Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Davie, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Davie, FL?

Renting an RV in Davie is an affordable way to explore South Florida, especially when you split costs with family or friends. On RVezy, towable travel trailers near Davie typically run around $100 to $150 per night, while motorhomes average about $175 to $250 per night, and many hosts offer 10 to 20 percent discounts on weekly and monthly bookings. To score a cheap RV rental in Davie, aim for the shoulder months of late April through early November when snowbird demand drops and prices soften. Pro tip: filter by Delivery so the host drops the RV at your campsite, saving you fuel and stress on Interstate 595 (I-595). Book early for Winterfest and spring break, when Broward County rentals fill fast.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Davie, Florida?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Davie, Florida. The state of Florida does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for personal motorhomes or travel trailers, even larger Class A coaches. You'll just need to be 25 or older and upload your license through RVezy's secure verification process, which takes only a few minutes. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your home-country license and you're ready to roll. Most first-time renters are surprised how simple the process is, so you can spend less time on paperwork and more time planning your Davie RV trip.

Is my RV rental protected if something goes wrong in Davie?

Yes, every RV rental in Davie booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the road with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers accidental damage to the vehicle during your trip, and you choose the level of coverage that fits you best during checkout. It provides meaningful financial protection so you're not on the hook for unexpected bumps, fender benders, or covered mechanical issues. If you have a flat on Interstate 95 (I-95) or need a tow near the Sawgrass Expressway, one phone call gets help dispatched. That kind of safety net is exactly why first-time renters love booking through RVezy.

What if I need to cancel my Davie RV rental?

Booking is low-risk because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy for every reservation. Your refund eligibility depends on how far out your trip is and whether unusual circumstances like a named hurricane or evacuation order affect South Florida. Since Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30, this flexibility matters in Davie. The cancellation policy is handled platform-wide by RVezy rather than displayed on individual listings. Pro tip: book your Davie RV trip with confidence, then reach out to RVezy support if your plans shift; they'll walk you through your options.

Can I bring my dog on a Davie RV rental?

Absolutely, and Davie is one of the most pet-friendly corners of Broward County for an RV adventure. Many RVezy hosts welcome dogs and cats, so just turn on the Pet-Friendly filter when searching for your pet-friendly RV rental in Davie to see qualifying listings instantly. Davie itself has a strong equestrian and animal-loving culture, with leash-friendly trails at Vista View Park, Tree Tops Park, and Pine Island Ridge Natural Area, all within a short drive of downtown. Markham Park in nearby Sunrise also welcomes leashed pets on its trails. Message the host before booking to confirm pet fees (typically $25 to $75 per trip) and you're set.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite or home in Davie?

Yes, RV delivery in Davie is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it's a game-changer if it's your first time renting an RV. Many local hosts will tow or drive the RV directly to your chosen campground, vacation rental driveway, or private property in nearby Plantation, Cooper City, or Weston, then handle setup including leveling, slide-outs, and hookups. Common drop-off spots include Markham Park in Sunrise, C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, and Topeekeegee Yugnee (T.Y.) Park in Hollywood. Just toggle the Delivery filter when searching, message the host with your address, and confirm the fee (usually based on mileage). You arrive, they hand you the keys, vacation starts.

How far can I drive on an RV rental from Davie?

You've got serious range from Davie, with the Florida Keys, Everglades, and Gulf Coast all within an easy day's drive. Each RVezy host sets their own mileage policy: some offer generous daily allowances of 100 to 150 miles, while others provide RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is ideal for longer road trips. Popular routes from Davie include Key Largo (about 65 miles south on US-1), Naples via Alligator Alley (around 110 miles west on I-75), Key West (about 165 miles), and the Orlando theme parks (roughly 215 miles north via Florida's Turnpike). Check the mileage section of each listing and message the host directly to confirm; many will customize the allowance for road-trippers if you ask upfront.

Where are the best campgrounds near Davie, FL?

Davie sits in a sweet spot for RV camping, with full-hookup parks just minutes from downtown. Markham Park in nearby Sunrise offers wooded sites, a target range, and mountain bike trails, while C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines features a lake and water park onsite. Topeekeegee Yugnee (T.Y.) Park in Hollywood is another popular Broward County option with full hookups and a swimming lagoon. For a waterfront stay, Yacht Haven Park & Marina in Fort Lauderdale gives you sites about 15 minutes east. Pro tip: book Broward County park sites at least 60 days ahead from December through March, when snowbirds claim the best campgrounds near Davie.
broward.org/Parks/Pages/default.aspx

When is the best time of year for an RV trip in Davie, FL?

November through April is the best time for an RV trip in Davie, with daytime highs typically in the comfortable 73 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit range and minimal rainfall. This dry season delivers lower humidity, sunny skies, and ideal beach and Everglades weather, which is why it's also Davie's busiest season for rentals. Summer (June through September) brings hot, humid afternoons often near 90 degrees, frequent thunderstorms, and Atlantic hurricane season, though you'll find lower rates and lush green landscapes. Local insider tip: late October and early May are smart-money sweet spots, warm, drier, and significantly cheaper than peak winter. Book your campervan rental in Davie a couple of months ahead for those shoulder weeks.

I'm new to RVing. Will I actually know how to use the RV?

Yes, and that's one of the best things about renting through RVezy: every host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through the generator, slide-outs, water systems, propane, and how to dump tanks. First time renting an RV in Davie is genuinely easier than people expect, because the area is flat, the roads are wide, and most rentals are automatic. You can also message your host before booking with any questions, and RVezy support is available if something stumps you mid-trip. Pro tip: ask your host to demonstrate the leveling jacks and stabilizers at pickup, since some Broward County sites have a slight slope.

What happens if I break down during my Davie RV trip?

You're covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so help is one call away whether you're stuck in traffic on Interstate 95 (I-95), parked on Alligator Alley, or hooked up at a campsite in the Keys. Roadside services typically include towing, tire changes, jump-starts, lockout help, and fuel delivery. Your host is also reachable through the RVezy messaging app for vehicle-specific questions. South Florida has a dense network of repair shops and RV service centers across Broward County, so most issues get resolved quickly. Pro tip: take photos of the RV at pickup and save your host's number and the RVezy support line in your phone before you pull out of Davie; you'll likely never need them, but it's smart insurance.

Can I take my Davie RV rental to other states or across the border?

Yes, you've got plenty of road-trip freedom from Davie. Most RVezy hosts allow interstate travel throughout the continental United States, so you can plan an RV road trip from Davie up the Atlantic coast to Savannah, west to New Orleans, or north via Florida's Turnpike to Orlando and beyond. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage do not apply south of the border. Travel into Canada may be allowed with specific host approval, so message the listing owner before booking if that's your plan. Pro tip: pair Davie with Key West (about 165 miles south on US-1) for one of the most iconic RV trips in America.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

What should I budget for fuel on a Davie RV trip?

Fuel is one of the easier costs to plan for in South Florida because gas stations are plentiful and Florida pump prices typically track near the national average. Expect 8 to 10 miles per gallon for a Class A motorhome, 10 to 14 for a Class C, 16 to 20 for a Class B campervan, and 10 to 16 for a truck towing a travel trailer (the truck's normal MPG drops about 30 percent when towing). At recent Florida prices, a 200-mile round trip from Davie to Key Largo and back in a Class C costs roughly $60 to $90 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up at the Pilot or RaceTrac stations just off Interstate 75 (I-75) before heading into the Keys, where prices climb noticeably.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Davie?

For the best Davie RV trip experience, book your campsite as soon as you book the RV, especially if you're traveling between December and April. Markham Park, C.B. Smith Park, and Yacht Haven Park & Marina all fill weeks or even months in advance during snowbird season. Broward County parks use the county reservation system and accept bookings up to 11 months ahead, while Florida State Parks (great for day trips to Hugh Taylor Birch or John Pennekamp) open reservations 11 months out through the Florida State Parks reservation portal. Pro tip: if winter is fully booked, try Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach or look just north toward Pompano Beach for last-minute openings.

What's it like driving an RV around Davie and South Florida?

Driving an RV around Davie is refreshingly easy because the terrain is flat, the major roads are wide, and there are no mountain passes or tunnels to worry about. The main routes (Interstate 595, Interstate 75 / Alligator Alley, and Florida's Turnpike) are RV-friendly with generous lanes. Watch the 13-foot 6-inch height clearance on some downtown Fort Lauderdale and Miami underpasses, and avoid the narrow streets of Las Olas and South Beach with anything bigger than a Class B campervan rental in Davie. Afternoon summer thunderstorms can bring brief but heavy rain, so plan driving for mornings June through September. Local insider tip: skip US-1 through Miami at rush hour and take the Turnpike south to the Keys, your stress level will thank you.

What hookups and amenities will I find at Davie-area campgrounds?

South Florida campgrounds are some of the best-equipped in the country, so you'll be comfortable at almost every site near Davie. Markham Park and C.B. Smith Park provide water and electric hookups with central dump stations onsite, and Topeekeegee Yugnee (T.Y.) Park offers full hookups including sewer at many sites. Most parks in Broward County have potable water fill-ups at the entrance and dump stations for registered guests. Yacht Haven Park & Marina in Fort Lauderdale offers full hookups with 50-amp service for larger rigs. Pro tip: if you're boondocking or staying somewhere without sewer, plan a dump stop at a Broward County park or commercial campground before heading back to your host.
broward.org/Parks/Pages/Camping.aspx

What features and amenities come with an RV rental in Davie?

Most RV rentals in Davie come fully equipped so you can move in and start vacationing. Expect a working kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a private bathroom with shower and toilet, real beds (queen, bunks, or convertible dinettes), air conditioning (a must in Florida), a roof-mounted or onboard generator on many units, and seatbelts for everyone traveling. Many motorhome rentals in Davie also include flat-screen TVs, outdoor awnings, and Bluetooth stereos, with some offering Wi-Fi hotspots, bikes, beach chairs, paddleboards, or kids' gear as add-ons. Use the RVezy filters (Sleeps count, RV type, Instant Book) to dial in the right rig for your group. Pro tip: confirm AC capacity with your host before summer trips, since Davie's August heat is no joke.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Davie,Florida

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about for a Davie RV rental?

Davie hosts offer a wide range of add-ons that make outfitting your trip easy. Popular extras include kitchen kits ($25 to $75), linens and bedding ($25 to $50), bikes, beach gear, generators, portable grills, and pet kits. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Davie, Plantation, Cooper City, or Weston, and many hosts offer paid delivery to local campgrounds or the Fort Lauderdale Airport area. Each host sets their own mileage policy, with daily allowances of 100 to 150 miles or unlimited mileage for select rentals. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a generator add-on for a true tow-free experience at a Broward County campground, then just enjoy your vacation.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Davie,Florida

How do payments and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure, all handled through RVezy, never directly to the host. You'll pay for your rental at booking using a credit or debit card, with the total broken out into nightly rate, taxes, RVezy service fee, your chosen protection plan, and any add-ons. Each host sets a refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) which is pre-authorized on your card before the trip and released after return, assuming no damage. To avoid issues: do a thorough walk-around video at pickup and dropoff, return the RV with the agreed fuel and propane levels, and dump the tanks if required. Pro tip: ask your host for a written checklist at the Davie pickup, it makes return day painless.

What are the best road trip destinations from Davie?

Davie's location makes it one of Florida's best launch pads for an RV road trip. Top picks include Key Largo (about 65 miles south, the gateway to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park), Everglades National Park's Shark Valley entrance (about 45 miles west on Tamiami Trail), Naples and the Gulf Coast beaches (about 110 miles via Alligator Alley / I-75), Bahia Honda State Park in the Middle Keys (about 130 miles south), and Key West (about 165 miles south on US-1, a memorable drive over a series of bridges). Families love combining Davie with a couple of nights near Disney World in Orlando (about 215 miles north). Pro tip: book Bahia Honda or Long Key State Park sites exactly 11 months out, they're among the most popular RV camping spots in Florida.
