The RV was fantastic and Josh was a great host! We were his first booking and you never would’ve known. He was super thorough in the walk-around going through the RV and the intricacies of the truck (it has air brakes!). Once on the road, it was super easy to drive, if you can say that about a 36’ Super C! The air ride seat made it really comfy and the adaptive cruise made it super easy to navigate from the driver side. And the kids and wife loved the onboard generator to watch TV, heat up some food, use the restroom, and even sleep while en route to our destination. When it’s time for another adventure, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Josh to rent again! Highly recommend Josh and his RV.

This was a wonderful experience. We camped in beach areas as well as wooded by a lake and this van was comfortable, reliable and REALLY easy to drive. We went to Atlanta, also, to the aquarium and navigating the city was easy as pie in this thing. The owners are INCREDIBLY nice and the communication is some of the best I’ve ever seen across things like this app, AirBnB, etc. Great people, great van, great experience.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in College Park, GA

How much does an RV rental in College Park cost?

RV rental in College Park is more affordable than you might expect, with most travel trailers starting around $90 to $140 per night, Class C motorhomes averaging $150 to $220, and larger Class A coaches running $200 to $300 nightly. Because College Park sits right next to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, hosts often compete on price, which keeps rates friendly. To find a cheap RV rental College Park travelers love, book mid-week stays, target shoulder seasons like March or October, and use the price filter on RVezy. Pro tip: bundling delivery with a longer stay often saves more than chasing the lowest nightly rate, since hosts frequently discount weekly bookings.

What license do I need to rent an RV in College Park, GA?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in College Park. Georgia does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or any special endorsement for motorhomes or travel trailers used recreationally, regardless of size. To rent on RVezy, you generally need to be 25 or older with a valid license, and your ID is verified through the platform during booking. Visiting from another country? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your home license, available from your local auto club for around $20. Most first-time renters are pleasantly surprised by how straightforward the process is.

Can the RV be delivered to me in College Park?

Yes, RV delivery in College Park is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially since many travelers fly into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) just minutes away. Many hosts will deliver the RV directly to your campground, hotel, short-term rental, or even a friend's driveway, then set up the awning, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before they leave. This is a game-changer if it is your first time renting an RV or you would rather skip driving a big rig through Atlanta traffic. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to see hosts who offer it, and note that delivery fees usually scale with distance from the host's home base.

Pro tip: ask the host about their per-mile rate before booking so you can budget your full route with no surprises.

When is the best time of year to take a College Park RV trip?

Spring (mid-March through May) and fall (mid-September through early November) are the sweet spots for a College Park RV trip. Daytime highs sit in the comfortable 65 to 80 degree range, humidity drops, and Georgia's azaleas and dogwoods in spring or the North Georgia mountain foliage in October make road trips spectacular. Summers can reach the low 90s with high humidity, but RV air conditioning plus lakeside campgrounds like Lake Lanier handle that easily. Winters are mild, with highs typically in the 50s, making December through February a quiet, affordable shoulder season for RV camping in College Park. Pro tip: book early if you want spring weekends, as Georgia State Park sites fill quickly.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be able to handle it?

You've absolutely got this, even if it's your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup, showing you how to operate the generator, water systems, slides, awning, and propane, and you can ask as many questions as you need. If you'd rather not drive at all, choose a host who offers delivery and setup, and your campervan rental College Park experience starts with the RV already parked and ready. For new drivers, smaller Class C motorhomes and travel trailers under 25 feet are easiest to handle around metro Atlanta. Pro tip: do a practice loop through a quiet parking lot before merging onto I-285, and you'll feel confident in 15 minutes.

What if I have a breakdown or roadside issue during my College Park RV trip?

You are never alone on the road. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat tire, dead battery, or lockout is just one phone call away from being handled. You can also reach the RVezy support team any time before, during, or after your trip, and your host is typically a quick text away for questions about how something on the RV works. RV service centers around metro Atlanta, including in Forest Park and Morrow, can handle most repairs quickly if needed. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number to your phone before you leave the driveway, alongside your host's contact info.

Can I take my RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, interstate travel is fully allowed and incredibly easy from College Park, since you're sitting on I-85, I-75, and I-285, the gateways to Florida, the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Alabama. Cross-border travel into Canada may also be allowed depending on the specific host and their insurance, so just message them through the listing to confirm before booking a long northern loop. One important note: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Popular multi-state routes from here include the Smoky Mountains loop through Tennessee and a Florida Panhandle run down through Tallahassee. Pro tip: ask the host about mileage caps if you're planning to cross multiple states.

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect and how much will gas cost?

Realistic expectations make for a happy trip. Class A motorhomes typically get 7 to 10 miles per gallon, Class C motorhomes around 10 to 14, campervans and Class B units 16 to 20, and tow vehicles with travel trailers about 10 to 14. Georgia gas prices tend to run below the national average, often around $2.90 to $3.30 per gallon for regular near College Park, with diesel slightly higher. A 500-mile round trip in a Class C might burn roughly 40 gallons, or about $130 in fuel. Pro tip: use GasBuddy and fill up at Costco or Sam's Club in nearby Morrow or Kennesaw before heading out for the cheapest prices around metro Atlanta.

How far in advance should I book a campground near College Park?

For Georgia State Parks like Sweetwater Creek, Stone Mountain, and Red Top Mountain, you can reserve up to 13 months in advance through the Georgia State Parks reservation system (Reserve America), and summer weekends often fill 4 to 6 months out. Private parks like Atlanta South RV Resort and Stone Mountain Park Campground also book heavily for spring break, Memorial Day, July 4th, and college football weekends (Atlanta hosts the SEC Championship and Peach Bowl). For a typical weekend trip, aim to book 6 to 8 weeks ahead. Pro tip: weeknight stays are almost always available last minute, even in peak season, which is great for spontaneous escapes from the city.

What's driving an RV around College Park and Atlanta actually like?

Driving an RV around College Park is very manageable if you plan around rush hours. I-285 (the Perimeter) and I-85 get busy from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, so aim to roll out mid-morning or after dinner. Watch for the 13 foot 6 inch overhead clearance standard on most Georgia interstates, and avoid the lower-clearance downtown Atlanta connector tunnels and parking decks with anything over 11 feet. Summer afternoon thunderstorms are common and intense but usually brief, so a quick pull-off at a rest area is the easy move. Pro tip: if Atlanta traffic stresses you out, choose delivery from your RVezy host and skip the driving entirely.

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near College Park?

Campgrounds in the College Park area are well-equipped for a comfortable trip. Most private RV parks like Atlanta South RV Resort offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, hot showers, laundry, and a pool. Georgia State Parks like Sweetwater Creek and Stone Mountain provide water and electric at most sites, plus centralized dump stations and modern bathhouses. You'll find potable water fill stations at nearly every campground, and free dump stations are also available at some Pilot/Flying J truck stops along I-75 and I-85. Pro tip: top off freshwater and dump tanks the morning of checkout, and you'll roll into your next stop ready to relax instead of doing chores.

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Pickup is usually at the host's home, often within 15 to 25 minutes of Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) airport. Pro tip: bundle delivery, linens, and a generator into one booking message to lock in everything at once.

How does payment and the security deposit work on an RVezy College Park booking?

Payment is simple and transparent. You pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host, so your booking is documented and protected. A refundable security deposit is handled separately from your booking payment and released after the host confirms the RV is returned in the same condition you received it. The deposit amount is shown clearly on the listing before you book. To avoid any issues, do a quick walkthrough video at pickup and dropoff (most hosts will do this with you), follow the host's fuel and dump-tank return rules, and stay within the agreed mileage. Pro tip: keep all your receipts in case you ever need to clarify a charge.
