We had a fantastic experience with Obi’s RV. It is a great RV, in excellent condition and really easy to drive and stay in. It is comfortable and spacious and Obi’s communication was excellent. Both he and his wife are lovely people and were incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole experience from booking through to return. I would highly recommend.

Gary and his wife made sure that we would have a great trip. It was super easy to hook it up and the camp grounds. What license do I need to rent an RV in Marlton?

Good news: a regular Maryland driver's license (or any standard US or Canadian license) is all you need to rent an RV in Marlton. There's no special endorsement or commercial driver's license required for any motorhome or travel trailer on the RVezy platform. Approved drivers are generally required to be at least 25 years old, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform during booking, so there's no extra paperwork on pickup day. When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Marlton?

July and August are popular but hot and humid, with highs around 87 degrees Fahrenheit and afternoon thunderstorms, so an RV with strong air conditioning is essential. Cross-border travel into Canada may be permitted with advance host approval and confirmation that your protection plan extends, so message the host before booking if Canada is on your itinerary. What should I budget for fuel on a Marlton RV trip?

Fuel is usually the biggest variable cost, so a quick estimate goes a long way. Class C motorhomes around Marlton typically get 8 to 12 mpg, Class B campervans 15 to 20 mpg, and a truck pulling a travel trailer about 10 to 14 mpg. Maryland gas prices generally track close to the national average, with diesel running about 30 to 50 cents higher per gallon. For a 300-mile weekend loop to Assateague and back, budget roughly $90 to $140 in fuel for a midsize Class C. Pro tip: fill up in Maryland or Virginia before crossing into DC, where prices tend to spike.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Marlton?

For peak Maryland summer weekends (Memorial Day through Labor Day) at popular spots like Cedarville State Forest, Greenbelt Park, or Assateague Island, book 4 to 6 months in advance through Recreation.gov for federal sites and the Maryland State Parks reservation system for state sites. Private parks like Cherry Hill Park and Duncan's Family Campground open bookings up to 12 months out and fill quickly for Fourth of July and cherry blossom season in DC. Shoulder-season trips in April or October can often be booked just 2 to 3 weeks ahead. Pro tip: weekday arrivals (Sunday through Wednesday) are dramatically easier to score, even in summer.

What are driving conditions like around Marlton?

Driving an RV around Marlton is very manageable once you know the local rhythm. Route 301 and Route 4 are wide, RV-friendly corridors with low traffic outside of rush hour, perfect for new drivers. Avoid the Capital Beltway (I-495) and I-295 during weekday rush periods (6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m.) when traffic crawls. Watch for the height clearance at the BW Parkway, which prohibits commercial vehicles and is restrictive for taller Class A motorhomes, so use I-95 instead. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge can be windy, so cross in the morning when winds are calmer. Pro tip: Google Maps' RV-aware routing is your friend in the DC metro.

What hookups and amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Marlton?

Most full-service RV parks near Marlton offer 30 and 50 amp electric, fresh water, and sewer hookups at each site, with on-site dump stations for travel trailers. Cherry Hill Park in College Park has full hookups, Wi-Fi, a pool, and a Metro shuttle. Duncan's Family Campground offers full hookups plus a lake. Cedarville State Forest provides electric sites with a central dump station and potable water fill. Greenbelt Park is rustic with no hookups but has restrooms and a dump station nearby. For dumping or filling water mid-trip, travel centers along I-95 north of the city are reliable options. Pro tip: arrive with a half-full fresh tank just in case.

How does payment and the security deposit work for a Marlton RV rental?

Booking on RVezy is straightforward and secure. You pay your trip total (rental, fees, protection, and any add-ons) directly through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card, with no cash changing hands with the host.
