Our experience with Eugene’s RV was awesome!!! On another platform we had our original RV host cancel last minute which left us without an RV just days before our Labor Day plans. Booking on the RVezy platform was a cinch and Eugene was super responsive and confirmed us with very short notice! Eugene’s drop-off and hook up was perfect!!! Great floor plan, space, and amenities for our family of 5 for the long weekend. All linens and blankets were provided, pillows were decent, too (not super flat like some camping/travel pillows and not too firm like some hotels can be). Plenty of A/C outlets and USB chargers for recharging phones and nighttime use of the CPAP. Bathroom was fully stocked; including towels for shower. Water pressure was great in the shower and all toilet and sewage worked like a charm. The dining table easily fit four and the extra couch was great for everyone to spread out and sit. Setting the thermostat and vents took a little getting used to but all AC/heat, fans, etc. worked perfectly!! We enjoyed a cooler night’s sleep and would get the heat on in the mornings and within 5 minutes or so we were good to go for morning routines. Gas stovetop was very efficient and the kitchen area, too, was well stocked for cleaning and even included some seasonings! The RV as a whole was well maintained and clean and everything worked perfectly. We will definitely reach out to Eugene again for future RV rentals!

Host is accomadating & honest. This is my 2nd year renting from him. I have no complaints & I appreciate his service. We treat this camper as our own & leave it in the manner it was left to us. Mike dropped off, set up & tore down & retrieved at conclusion of our trip. Mike & his Wife are good people. I look forward to next year!

We had such a great experience renting from PJ! My wife, son, and I had an amazing camping trip. PJ went above and beyond—he delivered, set up, and picked up the RV for us, which made everything so easy. The RV was super clean and stocked with everything we needed: cooking supplies, chairs to relax in, cleaning essentials, and plenty of food storage. The bedding was fantastic as well—we were extremely comfortable the whole time. You can tell PJ really cares about making sure his guests have a great time. Great communication as well. Highly recommend!

What are local driving conditions like around Shamokin?

Driving an RV around Shamokin is straightforward as long as you respect the terrain. The city sits in a valley between Big Mountain and Little Mountain, so expect winding two-lane sections on PA-61, PA-125, and PA-901 with steeper grades in spots. Roads are well-maintained, traffic is light outside of Knoebels' summer weekends, and there are no urban height-clearance worries here unlike Philadelphia or NYC. Winter brings snow and occasional black ice from December through February. Pro tip: stick to US-15 and Interstate 80 for the smoothest big-rig travel in and out of the area, and avoid downtown Shamokin's narrow side streets in anything longer than 28 feet.

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Shamokin?

Full-hookup sites with 30/50-amp electric, fresh water, and sewer are standard at Knoebels Campground, Lake Glory, and other private parks in the area, and most also offer hot-shower bathhouses, dump stations, laundry, Wi-Fi, and camp stores. Pennsylvania state parks like Worlds End and Ricketts Glen lean more modern-rustic with electric and water hookups but fewer sewer-equipped sites, plus shared dump stations near the campground entrance. Pro tip: top off your fresh water tank before leaving any campground, the next reliable fill station may be 20 miles away in the surrounding coal-region countryside.
