We had a fantastic experience with Obi’s RV. It is a great RV, in excellent condition and really easy to drive and stay in. It is comfortable and spacious and Obi’s communication was excellent. Both he and his wife are lovely people and were incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole experience from booking through to return. I would highly recommend.

Yes, RV delivery in Brock Hall is one of the most popular options on the platform, and it's a game-changer for first-time renters. When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Brock Hall?

Spring and fall are the sweet spots for any Brock Hall RV trip. April through early June brings comfortable temperatures in the 60s and 70s, blooming dogwoods, and DC's cherry blossoms just up the road. September through late October delivers gorgeous fall foliage, daytime highs in the 60s and 70s, and far fewer mosquitoes than peak summer. Summers here are hot and humid (often 85 to 95°F with high humidity), so if you visit June through August, prioritize campgrounds with electric hookups so you can run the AC. Winters are mild (30s to 50s), and Greenbelt Park stays open year-round if you want a quiet off-season getaway.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving one around Brock Hall?

You'll be just fine, even if it's your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, hookups, propane, slide-outs, and the dump station, so you're never left guessing. Brock Hall itself sits on quiet suburban roads in Prince George's County, and you can easily reach campgrounds south on US Route 301 without ever touching the chaotic Capital Beltway. If you'd rather skip city driving entirely, book a host who offers delivery and they'll bring the RV right to you. Most first-timers tell us they were surprised how natural driving an RV felt after the first 20 minutes.

What should I budget for fuel on a Brock Hall RV trip?

Fuel is the biggest variable in your trip budget, so plan ahead. Class B campervans rented in Brock Hall typically get 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes around 10 to 14 MPG, and larger Class A rigs and tow vehicles pulling travel trailers around 7 to 10 MPG. Maryland gas prices tend to run slightly above the national average, with diesel a bit higher, so check current prices along your route before you leave. For a 4-day, 400-mile loop to Assateague and back from Brock Hall in a Class C, plan on roughly $150 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: Costco in Beltsville and Wawa stations along Route 301 are reliable bets for cheaper fill-ups.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Brock Hall?

Booking early is the move, especially for summer weekends. Cedarville State Forest and Greenbelt Park both open reservations on a 6-month rolling window, and the most popular sites for Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends can disappear within hours of opening. For Maryland State Parks like Cedarville, use parkreservations.maryland.gov; for Greenbelt Park and other National Park Service sites, use Recreation.gov. Private parks like Cherry Hill in College Park and the Washington DC/Capitol KOA usually have more flexibility but still fill up. Pro tip: for a spring or fall trip, you can often book just two to three weeks out and still snag a great spot.
recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232474

What are the local driving conditions like around Brock Hall?

Brock Hall sits in a quiet, suburban pocket of Prince George's County with low-traffic roads, which makes it a friendly launchpad for new RVers. The trickier driving is on the Capital Beltway (I-495) and I-95, which can be congested during rush hours (roughly 6 to 9 AM and 3 to 7 PM weekdays), so plan departures outside those windows. Watch for low clearances on a few older bridges along DC parkways like the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, where commercial vehicles (and tall RVs) are restricted. US Route 301 south toward the Bay Bridge and Cedarville State Forest is wide, flat, and stress-free. In winter, occasional snow or ice can hit, so check Maryland 511 before you roll.

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Brock Hall?

Local campgrounds offer a great range of amenities to make life easy. Cedarville State Forest has 30-amp electric sites on the inner loop, a dump station, bathhouses with hot showers, and water spigots throughout (no individual water hookups). Greenbelt Park is primitive (no hookups at the site) but includes flush toilets, drinking water, showers, and a dump station, all for around $20 per night. For full hookups (water, electric, sewer at your site), head to Cherry Hill Park in College Park or Duncan's Family Campground in Lothian. Pro tip: if your RV doesn't have huge tanks, choose a full-hookup site so you can shower freely without worrying about gray water levels.
nps.gov/gree/planyourvisit/campground.htm

What's inside a typical Brock Hall RV rental?

Most RVs you'll find in Brock Hall come fully equipped for comfortable living. Expect a full kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, and sink; a bathroom with toilet and shower; a dinette and sleeping arrangements that range from 2 to 8+ people depending on the rig; air conditioning and a furnace; and seatbelts for everyone traveling while moving. Many motorhome rentals in Brock Hall also include a TV, a generator for boondocking, an awning, and sometimes outdoor speakers or a bike rack. Wi-Fi varies, so plan to use your phone hotspot or campground Wi-Fi. Pro tip: check the listing's amenities list carefully and message the host if you need specifics like a CPAP-friendly outlet or a kid's booster seat.

What add-ons can I get with my Brock Hall RV rental?

Hosts in Brock Hall offer all kinds of helpful add-ons to customize your trip. Common options include kitchen kits (pots, plates, utensils), linen and bedding packages, generators, portable fire pits, bike racks, kayaks, outdoor camping chairs, and pre-filled propane tanks. Pickup is usually at the host's home in or near Brock Hall, but many hosts offer delivery to nearby campgrounds like Cedarville State Forest or Greenbelt Park for a per-mile fee. Mileage policies vary (some offer a daily allowance, others offer unlimited), so review the listing's mileage and generator hours before booking. Pro tip: bundle delivery plus a kitchen kit for the easiest first-timer experience.

How does payment and the security deposit work when I rent an RV in Brock Hall?

Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy directly when you book (no cash to the host), and the platform handles the transaction so both you and the owner are protected. The security deposit is separate from your booking payment and is collected as a pre-authorization hold on your card shortly before pickup. The amount is set by the host and shown clearly on the listing. As long as you return the RV in the same condition with no damages, the hold is released after your trip ends. Pro tip: do a thorough walkaround with your host at pickup and snap a quick video to document the RV's condition, which makes deposit returns smooth and fast.

Where can I dump waste and refill water on an RV trip near Brock Hall?

You've got reliable dump and fill options close by, so don't stress the tanks. Cedarville State Forest has a dump station and potable water fill open during the camping season (April through October). Greenbelt Park has a dump station and potable water available year-round, even if you're not camping there overnight (small fee may apply). Cherry Hill Park in College Park welcomes day-use dumping for a small fee, and many Flying J and Pilot truck stops along I-95 north and south of Brock Hall offer dump and water for around $15 to $20. Pro tip: never dump gray or black water at a regular gas station, only at designated RV dump stations to stay on the right side of Maryland environmental law.
