The RV was fantastic and Josh was a great host! We were his first booking and you never would’ve known. He was super thorough in the walk-around going through the RV and the intricacies of the truck (it has air brakes!). Once on the road, it was super easy to drive, if you can say that about a 36’ Super C! The air ride seat made it really comfy and the adaptive cruise made it super easy to navigate from the driver side. And the kids and wife loved the onboard generator to watch TV, heat up some food, use the restroom, and even sleep while en route to our destination. When it’s time for another adventure, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Josh to rent again! Highly recommend Josh and his RV.

This was a wonderful experience. We camped in beach areas as well as wooded by a lake and this van was comfortable, reliable and REALLY easy to drive. We went to Atlanta, also, to the aquarium and navigating the city was easy as pie in this thing. The owners are INCREDIBLY nice and the communication is some of the best I’ve ever seen across things like this app, AirBnB, etc. Great people, great van, great experience.

Fall foliage peaks in the north Georgia mountains around late October. Winters are mild, with daytime highs in the 50s and overnight lows occasionally dipping below freezing. Pro tip: book a campervan rental in Mountain Park for a leaf-peeping loop through Amicalola Falls and Helen in mid-October. It's magic.

You can also message the host through the platform anytime before or during your trip. Pro tip: book a Class C motorhome for your first rent an RV in Mountain Park experience. What's a realistic fuel budget for an RV trip from Mountain Park?

Fuel is easier to budget than most renters expect. Travel trailers towed by your own SUV or truck don't change your gas use dramatically, while Class B campervans average 15 to 20 mpg, Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 mpg, and Class A coaches average 6 to 10 mpg. As of spring 2026, Georgia's average regular gas price is around $3.70 to $4.10 per gallon according to AAA, with prices often a bit lower in north Fulton County than at interstate stations. For a 300-mile round trip in a Class C, budget roughly $115 to $150 in fuel. Pro tip: use GasBuddy to find cheaper stations along GA-400 before topping off near the highway.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Mountain Park?

Booking early is the smart move. Georgia State Parks like Red Top Mountain and Don Carter accept reservations up to 13 months in advance through ReserveAmerica, and prime summer weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) often fill 4 to 6 months out. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Lake Lanier and Lake Allatoona (like Bald Ridge Creek and Payne Campground) take reservations up to 6 months ahead through Recreation.gov. Stone Mountain Park Campground books directly on its own site and fills quickly for fall pumpkin festival weekends. Pro tip: weekday arrivals are far easier to score, and many hosts offering RV delivery Mountain Park will deliver straight to your reserved campsite.

What are driving conditions like around Mountain Park and metro Atlanta?

Mountain Park sits just off GA-400 in north Fulton County, which makes getting in and out easy, but a few local tips will set you up for success. Metro Atlanta traffic peaks roughly 7 to 9:30 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, so plan to leave Mountain Park outside rush hours, especially in a larger Class A or Class C. Avoid driving tall RVs along the I-285 Perimeter during rush hour and watch low clearances near older bridges in downtown Atlanta and Roswell's Canton Street. Roads north toward Dahlonega and Helen include some tight switchbacks. Pro tip: hosts offering RV delivery in Mountain Park can drop the RV at your campground so you skip city driving entirely.

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Mountain Park?

You'll find well-equipped campgrounds within a short drive. Most full-service spots like Stone Mountain Park, Bald Ridge Creek, and Red Top Mountain offer 30/50-amp electric, potable water, fire rings, picnic tables, hot showers, flush toilets, and on-site dump stations. Some, like Margaritaville at Lanier Islands, offer full sewer hookups, Wi-Fi, and resort-style pools. Public dump stations are available at most Georgia State Parks (free for overnight guests) and at select Pilot/Flying J truck stops along I-75 and I-85. Potable water fills are standard at campground spigots. Pro tip: pack a 25-foot drinking water hose and a 30-amp to 50-amp adapter so you're ready for any site configuration across north Georgia.

What is included inside the RV itself?

Mountain Park RV rentals come stocked and ready for adventure. Expect comfortable beds (most sleep 4 to 8), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a private bathroom with shower and toilet, climate control with both AC and furnace, and dining seating with seatbelts for travel. Most Class C and Class A motorhomes include a generator for off-grid power, and many hosts add a TV, Bluetooth stereo, and outdoor awning. Wi-Fi hotspots are available as an add-on with some hosts. Each listing details exactly what is included. Pro tip: filter by Sleeps count to match your group size, and message the host to confirm linens, kitchenware, and outdoor chairs are included so you can pack light.

What add-ons and extras do hosts offer in Mountain Park?

Mountain Park hosts make trip planning easy with practical add-ons. Common extras include linen and towel packages ($25 to $75), kitchen kits with pots, pans, and dishes ($25 to $50), outdoor chairs and tables, bike racks, generator usage, portable grills, and propane refills. Mileage policies and generator-hour limits are clearly listed on each page. How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure when you rent an RV in Mountain Park through RVezy. You pay the full booking amount by credit or debit card at checkout, and the funds are held by RVezy (not the host) until your trip begins, which protects both sides. A refundable security deposit is also placed on your card before pickup, typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV type and host. As long as you return the RV in the same condition with tanks handled per the listing rules, the deposit is released after your trip ends. Pro tip: do a quick video walkaround at pickup and dropoff. It takes two minutes and prevents most deposit disputes.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Can I take my RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, interstate travel is welcome on most Mountain Park rentals, which is great news because some of the best trips from north Fulton County cross into Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida. Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed by some hosts depending on insurance coverage, so message the host before booking to confirm and to add it to your trip details. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage do not extend there. Popular interstate runs from Mountain Park include the Smoky Mountains (about 165 miles), Charleston, SC (about 310 miles), and the Florida Gulf Coast (about 415 miles). Pro tip: confirm any out-of-state plans with your host in writing through the RVezy message thread.
