miles).
