Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Sunny Isles Beach?

RV rental in Sunny Isles Beach is more affordable than many travelers expect for a Miami-area beach destination. What license do I need to rent an RV in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida?

Good news: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Sunny Isles Beach. Florida does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal motorhomes, campervans, or travel trailers under 26,000 pounds, which covers virtually every RV on RVezy. Approved drivers on RVezy are generally 25 or older and complete a quick ID verification at booking. Visiting from abroad? Pair your home license with an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto club and you are set. Most first-timers are surprised by how simple it is to hit the road.

Is protection included with my Sunny Isles Beach RV rental?

Yes, every RVezy booking in Sunny Isles Beach automatically includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can cruise A1A and the MacArthur Causeway with peace of mind. The protection plan covers most physical damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose the coverage level at checkout (not the host), picking the option that matches your comfort and budget. While it is not traditional auto insurance, it provides meaningful financial protection if something unexpected happens. Combined with round-the-clock roadside support, renting an RV in Sunny Isles Beach feels low-stress, even for first-timers exploring South Florida.

What if I need to cancel my Sunny Isles Beach RV trip?

Booking is low-risk because RVezy sets a consistent cancellation policy for every reservation, not the host. That means if life shifts or a tropical storm forces a change of plans, you have clear options. Specific refund amounts depend on factors like how far out from your trip start date you cancel and whether unusual circumstances apply. The full details are on the RVezy Help Center, but the key takeaway is simple: you do not have to commit blindly to your Sunny Isles Beach RV trip. Lock in your dates with confidence and adjust if needed.

Can I bring my dog on a Sunny Isles Beach RV rental?

Yes, pet-friendly RV rental in Sunny Isles Beach is easy to find. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you will see listings from hosts who welcome furry co-pilots, sometimes with a small cleaning fee. Sunny Isles Beach itself does not allow dogs on the main beach, but Haulover Park Paws Dog Park just south on Collins Avenue has fenced off-leash areas, and Oleta River State Park about 10 minutes away allows leashed pets on its trails and picnic areas. Pet-friendly patios along Collins Avenue make exploring with your dog easy. Message the host before booking to confirm pet details and any size limits.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Sunny Isles Beach?

Yes, RV delivery in Sunny Isles Beach is one of the smartest ways to start your trip, especially if you are flying into Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL). Many RVezy hosts will deliver the RV straight to your campground, hotel, or even a private driveway, set it up, connect the hookups, and walk you through every system before they leave. Look for the Delivery filter when searching listings to see each host's delivery radius and fee. For first-time renters nervous about navigating Collins Avenue traffic in a larger motorhome, delivery is a game-changer.

Where are the best campgrounds near Sunny Isles Beach?

You have solid options for RV camping in Sunny Isles Beach within a short drive. Oleta River State Park in North Miami (about 10 minutes south) offers cabins and tent sites on Biscayne Bay with mangrove kayaking. Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park in South Miami-Dade has full-hookup RV sites and a freshwater lake. Miami Everglades Resort in Homestead offers full hookups, a pool, and easy access to Everglades National Park. Yacht Haven Park and Marina in Fort Lauderdale is a long-time favorite for big rigs. When is the best time of year to rent an RV in Sunny Isles Beach?

The sweet spot for a Sunny Isles Beach RV trip is November through April, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 72 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit range, humidity drops, and Atlantic hurricane season is over. This is also peak snowbird season, so campgrounds fill fast and rates climb. For the best value, target late April, May, or October, when you can still enjoy warm beach weather (mid-80s) with smaller crowds and lower nightly prices. June through September brings summer heat in the low 90s, daily afternoon thunderstorms, and Atlantic hurricane season (June 1 to November 30), so monitor forecasts and lean on your RV's air conditioning and roadside support.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving in the Miami area?

You can do this, and you will not be left to figure it out alone. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving, hookups, slide-outs, water, and waste systems before you leave the driveway. For your first time renting an RV in the Miami metro, two tips: choose a smaller Class C motorhome or campervan (under 25 feet) for easier maneuvering on Collins Avenue and the causeways, and avoid I-95 during rush hour (roughly 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.). Better yet, request delivery so the RV arrives at your campground ready to go. You can also message the host with any pre-trip questions.

What happens if I break down during my Sunny Isles Beach RV trip?

You are covered. Every motorhome rental in Sunny Isles Beach booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so help is one phone call away whether you are on the Rickenbacker Causeway, heading down US-1 to the Keys, or deep in Big Cypress. Roadside assistance handles flat tires, jump-starts, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing to a qualified repair facility. Your host is also a direct lifeline by message or phone for questions about their specific RV. Save both numbers in your phone before you pull away and you will have backup all the way from Sunny Isles Beach to Key West.

Can I take my RV rental from Sunny Isles Beach into other states or the Florida Keys?

Yes, most RVezy hosts in Sunny Isles Beach welcome multi-state road trips, which makes the East Coast wide open from your driveway. Popular RV road trip from Sunny Isles Beach routes include the Florida Keys to Key West (about 165 miles south on US-1), the Space Coast and Kennedy Space Center (about 200 miles north), Savannah and Charleston up I-95, and the Smoky Mountains via Atlanta. Confirm cross-state travel with your host before booking. Important: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because protection coverage does not extend there, so keep your adventures within the United States and Canada per your host's approval.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Sunny Isles Beach RV trip?

Fuel is one of the easier costs to plan for. Florida gas prices typically run close to the national average, often in the $3.00 to $3.50 per gallon range in the Miami area. Campervans average 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes 10 to 14 MPG, and larger Class A motorhomes 7 to 10 MPG. For a 330-mile round-trip RV road trip from Sunny Isles Beach down to Key West and back in a Class C, plan on roughly $80 to $115 in fuel. Tip: fill up in Florida City before heading into the Keys, as prices climb noticeably the farther south you go on US-1.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Sunny Isles Beach?

Book early to have your pick of sites. Florida State Parks like Oleta River open reservations 11 months out for Florida residents and 10 months out for non-residents through the Florida State Parks reservation system, and oceanfront and waterfront sites in Miami-Dade County go fast for the December to April window. For private parks like Miami Everglades Resort or Yacht Haven Park, aim for 3 to 6 months ahead during peak season and 4 to 8 weeks ahead for summer. Tip: set a calendar reminder for 8 a.m. Eastern Time on the date your booking window opens, since the most popular sites can be claimed within minutes.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservations-information

What are local driving conditions like around Sunny Isles Beach?

Driving around Sunny Isles Beach is flat, scenic, and very manageable, just plan around traffic. Collins Avenue (A1A) is the main north-south route and handles most beach traffic, while I-95 and the Florida Turnpike run parallel inland for faster travel. Watch for low-clearance situations: the William Lehman Causeway and most highway overpasses clear 13 feet 6 inches or more, which is fine for nearly every RVezy listing, but always know your rig's height. Summer afternoon thunderstorms can dump heavy rain in minutes, so build in cushion time. Avoid the MacArthur and Julia Tuttle Causeways into Miami Beach during rush hour and you will glide through your trip.

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Sunny Isles Beach?

South Florida campgrounds are well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Most full-service parks near Sunny Isles Beach, including Miami Everglades Resort, Yacht Haven Park, and Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park, offer 30 and 50 amp electric, fresh water, sewer hookups, dump stations, hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, and pools. Oleta River State Park has electric and water at RV sites plus a centralized dump station and bathhouse, with a nightly utility fee on top of the campsite rate. For dumping and freshwater fills between stops, many Florida Turnpike service plazas and KOA locations allow pay-per-use access. Filling fresh water before heading into the Keys or Everglades is a smart move.

What's included inside a typical RV rental in Sunny Isles Beach?

Most RVs on RVezy come move-in ready for your South Florida adventure. Expect a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink, cookware, dishes), a bathroom with toilet and shower, comfortable sleeping for 2 to 8 depending on the floor plan, air conditioning (essential in Miami), and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Many listings also include a TV, Wi-Fi hotspot, outdoor awning, camp chairs, and a generator for off-grid use. Bed linens, towels, and kitchen starter kits are sometimes included and sometimes offered as add-ons, so check the listing details. Message the host before booking if there is a specific item like a beach umbrella or paddleboard you want included.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sunny%20Isles%20Beach%2C%20Florida

What add-ons and pickup options are available for my RV rental?

You can customize your Sunny Isles Beach RV rental to fit exactly how you want to travel. Popular host add-ons include delivery and setup, generator use, bike racks, beach gear packages, kayaks or paddleboards (great for Oleta River's mangroves), linen and kitchen kits, and pet cleaning fees. Most hosts offer pickup at their home base, but many will deliver to Miami International Airport (MIA), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL), or directly to your campground. Mileage policies vary, some offer 100 to 150 free miles per day, others provide unlimited mileage for an additional fee. Review these details on the listing or message the host to build the perfect package.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book your RV rental in Sunny Isles Beach, you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host, which keeps everything protected. A refundable security deposit, separate from your booking payment, is held on your card before the trip and released back to you after the trip provided the RV is returned in the same condition. The amount varies by RV and protection plan selected. To avoid issues, do a thorough walkaround with the host at pickup, take date-stamped photos and video, and return the RV with the fuel and tanks as specified in the listing.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How do I handle hurricane season when planning an RV trip in Sunny Isles Beach?

Do not let it scare you off, just plan smart. Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, with peak activity from mid-August to mid-October. The vast majority of Sunny Isles Beach RV trips during this window are uneventful, with sunny mornings and brief afternoon storms. The key is monitoring the National Hurricane Center forecast 5 to 7 days before your trip and staying flexible if a named storm approaches. RVezy's cancellation policy includes provisions for major weather events, and Miami-Dade County issues clear evacuation guidance when needed. Tip: book a campground inland (like Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park) for added peace of mind during storm season.
