Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Mayo, MD?

Good news: for virtually every RV rental in Mayo, your regular driver's license is all you need. The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) only requires a non-commercial Class B license for motorhomes over 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), and the Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels listed on RVezy fall well under that threshold. What are the local driving conditions like around Mayo, MD?

Driving an RV around Mayo is refreshingly manageable. The peninsula is flat, and the two main roads (Maryland Route 214 / Central Avenue and Mayo Road / MD 253) are wide enough for any rig you'll rent through RVezy. Watch for the South River Bridge into Annapolis, which has narrower lanes during weekday rush hour, and avoid downtown Annapolis with anything over 25 feet, the historic streets are tight. Summer brings beach traffic heading toward Bay-front parks, so plan arrivals before 11 a.m. on Saturdays. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge (US-50) east is a must-see drive but can get windy, check Maryland Transportation Authority advisories before crossing in a tall rig.
