We had an excellent experience with Jacob’s RV rental. Jacob kept in touch with us on the rental and his arrival time was perfect. The RV was clean and was as described. This was our first RV rental experience and Jacob made it easy for us. No complaints.

Reuben went over the RV with us in good detail to explain how everything worked. The RV worked well for our trip and was well equipped. He went the extra mile to help us with the AC.

2023 Forest River Travel Trailer
Sandy went above and beyond. Leading up to the rental dates she was in communication, making sure we were on the same page. I opted for delivery rather than pickup, and she made sure the rv was delivered early so we could fully enjoy the rental dates. We had a normal issue w the AC (the unit froze) but she was very communicative and helpful until the problem was solved (she suggested to turn it to fan in case the unit was frozen, and it quickly thawed). Always very sweet and courteous, always responsive. My four year old son loved the trailer, was very upset to understand that we had to give it back 😂. Thanks, Sandy!

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Dillsburg, PA?
An RV rental in Dillsburg, PA is one of the better values in the Harrisburg metro area, with travel trailer listings on RVezy commonly ranging from about $95 to $175 per night based on local availability near King's Campground. Class C motorhome rental Dillsburg options typically run $175 to $275 per night, while compact campervan rentals can come in lower, especially mid-week. To find a cheap RV rental Dillsburg travelers love, filter by price, book Sunday through Thursday, and aim for shoulder months like late April or October when Hersheypark crowds thin out. rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Dillsburg%2C%20PennsylvaniaDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Dillsburg, PA?
Great news: your standard Pennsylvania Class C driver's license (the everyday one in your wallet) is all you need to drive virtually every RV rental in Dillsburg, PA. Pennsylvania only requires a higher class license if your motorhome has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) over 26,000 pounds, and the Class A, Class C, travel trailer, and campervan rentals on RVezy in the Dillsburg area sit comfortably below that. You will need to be 25 or older to book on RVezy, and we'll confirm your ID through the platform in just a couple of minutes. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home license plus an International Driving Permit and you're set for a Dillsburg RV trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsIs RV rental in Dillsburg protected if something goes wrong?
Yes, and this is one of the most reassuring parts of booking on RVezy. Every RV rental in Dillsburg, PA includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance built right into your booking, so you're covered for eligible damages to the vehicle and have help one phone call away if you get a flat on Route 15 or a dead battery at King's Campground. During checkout you'll choose your preferred protection level, and the host doesn't pick that for you. The result: you can focus on Hersheypark, Gettysburg battlefields, and the Appalachian Trail instead of worst-case scenarios.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Dillsburg RV trip?
Booking is low-risk, so don't let calendar uncertainty hold you back. RVezy (not the individual host) sets the cancellation policy across the platform, with refund windows tied to how far in advance you cancel before your trip start. Because the cancellation policy isn't displayed inside each listing, the easiest move is to review the current policy on RVezy's Help Center before you book. If you're eyeing a Memorial Day weekend rental near Gettysburg, lock it in early; you'll know exactly where you stand on flexibility either way.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Dillsburg RV trip?
Absolutely, pets are part of the family and a pet-friendly RV rental Dillsburg trip is easy to set up. On RVezy, just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter to see hosts who welcome dogs (and sometimes cats) in their rigs around York County. Pennsylvania state parks like Pine Grove Furnace and Gifford Pinchot allow leashed pets at designated campsites, and King's Campground south of Dillsburg has open grass areas that are great for walking dogs. Pro tip: pack a tie-out, collapsible water bowl, and a copy of recent vaccination records. The Appalachian Trail crosses just minutes west of Dillsburg near Boiling Springs, so your pup can join a beautiful section hike too.
dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/PetsInParks/Pages/default.aspxCan the RV be delivered to my campsite near Dillsburg?
Yes, and RV delivery Dillsburg is honestly the easiest way to do a first-time RV trip. Many local hosts will tow the trailer or motorhome straight to King's Campground, Walmar Manor Campground, Gifford Pinchot State Park, or even your driveway in York or Harrisburg, then level it, hook up water and 30/50-amp power, and walk you through every system. King's Campground is a popular drop-off spot for RVezy deliveries, so you can arrive by car, unpack, and start your trip stress-free. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy when searching, and message the host to confirm mileage and setup fees, which are typically reasonable within a 30-mile radius.

Walmar Manor Campground sits a couple miles away with 63 sites including pull-thrus and full hookups that accommodate big rigs. Gifford Pinchot State Park (about 10 miles east) has around 290 sites near a 340-acre lake with a swim beach, and Pine Grove Furnace State Park (roughly 20 miles west) puts you right on the Appalachian Trail. dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/GiffordPinchotStatePark/Pages/default.aspxWhen is the best time to rent an RV in Dillsburg, PA?
Late April through October is prime RV season in Dillsburg, with the sweet spots being May (average highs around 70F), September (warm days, cool nights, fewer bugs), and early October when York County's hardwoods explode in red and gold. July is the warmest month with average highs near 86F and humidity, so pick a rig with strong air conditioning. Winter trips are possible but cold, with January averaging roughly 20 to 38F and occasional snow, which is why many local campgrounds operate seasonally. Pro tip: book the weekend after Labor Day for warm weather, open campgrounds, lower rates, and an easy day trip into Harrisburg.
forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=40.11&lon=-77.02I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?
You're going to do great, and first time renting an RV in Dillsburg is genuinely easier than people expect. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup or delivery, walking you through propane, slide-outs, the water system, leveling, and dumping, and most encourage you to text them anytime during your trip with questions. Dillsburg sits on gently rolling terrain with wide rural roads, so it's a forgiving area to get comfortable behind the wheel before tackling busier routes like the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Pro tip: choose a 24 to 28 foot travel trailer or Class C for your first trip; they're easy to park at King's Campground and still sleep a family of five comfortably.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002953374-RentersWhat happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?
Take a breath: you're covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so a flat tire on I-81, a dead battery at Gifford Pinchot State Park, or a tow off US-15 is handled with one phone call. Your host is also a direct resource and usually responds within minutes, since their RV is their personal vehicle and they want your trip to go well. RVezy's customer support team is reachable before, during, and after your trip too. Pro tip: snap a quick photo of the RV's tire sizes, generator type, and propane tank info at pickup; it speeds up any service call dramatically.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Dillsburg RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Cross-state travel is welcome and very popular, since Dillsburg sits within a few hours of Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Ohio, and Washington DC. Most RVezy hosts are happy for you to road-trip across the mid-Atlantic, from the Outer Banks to Acadia. Travel into Canada is sometimes allowed depending on the host and the protection plan, so message the host directly before booking if you're planning a Niagara Falls or Quebec extension. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because protection coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: confirm any cross-border plans in writing through the RVezy message thread.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow much should I budget for fuel on a Dillsburg RV trip?
Fuel is easier to budget than most renters expect. Travel trailers towed by an SUV or pickup typically get 10 to 14 mpg on the rolling terrain around Dillsburg, Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 mpg, and campervans can hit 16 to 20 mpg, ideal for a longer RV road trip from Dillsburg. Pennsylvania gas prices tend to run a bit above the national average, so plan accordingly and fill up south of the border in Maryland when you can; it's often cheaper. Pro tip: the Sheetz on Route 15 in Dillsburg has easy RV access, making it a popular fuel-and-go stop for travelers heading to Gettysburg.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Dillsburg?
For peak summer weekends and fall foliage at Pennsylvania state parks, book as early as you can. Pennsylvania State Parks open reservations 11 months in advance through the official DCNR reservation system (or 888-PA-PARKS), and Gifford Pinchot and Pine Grove Furnace fill up months ahead for Memorial Day, July 4, and October weekends. Private campgrounds like King's Campground and Walmar Manor in Dillsburg are usually bookable 3 to 6 months ahead, and weekday sites often have availability even in summer. Pro tip: book your campsite first, then your RVezy rental, that way you can match the rig size to the site's length and hookup amps (30 vs 50).
dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/Reservations/Pages/default.aspxWhat are the local driving conditions like around Dillsburg?
Dillsburg is one of the friendlier launching pads for RV driving in the Northeast. The town sits in the Cumberland Valley with gently rolling hills, and the main routes (US-15, PA-74, and I-83 just east) are wide, well-maintained, and used to truck traffic. Watch for steeper grades if you head west toward Michaux State Forest or north over Blue Mountain, and expect summer thunderstorms that can roll in fast, so park early on stormy afternoons. Winter brings occasional snow and ice, particularly January and February. Pro tip: avoid downtown Harrisburg's older bridges with tall rigs and stick to the I-83 / I-81 / Turnpike triangle, where clearances are generous and rest areas are RV-friendly.
penndot.pa.gov/TravelInPA/Pages/default.aspxWhat hookups and amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Dillsburg?
You'll find a great mix. King's Campground offers water and electric (30 and 50-amp) sites with a heated bathhouse, a pool, a dump station, and fire rings, and Walmar Manor adds 63 sites including pull-thrus and 33 full-hookup sites that fit big rigs. Gifford Pinchot State Park has electric hookups at many sites plus modern restrooms, potable water spigots, and a sanitary dump station near the campground exit, all reservable through Pennsylvania's official DCNR system. Most local private parks also sell firewood on-site and have laundry. Pro tip: ask the campground in advance about the dump station and fresh-water fill location so you arrive ready; both King's and Gifford Pinchot make it easy to top off and empty without unhitching.
dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/GiffordPinchotStatePark/Pages/default.aspxWhat's inside a typical RV rental in Dillsburg?
More creature comforts than you might expect. A typical motorhome rental Dillsburg or travel trailer on RVezy comes with a queen or king bed, bunks or convertible dinette for kids, a full kitchen (fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, air conditioning, furnace, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many rigs add a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor speakers, awnings with LED lights, and onboard generators or solar for off-grid stays. Linens, kitchenware, and outdoor chairs are often available as add-ons. Pro tip: scroll a listing's amenities list and message the host with a quick checklist (coffee maker? Starlink? bike rack?). Local hosts are responsive and often throw in extras for a smooth Dillsburg RV trip.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Dillsburg%2C%20PennsylvaniaWhat add-ons and pickup options should I know about?
RVezy makes it easy to customize. Popular add-ons from Dillsburg-area hosts include delivery and setup (often within 30 miles for a flat fee), generator use, propane refill, bike racks, outdoor grills, kitchen and linen kits, and pet cleaning fees that keep dog-friendly bookings simple. Mileage policies vary by host, with some offering RV rental with unlimited mileage and others including a daily allowance plus a per-mile rate beyond it, perfect to discuss upfront if you're driving to Niagara Falls or DC. Pickup is usually at the host's home or your campsite. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a propane top-off into one quote; it's almost always cheaper than ordering each separately.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Dillsburg%2C%20PennsylvaniaHow does payment and the security deposit work?
Payment is simple and fully handled inside RVezy, so there's no awkward cash exchange with your host. You'll pay the rental total, taxes, and any add-ons securely by credit or debit card at booking, and a refundable security deposit is placed on hold (not charged) close to your trip start, then released after the RV is returned in the same condition. Deposit amounts vary by rig size and value, and you'll see the exact figure on the listing before you book. Pro tip: do a quick video walk-around at pickup and again at drop-off; it's the single best way to avoid any deposit dispute and almost always speeds the release back to your card.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksCan I rent an RV in Dillsburg during winter?
Yes, winter rentals are absolutely possible and can be a quieter way to see central Pennsylvania. Many RVezy hosts in the Dillsburg area offer four-season rigs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, propane furnaces, and shore-power capability for plug-in heat at campgrounds that stay open year-round, including Walmar Manor Campground. Expect January temperatures from roughly 20 to 38F and occasional snow, so plan to stay at a site with full hookups so your water lines stay flowing. Pro tip: use the Delivery filter to find a host who'll drop the RV at a private property near Roundtop Mountain Resort for skiing and snow tubing just minutes from Dillsburg, an unforgettable winter campervan rental Dillsburg experience.
