We had a fantastic experience with Obi’s RV. It is a great RV, in excellent condition and really easy to drive and stay in. It is comfortable and spacious and Obi’s communication was excellent. Both he and his wife are lovely people and were incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole experience from booking through to return. I would highly recommend.

🌄 Our First RV Adventure—10 Days of Fun & Freedom! - This was our very first RV vacation, and while we were a little hesitant at first, Bill made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. He was incredibly helpful—available before, during, and even after our trip to answer questions and offer support. His thorough walkthrough before we hit the road gave us confidence, especially with tips on what to do in different situations. We took the RV for 10 days from South Florida to the mountains of Maryland, stopping at six different campgrounds and even plugging in at my sister’s and in-laws’ homes for a few nights. The RV had everything we needed and was in great shape—clean, well-equipped, and surprisingly easy to drive. We returned it with just a minor hubcap issue and no other problems, which felt like a blessing after such a big trip. We had an absolute blast and would highly recommend this RV to anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable, and fun way to travel. Thanks again, Bill!

Far and away a better experience than we could have hoped for. Sassy was the PERFECT RV for us. Very clean, adequate space (2 adults and a dog), well stocked with useful items and just all around fantastic. We traveled from CT to West Virginia, the trip just wouldn't have been the same without such comfortable accommodations. The couple was informative and incredibly flexible and accommodating with our unique schedule. We truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. We're already beginning to plan our next trip with Sassy. Thanks so much!!

Dealing with Scott was fantastic! This was my first time renting a trailer and he made things a breeze. He was very easy to communicate with and delivered as promised. We opted for delivery and he was right on time for drop off and pick up! Very helpful throughout the process. As for the trailer, it was exactly as advertised. It was extremely clean and well maintained. Even stocked with cookware, utensils, and dishes. As well as towels, pillows, and bed linens, all clean, fresh and neatly folded. The campground we stayed at did not have electric hookups, so we rented his generator as well. Worked great, easy start up and was decent on fuel consumption. I saw a review complaining about rodents, but there were absolutely no signs of them anywhere. I would absolutely recommend Scott and his trailer to anyone and plan to use him in the future!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Brunswick, MD

How much does an RV rental in Brunswick, MD typically cost?

An RV rental in Brunswick, MD is one of the more affordable ways to explore the C&O Canal and Harpers Ferry region. On RVezy, travel trailers in the Brunswick area typically run $90 to $175 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $175 to $300, and larger Class A motorhomes can reach $350 or more depending on age and amenities. You'll save the most by booking midweek, traveling outside the summer peak (mid-June through August), and choosing a travel trailer if you already have a tow vehicle. Many Brunswick hosts also offer multi-night and weekly discounts, so a 4 or 5 night stay along the Potomac often costs less per night than a weekend booking.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Brunswick, MD?

For almost every motorhome or trailer you'll rent in Brunswick, MD, your regular driver's license is all you need. Maryland only requires a non-commercial Class B license for very large motorhomes, and the vast majority of rentals on RVezy, including Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, travel trailers, and most Class A units, fall well under that threshold. You'll also need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, which RVezy verifies during booking. Visiting from outside the US? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country before you fly in, and you're cleared to pick up your Brunswick RV rental.

What protection and roadside assistance comes with my Brunswick RV rental?

Every RV rental in Brunswick, MD booked through RVezy automatically includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can head out to the C&O Canal towpath or Route 340 toward Harpers Ferry with real peace of mind. You choose your protection level during checkout (not the host), so you decide how much coverage feels right for your trip. Roadside assistance is built in, meaning if you get a flat on Jefferson Pike or need a tow off Route 17, help is one phone call away. It removes the biggest worry first-time renters have about something going wrong on the road.

What if my plans change? Can I cancel my Brunswick RV rental?

You can book your Brunswick, MD RV rental with confidence because RVezy (not the individual host) sets a clear, platform-wide cancellation policy that applies to every trip. There is a money-back grace period right after booking, with additional flexibility depending on how far in advance you cancel. Because the Potomac River corridor occasionally sees flooding or summer storms rolling through Frederick County, that built-in flexibility matters. Visit the RVezy Help Center or contact support to review the specific options for your booking, and lock in your dates without overthinking it.

Bring a long lead so your dog can lounge outside your RV while you grill dinner by the Potomac.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Brunswick?

Yes, RV delivery in Brunswick, MD is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it's a game-changer if it's your first time renting an RV. Many local hosts will drive the RV directly to Brunswick Family Campground (right on the C&O Canal at mile marker 54.5), Greenbrier State Park near Boonsboro, or even a private driveway in town. They'll level it, hook up power and water, walk you through every system, and pick it up when you're done, so you never have to tow or maneuver a large rig yourself. Filter for Delivery on RVezy, then message the host with your campsite number and arrival window to lock it in.

How far can I drive from Brunswick on a typical RV trip?

You can cover a surprising amount of the Mid-Atlantic on a Brunswick, MD RV trip thanks to its position at the crossroads of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Harpers Ferry National Historical Park is just 15 minutes (about 6 miles), Antietam National Battlefield is around 30 minutes (20 miles), Gettysburg is roughly 1 hour (45 miles), Shenandoah National Park's north entrance is about 1 hour 15 minutes (60 miles), and Washington, DC sits about 1 hour east (60 miles). Most RVezy hosts include a daily mileage allowance, and some offer an RV rental with unlimited mileage as an add-on, perfect if you're planning a multi-park loop through the Blue Ridge.

When is the best time to visit Brunswick, MD in an RV?

Brunswick, MD sits in a humid continental climate, so the sweet spot for an RV trip runs from late April through October, with two standout windows. Late April through early June brings 60-75°F days, blooming dogwoods along the Potomac, and far fewer crowds at Harpers Ferry. Mid-September through late October is peak season for many locals, when fall foliage explodes along the C&O Canal and average highs sit in the comfortable 65-75°F range. July and August can hit 85-90°F with humidity, so plan early-morning towpath rides. Winter (December to February) sees lows around 21°F and occasional snow, but several Brunswick hosts rent year-round to adventurous travelers.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay in the Brunswick area?

You'll be in great shape, even if it's your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup, covering driving, leveling, hookups, and the propane system, and they're a text away during your trip. The Brunswick area is genuinely beginner-friendly: Route 340 and Route 17 are wide, well-maintained highways, and once you're at Brunswick Family Campground or Greenbrier State Park, you're done driving for the day. If you'd rather skip driving entirely, choose a host who offers RV delivery in Brunswick. Pro tip: avoid downtown Brunswick's narrow railroad-town side streets near the MARC station with a larger rig, and stick to Maple Avenue for the campground approach.
roads.maryland.gov/Pages/default.aspx

What happens if something goes wrong on the road?

You're never on your own. Every Brunswick, MD RV rental on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so if you get a flat tire on Route 340, run out of fuel on Jefferson Pike, or have a mechanical issue near Harpers Ferry, one phone call gets help dispatched. Your host is also your first line of support for questions specific to the RV (like how to switch the fridge to propane), and RVezy's customer support team is reachable before, during, and after your trip. Save the roadside number in your phone before you leave and snap a photo of the RV's VIN at pickup, it speeds everything up.

Can I take my Brunswick RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Brunswick is a great launching point for a cross-border RV road trip. From Brunswick, MD you're minutes from West Virginia (Harpers Ferry), Virginia (just across the Potomac), and Pennsylvania (Gettysburg is about an hour north), and all three are fully covered under your RVezy booking. If you want to travel into Canada, message your host directly through the listing to confirm, since cross-border travel requires host approval. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because coverage doesn't extend there. Popular routes from Brunswick include the Skyline Drive loop through Shenandoah and a Civil War circuit through Gettysburg and Antietam.

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and what does gas cost near Brunswick?

Plan your fuel budget realistically and you'll enjoy the trip more. Class B campervans around Brunswick typically get 18-22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes average 8-12 MPG, larger Class A motorhomes run 6-10 MPG, and a midsize truck towing a travel trailer usually lands around 10-14 MPG. Gas prices in Frederick County tend to track a little above the national average. The Sheetz and Wawa stations on Route 340 and in Frederick are convenient large-vehicle stops with high-clearance pumps. Pro tip: a 3-night campervan rental Brunswick loop covering Harpers Ferry, Antietam, and the C&O Canal usually only uses 8-12 gallons total.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Brunswick?

For the best sites, book early, but you've got more flexibility here than at coastal parks. Brunswick Family Campground takes online reservations and fills its riverside RV sites 2-3 months ahead for summer weekends, especially around Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Greenbrier State Park uses parkreservations.maryland.gov and allows bookings up to 12 months in advance, with the 39 electric sites in the Cedar loop going fastest. Antietam Hagerstown KOA fills up around major battlefield anniversaries in September. Pro tip: midweek dates in May, June, and October open up regularly even on short notice, perfect for a spontaneous family RV trip Brunswick locals love.

What are the local driving conditions like around Brunswick, MD?

Driving an RV around Brunswick is refreshingly low-stress compared to bigger metros. Route 340 and Route 70 are the main arteries (wide, well-paved, and easy in any size RV), and Jefferson Pike (Route 180) connects you smoothly to the campground area. A few things to know: downtown Brunswick is a working railroad town with narrow streets near the MARC station, so larger rigs should approach Brunswick Family Campground via Maple Avenue. The bridge over the Potomac into Virginia (Route 287) has a lower clearance feel for tall Class A rigs, so check height before crossing. Watch for deer at dawn and dusk on Petersville Road, and expect occasional summer thunderstorms that can bring brief heavy rain.
roads.maryland.gov/Pages/default.aspx

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Brunswick?

You'll find a great mix of full-service and rustic options. Brunswick Family Campground offers 30-amp and 50-amp electric, water hookups, some full hookup sites with sewer, hot showers, a bathhouse, camp store, playground, and direct C&O Canal towpath access. Greenbrier State Park has electric sites (no full hookups), a dump station, hot showers, flush toilets, and a swimming lake. Most local campgrounds have a dump station on-site, and you can also fill fresh water at the campground spigot. Pro tip: cell signal can be spotty along the Potomac, so download offline maps before you leave Frederick. The Brunswick Family Campground has limited-bandwidth Wi-Fi at check-in and most RV sites, fine for browsing but not streaming.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/western/greenbrier/index.aspx

What's actually inside the RVs I can rent in Brunswick?

Most motorhome rentals in Brunswick come loaded for comfortable camping. Expect a queen or king bed, convertible dinette or bunks for kids, a kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, and sink, a full bathroom with shower and toilet, air conditioning, a furnace, and seatbelts for everyone riding. Many Class C and Class A rigs include a generator (great for boondocking near the C&O Canal), an outdoor awning, and a TV. Campervans skew smaller but still pack a galley kitchen, a bed, and often a wet bath. On the RVezy listing, scroll to the amenities section to confirm Wi-Fi boosters, solar, or a backup camera, and message the host if there's anything specific your family needs.

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Brunswick-area hosts offer some genuinely useful add-ons. The most popular include kitchen and linen kits ($40-$100), bike racks (handy for the C&O Canal towpath), camp chairs and outdoor rugs, generators or extra propane, and pet kits. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Brunswick, Knoxville, Jefferson, or nearby Frederick, with a 30-60 minute walkthrough. Many hosts also offer paid RV delivery to Brunswick Family Campground or Greenbrier State Park, often a flat fee plus mileage. Mileage policies vary, typically 100-150 free miles per night, with overage at $0.35-$0.45 per mile, and unlimited mileage is sometimes available as an add-on. Confirm pickup time and add-ons in your booking message to avoid surprises.
rvezy.com/

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and fully handled through RVezy, so you never hand cash to your Brunswick host. You pay the booking total with a credit or debit card when you reserve, and a refundable security deposit is held (typically $500-$1,500 depending on the RV) shortly before your trip starts. As long as the RV comes back in the same condition (clean, with the right fuel and propane levels, and no damage beyond the protection plan's scope), the deposit is released after your trip. Take date-stamped photos and a short video of the interior and exterior at pickup and drop-off, and review the host's cleaning and dump-station expectations, that's the single best way to ensure a smooth deposit return.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Where can I dump tanks and fill fresh water near Brunswick?

You've got several easy options within a short drive. Brunswick Family Campground has on-site water fill and a dump station available to registered guests, Greenbrier State Park (about 30 minutes north near Boonsboro) has a public dump station for campers, and Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Williamsport offers dump services to overnight guests. For longer trips, the Flying J in Hagerstown (about 45 minutes northwest off I-70) has dedicated RV lanes with fresh water, propane, and a dump. Pro tip: dump and refill before heading into Washington, DC or Shenandoah, since urban and national park dump access is more limited. Always wear gloves and rinse the hose area when you're done, your future self thanks you.
