2023 Coachmen Travel Trailer
We had a great experience with Nicholas and his RV! We had the RV delivered and would do so again. It really relieved some of the hassle of camping 8 hours from home with delivery and set up taken care of. Our toddler slept well in the bunk room, which we all needed. And we were grateful for the A/C when an extreme heat warning started during the trip. We would absolutely rent from Nicholas again.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Jarrettsville, MD
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Jarrettsville, MD?
RV rental in Jarrettsville is refreshingly affordable compared to big-city pickups in Baltimore or DC. On RVezy, you'll typically find travel trailers starting around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes between $175 and $275 per night, and larger Class A coaches from $250 to $400 per night. Because hosts in Harford County set their own pricing, you can score a cheap RV rental in Jarrettsville by booking midweek, traveling in April or October, or filtering for trailers if you already tow. Pro tip: book at least six weeks ahead of Memorial Day or Labor Day weekend, when Susquehanna State Park and local fairs drive demand up fast.
visitharford.com/blog/post/harford-county-camping/What license do I need to rent an RV in Jarrettsville, Maryland?
Good news: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Jarrettsville, Maryland. The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or special endorsement for personal-use motorhomes, even larger Class A coaches you'll see on RVezy. You must be at least 25 years old to book on RVezy, and we'll verify your ID securely through the platform before your trip. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) for peace of mind at traffic stops. That's it, you're cleared to roll out toward Rocks State Park.
mva.maryland.gov/drivers/Pages/license-classifications.aspxIs my RV rental protected if something goes wrong?
Yes, every RV rental in Jarrettsville booked on RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can head out toward Route 165 with confidence. At checkout you choose the protection level that fits your trip, and coverage helps with damage to the vehicle so you have real peace of mind without the paperwork of traditional rental insurance. You select your coverage, not the host, which keeps you in control. First time renting an RV? That built-in support is a big reason families feel comfortable booking their first Maryland trip on RVezy.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat happens if I need to cancel my Jarrettsville RV trip?
Plans change, and RVezy is built to flex with you. RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every booking (hosts do not), and there is a money-back grace period right after you book so you are not locked in the moment you click confirm. Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel and the policy tier applied to your booking, which you can review on your booking page before you confirm. If a host cancels, you receive a refund or travel credit. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best Jarrettsville rigs, knowing you have flexibility if life shifts.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Jarrettsville RV rental?
Absolutely, many hosts offer a pet-friendly RV rental in Jarrettsville, just filter for Pet Friendly on RVezy before booking. Harford County is a dream for dog parents: Rocks State Park along Deer Creek has shaded leashed-pet trails, the Ma and Pa Heritage Trail in Bel Air welcomes leashed dogs on its paved multi-use path, and Susquehanna State Park lets leashed pups join you on miles of wooded trails. Most pet-friendly hosts ask for a small cleaning fee per pet. Pro tip: message the host before booking to share your dog's size and breed so they can recommend the best layout for paws and naps.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/Pages/central/Susquehanna.aspxCan the RV be delivered to my campground or driveway?
Yes, RV delivery in Jarrettsville is one of the smartest ways to start a stress-free trip, especially if you have never towed or driven a motorhome. Many RVezy hosts in Harford County will deliver and set up your rental directly at Susquehanna State Park, Rocks State Park, a private property, or your driveway in nearby Bel Air, Forest Hill, or Fallston. They will level the rig, hook up power and water, and walk you through everything before handing over the keys. Filter for Delivery on RVezy to see your options. It is the secret weapon for a relaxed family RV trip Jarrettsville visitors talk about long after.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038469353-RV-deliveryHow far can I travel from Jarrettsville on an RV road trip?
Jarrettsville sits in a sweet spot for an RV road trip from Jarrettsville to nearly anywhere on the Mid-Atlantic coast. You're about 35 miles from Baltimore's Inner Harbor, 70 miles from Washington, DC, 90 miles from Philadelphia, 150 miles from Virginia Beach, and roughly 145 miles from Assateague Island National Seashore where wild horses roam the dunes. Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is just 55 miles north for Civil War history fans. Every host sets their own mileage policy on RVezy, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is gold for long loops. Pro tip: filter by mileage allowance and message the host before booking your route.
nps.gov/asis/index.htmWhat are the best campgrounds near Jarrettsville, MD?
You're surrounded by some of Maryland's best campgrounds near Jarrettsville. Susquehanna State Park in Havre de Grace (about 20 miles east) has 69 wooded sites, six with electric, plus cabins along the Susquehanna River. Rocks State Park is just 10 minutes away with day-use access to the King and Queen Seat overlook. Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in Abingdon (25 minutes south) offers waterfront full-hookup sites with 30 and 50 amp service. Ramblin' Pines in Woodbine and Country Acres Campground are great family options. Pro tip: book Susquehanna State Park early since it's one of the most reserved state campgrounds in Maryland.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/Pages/central/Susquehanna.aspxWhen is the best time to plan an RV trip in Jarrettsville?
Late April through mid-October is prime time for RV camping Jarrettsville style, but the real sweet spots are May, September, and the first half of October. Spring temperatures hover between 55 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit with dogwoods and redbuds blooming along Deer Creek. Summers run hot and humid, often 85 to 92 degrees with afternoon thunderstorms, so AC and shaded sites matter. Fall delivers crisp 50-to-70-degree days and stunning foliage at Rocks State Park's Hidden Valley. Winter rentals are quieter and cheaper if you choose a four-season rig. Local insider tip: visit during the Harford County Farm Fair in late July for an authentic Jarrettsville-area experience.
weather.gov/lwx/I have never driven an RV before, will I be okay?
You will do great, and you will not be figuring it out alone. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving, leveling, propane, slide-outs, and the dump process so nothing is a mystery. First time renting an RV in Jarrettsville is actually easier than in a big city because the roads around Route 23, Route 165, and Route 152 are mostly rural two-lanes with light traffic outside rush hour. Start with a smaller Class C or a campervan rental Jarrettsville hosts list if you are nervous. Pro tip: book delivery for your first trip so your only job is to enjoy Maryland's countryside.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat if my RV breaks down during the trip?
Take a breath, you are covered. Every motorhome rental Jarrettsville booking on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so help is one phone call away whether you are on I-95 near Aberdeen, headed west toward Deep Creek Lake, or parked at Elk Neck State Park. Roadside support handles flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, towing, and mechanical breakdowns. RVezy's customer support team is also available before, during, and after your trip through the Help Center. Pro tip: snap a quick photo of any dashboard warning indicators and message your host first, many issues are easy fixes they have seen before.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take a Jarrettsville RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is normal for an RV rental in Maryland, and Jarrettsville's location near I-95 makes Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia easy day-one destinations. Popular routes include heading north to Gettysburg, south to Shenandoah National Park, or east to the Delaware beaches. Cross-border travel into Canada depends on the host and protection coverage, so message the host directly from the listing before booking to confirm. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Pro tip: tell your host your route up front and they can flag any toll, mountain, or low-clearance considerations.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow much should I budget for fuel on a Jarrettsville RV trip?
Fuel is usually the second-biggest line item after the rental itself, but it's predictable. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes 8 to 12 mpg, Class A coaches 6 to 9 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Maryland gas prices typically sit close to the national average, with stations in Bel Air, Forest Hill, and along Route 1 offering the most convenient fill-ups around Jarrettsville. For a 300-mile weekend loop in a Class C, budget roughly $120 to $180 in fuel. Pro tip: GasBuddy and the Costco in Abingdon usually have the lowest diesel and regular prices in Harford County.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Jarrettsville?
Book early and you'll lock in the best sites. Maryland state park campgrounds, including Susquehanna State Park and Elk Neck, open reservations up to a year in advance through the Maryland DNR reservation system, and weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day fill within hours of release. Private parks like Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina and Ramblin' Pines accept reservations year-round and are easier to grab on short notice. For peak summer or fall-foliage weekends, aim for 3 to 6 months ahead. Local insider tip: midweek Sunday-through-Thursday stays at Susquehanna are often wide open even in July, and you'll have Deer Creek almost to yourself.
parkreservations.maryland.gov/What are driving conditions like around Jarrettsville?
Driving around Jarrettsville is mostly relaxed, with rolling farmland on Route 165, Route 23, and Jarrettsville Pike. The biggest things to watch are tight switchback curves on Route 24 heading into Rocks State Park, narrow shoulders on some back roads near Eden Mill Nature Center, and rush-hour congestion if you head toward Bel Air or I-95 between 7 and 9 a.m. Summer afternoon thunderstorms can drop heavy rain quickly, and winter occasionally brings snow or ice between December and February. Local insider tip: avoid Route 1 through Bel Air on Friday afternoons in summer, take Route 543 south instead for a calmer drive toward the bay.
roads.maryland.gov/What hookups and amenities do Jarrettsville-area campgrounds offer?
Most campgrounds near Jarrettsville offer a comfortable mix of options. Private parks like Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina provide full hookups (water, 30/50 amp electric, and sewer), Wi-Fi, hot showers, laundry, and a dump station. State parks like Susquehanna and Elk Neck typically offer non-electric and electric sites, central water spigots, bathhouses, and a centralized dump station rather than per-site sewer. You can also top off freshwater and dump tanks at Susquehanna State Park's RV-friendly facilities. Pro tip: if you want sewer at your site, book private; if you want quiet woods along Deer Creek, book state. Both deliver a great Jarrettsville RV trip.
dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/Pages/central/Susquehanna.aspxWhat's actually inside the RV I'll rent in Jarrettsville?
More than you'd expect, and often more than a hotel room. Most Jarrettsville rentals on RVezy include a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with toilet and shower, comfortable sleeping for 2 to 8 people, climate-controlled AC and heat, dinette seating with seatbelts for travel, and outdoor awnings for shaded campfire evenings. Many rigs add TVs, Bluetooth speakers, generators or solar setups, and Wi-Fi hotspots for off-grid streaming. Class B campervans pack everything into a nimble footprint, while Class A and Class C motorhomes offer slide-outs for extra living space. Pro tip: check the listing photos for bunk beds if you're planning a family RV trip Jarrettsville style.
helloharford.com/219/Camping-RV-Parks-MarinasWhat add-ons and options can I get with my RV rental?
Lots, and they make life easier. Common RVezy add-ons in the Jarrettsville area include linen and towel packages, kitchen kits with pots and dishes, camp chairs and outdoor rugs, generators, bike racks, kayaks, propane top-offs, and pet kits. Many hosts offer delivery and setup as a paid add-on, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage or generous daily mileage caps so you can roam to Deep Creek Lake or the Eastern Shore without watching the odometer. Pickup and dropoff usually happen at the host's property in Jarrettsville, Bel Air, Forest Hill, or Fallston, but delivery widens your options. Pro tip: bundle linens and a kitchen kit on your first trip, you will thank yourself.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038469353-RV-deliveryHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is straightforward and fully handled through the RVezy platform, so you never pay the host directly with cash. You pay your rental total at booking with a credit or debit card, and a refundable security deposit is pre-authorized (not charged) on your card shortly before the trip starts. As long as you return the RV in the agreed condition and within the mileage and generator hours on the booking, the hold is released after your trip wraps up. Pro tip: take dated photos and a short walk-around video at both pickup and dropoff in Jarrettsville, it is the fastest way to keep your deposit drama-free.
