2025 Forest River Class C
Nick’s RV is new and spotless. He gave us detailed videos explaining how to use everything, which was helpful for RV newbies like ourselves. The interior was pretty and very well organized. He was also available for last minute advice. We had a great time staying in his RV and highly recommend it.

2023 Nexus RV Class C
Julia was great to rent from! We booked the RV for our extended family’s first RV trip and requested delivery to the campground. She had everything set up and ready for us when we arrived—we just had to bring our car, linens, and food. Julia was very responsive throughout the process and even gave us a helpful walkthrough on our first night. It made our first RV experience easy and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!

2024 Starcraft Travel Trailer
I rented this RV to sleep in and work in as my kids were at camp in Cresco Pennsylvania. Communication was great and the RV was perfect. The air conditioning worked as good as described and we went through a lot of rain with no leaks or issues. The camp staff had nothing but compliments when describing the drop off that occurred before I even got there. Highly recommended.

2023 Keystone Travel Trailer
I rented this RV to attend our annual family reunion, 3 adults stayed in the RV for 3 days. It was perfect for our needs. It was delivered and set up before we arrived. Good sized pantry, fridge, bed and a separate bunk room for the kids. We enjoyed the Bluetooth radio/speaker system, camp chairs and moonpie maker for the campfire. Joel was very friendly, communications was great! I would happily rent from Joel again

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Taylor, PA
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Taylor, PA?
RV rental in Taylor, PA is more affordable than most travelers expect, with towable trailers averaging around $125 per night and motorhomes averaging closer to $215 per night. Many RVezy hosts in the Taylor and Scranton area offer weekly and monthly discounts, which makes a longer Pocono Mountains adventure a real bargain. For cheap RV rental in Taylor, look at travel trailers and pop-ups, book midweek, and travel in May or September when demand around Lackawanna State Park drops. Pro tip: filter for Instant Book listings and use the price slider on RVezy to see weekly totals at a glance before you commit.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Taylor,PennsylvaniaDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Taylor, PA?
Good news: for almost every RV rental in Taylor, PA, your regular Class C Pennsylvania driver's license (or the equivalent from your home state) is all you need. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) only requires a Non-Commercial Class B license for single vehicles over 26,000 pounds GVWR, and the vast majority of campervans, Class C motorhomes, and travel trailers on RVezy fall well under that limit. RVezy approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and your ID is verified inside the platform. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit alongside your home license and you are ready to roll out toward the Poconos.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection comes with my Taylor, PA RV rental?
Every RVezy booking in Taylor includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can head out on I-81 toward the Poconos with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers most physical damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose your level of coverage at checkout (hosts do not pick this, you do). It is not traditional auto insurance, but it removes the financial worry that often holds first-time renters back. Pro tip: review the coverage tiers on the booking page and pick the one that matches your comfort level, especially if you are tackling the winding roads near Lackawanna State Park.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my RV rental in Taylor, PA?
Booking is low-risk because RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not the host), so terms are consistent and transparent across every listing. Refunds are based on how far in advance you cancel relative to your trip start, and the full policy is shown at checkout and inside your RVezy account so there are no surprises. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy helps you secure a refund or rebooking credit. Pro tip: book early to lock in your Taylor dates, knowing the built-in policy gives you a clear path if your plans shift.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on an RV rental from Taylor, PA?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Taylor is easy to find on RVezy: just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you will see plenty of listings whose hosts welcome four-legged co-pilots. Once you are out, you have great options nearby. Lackawanna State Park allows leashed pets in designated pet-friendly campsites, and Lackawanna County has many dog-friendly trails throughout northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA). Some hosts charge a small pet cleaning fee, which is clearly shown on the listing. Pro tip: message the host before booking to mention your dog's size and breed so check-in is smooth and your pup feels at home from day one.
pa.gov/agencies/dcnr/recreation/where-to-go/state-parks/find-a-park/lackawanna-state-parkCan the RV be delivered to me in Taylor, PA?
Yes, RV delivery in Taylor is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it is a game-changer if it is your first time renting an RV. Many hosts will drive the motorhome or travel trailer right to your campsite at Lackawanna State Park, Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort, or even a private driveway, then set it up, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system. You skip the stress of towing or maneuvering a big rig through Scranton traffic. Pro tip: use the Delivery filter on RVezy and ask the host about their per-mile delivery fee from Taylor, which is usually very reasonable for nearby campgrounds.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Taylor,PennsylvaniaHow far can I drive from Taylor, PA in an RV?
Taylor sits in a sweet spot for an RV road trip from Taylor, PA, with major destinations all within a half-day drive. New York City is about 130 miles southeast (around 2.5 hours), Philadelphia is roughly 125 miles south, the Finger Lakes are about 150 miles north, Niagara Falls is around 300 miles northwest, and the Catskills are just 90 miles east. Most RVezy hosts in Taylor offer 100 to 150 free miles per day with reasonable per-mile fees beyond that, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage for longer trips. Pro tip: estimate your total mileage upfront and ask the host about a mileage add-on package, which is almost always cheaper than paying per mile at the end.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Taylor,PennsylvaniaWhere are the best campgrounds near Taylor, PA?
The best campgrounds near Taylor are clustered through Lackawanna County and the Poconos, all within an hour of pickup. Lackawanna State Park Campground (about 10 miles north, near Dalton) offers wooded electric sites around a 198-acre lake and is the local favorite. Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort in Waymart adds waterfront sites and full hookups. Moyer's Grove Campground and Pioneer Campground are also popular in the broader NEPA area, and Scranton/Pocono KOA Holiday in Bartonsville is great for families. Pro tip: reserve Lackawanna State Park up to 11 months ahead through the Pennsylvania DCNR reservation system, especially for summer weekends.
pa.gov/agencies/dcnr/recreation/where-to-go/state-parks/find-a-park/lackawanna-state-parkWhen is the best time for RV camping in Taylor, PA?
The sweet spot for RV camping in Taylor runs from late May through mid-October, with June through August being peak season when daytime highs sit comfortably in the upper 70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit. September and early October are the local insider's pick: Pocono and Endless Mountains foliage lights up in reds and golds, campgrounds quiet down, and nights are crisp but rarely freezing. Spring (April to May) is great for waterfalls and fewer bugs, and Lackawanna State Park's campground is typically open from mid-April through mid-December. Pro tip: book a fall foliage week in early October for the most photogenic Taylor, PA RV trip of the year.
weather.gov/bgm/I have never driven an RV before. Will I be okay renting in Taylor?
Yes, and most first-time renters in Taylor are surprised how quickly they relax behind the wheel. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, water, propane, and the awning, and you can message them anytime during your trip with questions. For your first RV trip, choose a smaller Class C motorhome or campervan (Class B) to start, which handles much like a large van on I-81 and US-11. Avoid downtown Scranton's tighter streets and head straight for open routes toward Lackawanna State Park or the Poconos. Pro tip: pick a host who offers delivery so your first time renting an RV starts with the rig already parked and set up.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002180693-Renting-an-RVWhat happens if I have a problem on the road in northeast Pennsylvania?
You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking in Taylor includes 24/7 roadside assistance with the protection plan, so a flat tire on I-380, a dead battery at Keen Lake, or a generator hiccup in the Poconos is a single phone call away from getting sorted. Your host is reachable directly through the RVezy app for quick questions about quirks of their specific RV, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number to your phone before you leave Taylor and screenshot it for offline access, so you can drive into the Endless Mountains knowing help is always one tap away.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Taylor, PA RV rental into other states or Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is welcome on most RVezy rentals from Taylor, and the location is perfect for it: you can be in New York in under an hour, New Jersey in about 90 minutes, or near the Canadian border in roughly 5 to 6 hours via I-81 North. Cross-border travel into Canada depends on the host and protection plan, so confirm with your host through the RVezy message system before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: popular RV road trips from Taylor include the Finger Lakes, Niagara Falls, the Adirondacks, and Acadia National Park.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat kind of fuel mileage and budget should I plan for in Taylor?
Plan realistically and your Taylor, PA RV trip stays well within budget. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 mpg, and Class A motorhomes typically run 6 to 10 mpg. Gas prices in Lackawanna County tend to track close to the Pennsylvania state average, and the cheapest fuel is usually found at the truck-friendly stations along I-81 near Taylor and Pittston. A typical weekend loop to Lackawanna State Park and back burns under 10 gallons in a Class C. Pro tip: use a fuel-price app before you leave and fill up in Pennsylvania rather than New York, where fuel taxes are higher.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Taylor?
For summer weekends, book Pennsylvania state parks as early as possible. Lackawanna State Park accepts campsite reservations up to 11 months in advance through the Pennsylvania DCNR reservation system, and prime sites for July and August often go quickly. Private parks like Keen Lake Resort and Scranton/Pocono KOA typically open bookings well ahead of their May through October season. Weekday and shoulder-season trips are far more forgiving and can often be grabbed two to four weeks ahead. Pro tip: pair your campground booking with your RVezy reservation on the same day to lock both in before peak demand hits.
pa.gov/agencies/dcnr/recreation/where-to-go/state-parks/find-a-park/lackawanna-state-parkWhat are driving conditions like around Taylor, PA?
Driving an RV around Taylor is very manageable once you know the local quirks. I-81 runs right past town and is the main artery to Scranton, the Poconos, and the New York border, with wide lanes that are RV-friendly. The terrain is rolling Appalachian foothills, so expect some long uphill grades on I-380 toward the Poconos and gear down on descents. Winter (December to March) brings real snow and occasional ice, so most renters stick to April through October. Avoid the narrow streets of downtown Scranton with larger Class A motorhomes. Pro tip: use Pennsylvania 511 (511PA) before you leave to check live conditions on I-81 and I-84.
511pa.com/What amenities do campgrounds near Taylor offer, and where can I dump and fill water?
Campgrounds near Taylor offer a strong mix of amenities to make RV camping in Taylor easy. Lackawanna State Park provides electric hookups (no sewer at site), a sanitary dump station, modern shower houses, flush toilets, and potable water fill stations. Private parks like Keen Lake Resort offer full hookups (water, electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, swimming pools, and laundry. Most campgrounds in northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA) operate from mid-April through mid-October. Pro tip: top off freshwater and dump tanks before leaving any campground; free dump stations are limited in the Taylor area, so plan stops along your route in advance.
pa.gov/agencies/dcnr/recreation/where-to-go/state-parks/find-a-park/lackawanna-state-parkWhat is included inside a typical RV rental in Taylor, PA?
Most motorhome rentals in Taylor come fully equipped so you can roll in and start camping. Expect comfortable beds (queens and bunks are common), a functional kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, and basic cookware, a bathroom with shower and toilet, dinette seating with seatbelts for travel, air conditioning, and propane heat for those cool Pocono nights. Many listings also include a TV, Wi-Fi hotspot or generator, outdoor chairs, and a leveling kit. Towable trailers offer similar interiors without the cab. Pro tip: review the listing's amenities and photos on RVezy carefully, and message the host if you need extras like a bike rack, generator, or kids' bedding. Hosts in Taylor are usually happy to accommodate.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Taylor,PennsylvaniaWhat add-ons and pickup options should I expect when I rent an RV in Taylor?
When you rent an RV in Taylor, hosts typically offer a menu of useful add-ons that make life easier: linen and towel packages, kitchen kits, generators, bike racks, camp chairs, propane fills, and dump-and-clean services. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Taylor or a nearby town like Moosic, Old Forge, or Scranton, with most hosts offering a 2 to 4 hour window. Mileage policies typically run 100 to 150 miles per day included, with overage fees clearly listed; some RVezy hosts even offer unlimited mileage. Pro tip: bundle add-ons during booking rather than at pickup; the price is usually better and your check-in walkthrough goes faster.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Taylor,PennsylvaniaHow do payment and the security deposit work for RV rental Pennsylvania trips?
Payment is simple and secure: RVezy charges your credit or debit card directly through the platform, so no cash changes hands with the host. For RV rental Pennsylvania bookings, a refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment around pickup and released after the trip once the RV is returned in the agreed condition. Taxes, fees, and your protection plan are all itemized at checkout, so the total you see is the total you pay. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos of the RV inside and out at pickup and return, which makes deposit releases fast and friction-free.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksCan I rent an RV in Taylor, PA in winter?
Yes, winter RV rental in Taylor is possible and can be a beautiful adventure, with snow-dusted Pocono forests and cozy heated nights inside the rig. Many RVezy hosts in Lackawanna County keep motorhomes with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and propane furnaces available year-round. Just remember most public campgrounds close for the winter season, so plan to use winter-open private parks or a private driveway with shore power. January lows in Taylor average around 20 degrees Fahrenheit, so cold-weather prep matters. Pro tip: filter for four-season RVs on RVezy and ask the host to confirm the rig has a heated water hose and tank pads before you book a winter trip.
