Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Aventura, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Aventura, FL?

An RV rental in Aventura is one of the most flexible ways to explore South Florida on a budget. Nightly rates on RVezy typically start around $95 to $130 for travel trailers and average about $175 to $275 for Class C motorhomes, with luxury Class A rigs running higher during winter snowbird season. To find a cheap RV rental in Aventura, travel in the shoulder months of late April, May, or September when demand dips between snowbird season and summer holidays. Pro tip: booking mid-week and choosing a towable trailer with host delivery often saves you the most money since you skip the fuel cost of driving a big motorhome through Miami traffic.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Aventura, FL?

Great news for first-time renters: a regular Class E Florida driver's license (or your home state or country equivalent) is all you need to rent an RV in Aventura. Florida does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement for personal recreational vehicles, even larger Class A motorhomes. All RVezy guests must be 25 or older, and your ID is verified securely through the platform during checkout. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country's auto association before flying in, usually for under $25. That is genuinely the whole list, no RV school, no test, no surprises.

Is my RV rental in Aventura, FL protected if something goes wrong?

Yes, every RVezy booking in Aventura includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can drive off feeling confident. You choose your protection level at checkout (not the host), letting you balance peace of mind with budget, and the plan covers eligible physical damage to the RV during your trip. That extra layer of confidence is especially helpful when navigating tight South Florida parking lots or causeway bridges. Combined with included roadside support for tire changes, lockouts, and tows, your Aventura RV trip is set up for stress-free exploring.

What if I need to cancel my Aventura RV rental?

Booking is low-risk because RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), giving every guest a consistent, transparent framework. That means you can lock in your favorite Aventura motorhome rental and review the exact terms that apply to your reservation in the RVezy Help Center. If a hurricane warning or other qualifying event affects your trip dates, RVezy has provisions to help you rebook or get refunded, which matters in South Florida where Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. If your host cancels, RVezy issues a refund or travel credit, and the support team is available before, during, and after your trip.

Can I bring my dog on an RV rental in Aventura, FL?

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Aventura is one of the most-requested filters on RVezy, and plenty of local hosts welcome your dog or cat. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when browsing, and the platform will show only RVs where pets are welcome (any pet fees or deposits are shown upfront on the listing). Once you are on the road, Haulover Park's dog beach just south of Aventura on A1A is a local favorite where dogs can swim, and Greynolds Park in nearby North Miami Beach has shaded trails perfect for a leashed walk. Don't forget a collapsible water bowl, South Florida humidity is real.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Aventura?

Yes, RV delivery in Aventura is one of the smartest ways to start your trip, especially if you are flying into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) or Miami International Airport (MIA). Many RVezy hosts will drive the RV to your hotel, vacation rental, marina, or campground, level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. Just filter by Delivery when searching to see hosts who offer it, with delivery fees typically based on distance. This is a game-changer for first-time renters because you skip Miami traffic entirely and your South Florida vacation starts the moment the host pulls away.

How far can I drive on an Aventura RV rental, and do hosts offer unlimited mileage?

You have plenty of room to roam. Many Aventura RVezy hosts offer unlimited mileage or generous daily allowances (typically 100 to 150 miles per day), with any per-mile overage shown clearly on the listing before you book. From Aventura you can reach Key Largo in about 60 miles, Everglades National Park's Flamingo entrance in roughly 100 miles, Naples on the Gulf Coast in about 125 miles, Orlando theme parks in 230 miles, and Key West at the end of the Overseas Highway in around 165 miles. If you are planning a longer Florida loop, message the host directly from the listing page to confirm an unlimited mileage option for your dates.

Where should I stay in my RV near Aventura, FL?

You have several solid options within easy reach of Aventura. Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Campground in south Miami-Dade offers full-hookup sites among hundreds of acres of pine rockland with a swimming lagoon nearby. Miami Everglades RV Resort near Homestead is a popular launchpad for Everglades and Biscayne National Parks. Yukon Trails RV Park and Hollywood area campgrounds north on I-95 are also convenient, and Markham Park in Sunrise (not Sunbest) has wooded lakeside sites with full hookups. Note that overnight RV parking is not permitted on Aventura city streets or shopping center lots like Aventura Mall, so always reserve a campground spot ahead of arrival.

When is the best time of year for an Aventura RV trip?

The sweet spot for RV camping in Aventura is mid-November through April, when daytime highs sit comfortably between 72 text and 82 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity drops, and rainfall is minimal. This is also South Florida's snowbird season, so book your RV rental in Aventura early, popular rigs go fast for December holidays, Art Basel Miami Beach in early December, and spring break in March. May through October brings hot, humid days in the high 80s with frequent afternoon thunderstorms during the official Atlantic hurricane season. Shoulder months like late April and early November are the smart-money pick: warm beach weather, lower nightly rates, and easier campground reservations across the region.

I have never driven an RV before, will I be okay in Aventura?

You will be just fine, first time renting an RV is more common than you think, and RVezy is built around making it easy. Your host provides a full walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, hookups, slide-outs, and the holding tanks, and you can text them throughout your trip with questions. In Aventura specifically, plan to do most of your driving outside of rush hour (avoid I-95 and the Golden Glades Interchange between 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.) and use Biscayne Boulevard or the Florida Turnpike for calmer cruising. Better yet, choose host delivery so the rig is already parked, leveled, and ready to enjoy when you arrive.

What happens if I break down during my Aventura RV trip?

You're covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance, so help is one phone call away whether you are stuck on the Rickenbacker Causeway, the Overseas Highway to the Keys, or a campground loop in the Everglades. Roadside services include towing, tire changes, jump-starts, lockout help, and fuel delivery. Your host is also just a message away for quick troubleshooting like a tripped breaker or a finicky slide-out, and the RVezy support team is available before, during, and after your trip. Save the roadside number in your phone before you leave Aventura, then drive off knowing the safety net is in place.
rvezy.com/insurance-and-protection

Can I take my Aventura RV rental on a road trip out of state or into Canada?

Yes, interstate RV road trips from Aventura are popular and welcomed by most RVezy hosts. Favorite routes include the Overseas Highway south to Key West (about 3.5 hours), the Atlantic coast up through Daytona and Savannah, the Gulf Coast loop through Naples and Sarasota, and an Appalachian run up to the Great Smoky Mountains. Travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the specific host and protection package, so message them directly through the listing before booking to confirm. One important note: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because protection coverage does not extend across the southern border. Always confirm your route with your host so everyone is aligned.

What kind of fuel economy and gas budget should I plan for in Aventura?

Budgeting fuel is easier than you'd think. Class C motorhomes around Aventura typically get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class B campervans average 16 to 20 MPG, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle, usually 10 to 14 MPG combined. Florida gas prices in recent months have generally averaged in the low $3 range per gallon for regular and higher for diesel, with cheaper stations along the Florida Turnpike and at Costco in nearby North Miami Beach. For a 500-mile round trip to the Keys in a Class C, plan roughly $150 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up before crossing into the Keys where prices jump noticeably.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Aventura?

Book early and you'll have your pick. For winter visits (December through March), reserve campgrounds 4 to 6 months ahead, snowbird demand fills up Miami-Dade and Broward County parks fast. Florida state parks like John Pennekamp Coral Reef in Key Largo and Bahia Honda open reservations 11 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservation system, and those waterfront sites disappear within minutes of release at 8 a.m. Eastern. Everglades National Park's Long Pine Key and Flamingo campgrounds book through Recreation.gov 6 months out. For summer or shoulder season, 2 to 4 weeks ahead is usually plenty. Set a calendar reminder for the 11-month-out date if you want a Keys sunset site.

What are the driving conditions like around Aventura?

Aventura sits right on the dense urban corridor between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, so a little planning makes a big difference. Stick to Biscayne Boulevard (US-1), the Florida Turnpike, or I-95 during off-peak hours, and avoid the Golden Glades Interchange at rush hour, it's one of the busiest in the state. The William Lehman Causeway (SR 856) into Sunny Isles Beach has bridge sections to watch for tall Class A rigs, so check your RV's overall height before crossing. Summer afternoons bring quick, heavy thunderstorms, so plan driving for mornings. If city driving feels intimidating, choose host delivery and skip it entirely, that's a popular move for visitors renting their first motorhome.

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Aventura?

South Florida campgrounds are well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Most RV parks near Aventura offer full hookups (30 and 50 amp electric, fresh water, and sewer at the site), Wi-Fi, swimming pools, laundry, and dump stations, with Miami Everglades RV Resort being a good example. State parks like John Pennekamp typically provide water and electric plus a central dump station and bathhouses. For filling fresh water or dumping tanks mid-trip, look for Flying J or Pilot travel centers along the Florida Turnpike, or use the dump station at Markham Park in Sunrise. Many campgrounds also have boat ramps and direct beach or canal access, a bonus that's hard to find elsewhere.

What's included inside an RV rental in Aventura?

You'll feel right at home. Most RV rentals in Aventura come fully equipped with sleeping quarters (queen or king beds plus convertible dinettes and bunks), a kitchen with fridge/freezer, stovetop, microwave, sink, cookware and dishes, a bathroom with toilet and shower, air conditioning (essential for South Florida summer), heater, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many also include a TV, generator or solar setup, outdoor awning, and patio chairs. Wi-Fi varies, so confirm with your host or bring a mobile hotspot. Each RVezy listing spells out exactly what's included, plus optional add-ons like linens, kitchen kits, paddleboards, or beach chairs, perfect for an Aventura beach-and-Everglades combo trip.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Aventura%2C%20Florida

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Hosts offer a great mix of add-ons to make your trip easier. Common options include linens and towels, kitchen starter kits, portable BBQs, generators, bike racks, beach gear, fishing rods, paddleboards, and even pre-stocked groceries. Pickup is usually at the host's home in or near Aventura, but RV delivery in Aventura is widely available and a favorite choice for travelers flying into FLL or MIA. Mileage policies and any one-way trip options vary by listing and are shown clearly before you book, so you'll never be surprised at checkout. If you're eyeing a one-way drop-off in Orlando or Tampa, just message the host first to confirm logistics and any relocation fee.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Aventura%2C%20Florida

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book an RV rental in Aventura on RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host, which keeps everything protected. A refundable security deposit is held before your trip (the amount is shown on the listing) and released back to you after the RV is returned in the agreed condition. The protection plan fee you select at checkout is separate from the deposit. To avoid any deposit issues, do a quick video walkaround with your host at both pickup and drop-off, return the rig with a full fuel tank and empty holding tanks (unless your host says otherwise), and you'll be set for a smooth Aventura RV trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How do I handle South Florida's heat and hurricane season in an RV?

With a little prep, summer in Aventura is totally doable. RV air conditioning is essential, so confirm your rental has a working roof AC (most do) and plan campground stays with 30/50-amp shore power to keep it running. Drive in the early morning to avoid afternoon thunderstorms, which roll in like clockwork between 2 and 5 p.m. June through September. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, and the National Hurricane Center provides 5-day forecasts, so monitor nhc.noaa.gov before and during your trip. If a named storm threatens your dates, contact RVezy support to review your options. Insider tip: shoulder months like late November and April give you summer warmth without the peak storm risk.
