We had a great experience renting this RV! Chris is very easy to get ahold of, answered all of our questions, and set everything up perfectly for us. The RV was beautiful and perfect for our family of 4. We hope to rent again!

2023 Coachmen Travel Trailer
We had a great experience with Nicholas and his RV! We had the RV delivered and would do so again. It really relieved some of the hassle of camping 8 hours from home with delivery and set up taken care of. Our toddler slept well in the bunk room, which we all needed. And we were grateful for the A/C when an extreme heat warning started during the trip. We would absolutely rent from Nicholas again.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Garrison, MD
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Garrison, MD?
RV rental in Garrison is one of the most affordable ways to explore the Mid-Atlantic, with most travel trailers starting around $90 to $150 per night and Class C motorhomes typically running $175 to $275 per night. Larger Class A motorhomes can reach $300 or more nightly during peak summer weekends. To score a cheap RV rental in Garrison, book mid-week stays in May or September, look for hosts offering free miles or generator hours, and use the price filter to sort listings by budget. Many Garrison-area hosts drop their rates 15 to 25 percent for stays of seven nights or more, which is perfect if you're planning a Chesapeake Bay loop or a Shenandoah getaway.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Garrison,MarylandDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Garrison, Maryland?
Good news: for the vast majority of RV rentals in Garrison, your regular Class C Maryland driver's license (or any standard out-of-state license) is all you need. The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration only requires a noncommercial Class A or B license if the motorhome's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating exceeds 26,000 pounds, which excludes nearly every rental on RVezy. You'll need to be 25 or older and complete RVezy's quick approved driver verification through the platform. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home license plus an International Driving Permit and you're set to rent an RV in Maryland with zero extra paperwork.

Every motorhome rental in Garrison booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can pull out of the driveway with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose your coverage level at checkout, not the host. Pick the tier that matches your comfort level, then enjoy exploring the Baltimore Beltway, the Chesapeake Bay shoreline, or the Appalachian foothills with confidence.

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every reservation (hosts don't), and it includes a grace-period window where you can cancel for a full refund right after booking. If something unexpected comes up closer to your trip, partial refunds may be available depending on how far out you are. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds your booking or provides travel credit so your plans aren't derailed. Review the full cancellation policy on the RVezy site before you confirm and lock in your Garrison dates with confidence.

Absolutely, a pet-friendly RV rental in Garrison is easy to find. Use the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to instantly show listings where dogs (and sometimes cats) are welcome, often for a small cleaning fee. Once you're on the road, your pup will love Patapsco Valley State Park, which allows leashed pets in designated camping loops and on most trails just minutes south of Garrison. Oregon Ridge Park in nearby Cockeysville is another local favorite. Message the host before booking to confirm any breed or size preferences and ask about nearby dog-friendly trailheads.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/Pages/PetPolicy.aspxCan the RV be delivered to my campground or driveway in Garrison?
Yes, RV delivery in Garrison is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it's a game-changer if you're new to RVing or don't want to drive a big rig through Baltimore traffic. Many Garrison-area hosts will deliver the RV directly to your driveway or a local campground like Patapsco Valley State Park or Bar Harbor RV Park in Abingdon, then level it, hook up the utilities, and walk you through every system. Delivery fees usually range from $2 to $5 per mile round trip, with some hosts offering free delivery within a set radius. Filter by Delivery on RVezy to see who offers it near you.

From Garrison, Ocean City is about 150 miles east (around a 3-hour drive), Shenandoah National Park is roughly 110 miles southwest, Assateague Island National Seashore sits about 145 miles southeast, and Deep Creek Lake is around 175 miles west in the Maryland mountains. Bar Harbor RV Park in Abingdon (about 30 miles northeast) has full hookups and Chesapeake Bay access. Ramblin' Pines Family Campground in Woodbine sits roughly 20 miles west with a pool and mini golf. dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/central/patapscovalley.aspxWhen is the best time of year to rent an RV in Garrison?
The sweet spot for an RV trip from Garrison is mid-April through late October, with September and early October being especially scenic. Daytime highs in spring and fall hover around 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity drops, and the Patapsco Valley lights up with fall color. Summer (June to August) is warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s and frequent afternoon thunderstorms, but the AC in your motorhome handles it easily. Winter rentals (December to March) are available too, with lows typically around 25 to 35 degrees, perfect for a cozy cold-weather getaway if the RV has a furnace and heated tanks. Confirm winterization with your host.
weather.gov/lwx/I've never rented an RV before. Will I be able to handle it?
First time renting an RV? You're going to do great, and Garrison is a friendly launchpad. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on walkthrough at pickup, covering driving, leveling, the water and waste systems, the generator, and the propane. Most first-timers in the Garrison area start with a Class C motorhome or a small travel trailer because they drive similarly to a large van or pickup. Stick to back roads like MD-140 for your first few miles instead of jumping straight onto the Baltimore Beltway, and you'll feel confident in under an hour. RVezy's support team is one tap away if you have questions on the road.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/rv-safetyWhat if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?
You're never on your own. Every RV rental in Garrison booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing if needed. Your host is typically just a phone call or message away to troubleshoot quirks like the water pump or awning. For mechanical emergencies on I-695, I-95, or I-70, dispatch can usually reach you quickly given Garrison's proximity to service centers in Owings Mills, Towson, and Baltimore. Save the RVezy support contact in your phone before pickup and you've got backup on every mile.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Garrison RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is standard on an RV road trip from Garrison. Popular routes include heading north to Pennsylvania Dutch country, west into West Virginia's New River Gorge, or south to Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, all without extra paperwork. Cross-border travel to Canada is allowed on many listings but depends on the host and insurance, so message the host directly before booking if you're planning a Niagara Falls run or a trip up to Quebec. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental, since insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Stick to the US and Canada and you've got a continent to explore.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat should I budget for fuel on a Garrison RV trip?
Fuel is usually the biggest variable cost, but it's easy to budget. Class C motorhomes around Garrison average 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class A motorhomes get 6 to 10 MPG, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (typically 10 to 14 MPG). Maryland gas prices tend to run close to the national average, with diesel slightly higher. For a 300-mile weekend loop in a Class C, expect to spend roughly $90 to $140 on fuel depending on current pump prices. Costco in Glen Burnie and Sam's Club in Catonsville consistently have some of the cheapest fuel within 20 miles of Garrison.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Garrison?
For Maryland state park campgrounds like Patapsco Valley, Susquehanna, and Greenbrier, book as early as you can: the Maryland Park Service reservation system opens reservations up to 12 months in advance, and prime summer weekends near Garrison fill within hours of release. Private parks like Bar Harbor RV Park or Ramblin' Pines can usually be booked 1 to 3 months out, and shoulder-season weekends (April, May, September, October) often have availability inside of two weeks. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Maryland state parks typically require a 2-night minimum on weekends and 3 nights on holiday weekends, so plan accordingly.
parkreservations.maryland.gov/What are driving conditions like around Garrison and Baltimore?
Garrison sits just outside the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), so the most important tip is to time your drives around rush hour: avoid I-695, I-83, and I-70 between 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m. The roads in Garrison itself are gently rolling and easy in an RV. Be aware that the Fort McHenry Tunnel (I-95) and Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (I-895) restrict propane-carrying vehicles, so use I-695 (the Key Bridge replacement route via the western Beltway) instead. Maryland summer thunderstorms can pop up fast, and snow is occasional from December to February but rarely heavy. Nervous about the city? Book delivery and skip the Beltway entirely.
chart.maryland.gov/What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Garrison?
Campgrounds near Garrison range from full-service resorts to rustic state parks, and most have what you need. Patapsco Valley State Park offers electric hookups (30-amp), potable water spigots, hot showers, flush toilets, and a dump station. Private parks like Bar Harbor RV Park and Ramblin' Pines provide full hookups (water, sewer, 30/50-amp electric), Wi-Fi, laundry, and pools. For dumping and water fills on the road, the Maryland House Travel Plaza on I-95 and most KOA locations offer public dump stations for a small fee. Always confirm the campground accepts your RV's length, since some Maryland state park sites max out around 29 to 40 feet.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/campinginfo.aspxWhat's inside a typical RV rental in Garrison?
You'll be impressed by how loaded modern RVs are. A typical campervan rental in Garrison or Class C motorhome includes a queen or king bed, convertible dinette and sofa sleepers, a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a wet or dry bath with toilet and shower, a roof AC, a furnace, and a TV. Larger motorhomes add slide-outs, washer/dryer combos, and onboard generators. Wi-Fi isn't always built in, but most hosts offer a hotspot add-on or you can use your phone's data, which works well around Garrison and most of central Maryland. Check each listing's amenity list and message the host if a specific feature is a must-have.
rvia.org/todays-rvs/typesWhat add-ons and pickup options do Garrison hosts offer?
Garrison hosts offer a range of helpful add-ons to customize your trip. Common extras include kitchen kits ($25 to $50), bedding packages ($25 to $75), camping chairs and outdoor mats, generator hours over the included allowance, bike racks, paddleboards, and extra miles (often $0.30 to $0.50 each). Pickup is typically at the host's home in Garrison, Owings Mills, or Pikesville, with delivery available from many hosts to your campground or driveway. Mileage policies vary by listing, with most offering 100 to 150 free miles per night and some offering RV rental with unlimited mileage. Review each listing's add-ons section before booking so your trip is dialed in.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Garrison,MarylandHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book an RV rental in Maryland through RVezy, your full trip cost is charged through the platform (never directly to the host), and your card information stays protected. A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, not actually charged unless there's damage or a policy violation. To avoid surprises, take time-stamped photos of the RV inside and out at pickup and dropoff, return it with the same fuel and propane levels, and dump the tanks if your host requires it. The hold is released within a few days of a smooth return.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksCan I rent an RV in Garrison during the winter?
Yes, winter RV rentals around Garrison are absolutely doable and surprisingly fun. Garrison winters are mild compared to northern New England, with average lows around 25 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit and only occasional snow. Look for RVs listed as four-season or winter-ready, confirm with the host that the furnace, heated tanks, and skirting are in place, and plan stays at campgrounds that keep water on during the cold months (many switch to electric-only sites in winter). Bring extra propane, pack warm bedding, and enjoy quiet trails at Patapsco Valley State Park with almost no crowds.
