2023 Nexus RV Class C
Julia was great to rent from! We booked the RV for our extended family’s first RV trip and requested delivery to the campground. She had everything set up and ready for us when we arrived—we just had to bring our car, linens, and food. Julia was very responsive throughout the process and even gave us a helpful walkthrough on our first night. It made our first RV experience easy and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!

How much does it cost to rent an RV in New Tripoli?
RV rental in New Tripoli is one of the most affordable ways to explore the Lehigh Valley and Blue Mountain ridge. Travel trailers typically run $75 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $175 to $275, and larger Class A coaches sit between $250 and $400. Weeknight stays (Sunday through Thursday) and shoulder-season trips in April, May, September, and October are noticeably cheaper than peak summer weekends. Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania. There's no Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or RV endorsement required in PA for any motorhome or trailer offered on RVezy, whether it's a campervan, a Class C, or a large Class A. You must be 25 or older to book, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform before pickup. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association. Most first-time renters are surprised at how quick the paperwork is, and your host walks you through the rig before you ever turn the key.
dmv.pa.gov/Driver-Services/Driver-Licensing/Pages/default.aspxWhat kind of protection is included when I book an RV in New Tripoli?
Every booking on RVezy includes a built-in renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the Northeast Extension or PA Route 309 with confidence. The protection plan covers most physical damage to the RV during your trip, which means a rogue tree branch at Blue Rocks or a curb-scrape pulling into the Allentown KOA is covered. During checkout, you choose the protection level that fits your comfort zone, from basic to premium coverage with a lower deductible. It is not traditional auto insurance, but it gives Pennsylvania renters real financial peace of mind. Pro tip: pick your protection tier before you pay so the quote you see is the final, all-in number.

You can manage everything from your RVezy dashboard, and our support team is reachable before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: book early to secure a Lehigh Valley rig for Musikfest or Dorney Park weekends. You are protected if life gets in the way.

Once you are on the road, your pup will love the Appalachian Trail access points along Blue Mountain and the dog-friendly loops at Trexler Nature Preserve in Schnecksville (about 15 minutes away). Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm pet fees and any breed or size limits so check-in is smooth.
dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/RulesAndSafety/Pages/Pets.aspxCan the RV be delivered to my campground in New Tripoli?
Yes, RV delivery New Tripoli is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers. Many local hosts will drive the RV right to Allentown KOA, Blue Rocks Family Campground in Lenhartsville, Hickory Run State Park, or even your own driveway. They'll level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through the propane, slide-outs, and waste tanks so nothing feels mysterious. Delivery fees are typically based on mileage from the host's location, and many will set up and pick up so all you do is unpack and relax. Pro tip: filter listings by Delivery, then message two or three hosts to compare delivery quotes for your specific campground.
dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/Pages/default.aspxHow far can I drive on a typical New Tripoli RV rental?

Allentown KOA Journey, right in New Tripoli on KOA Drive, has full-hookup pull-throughs up to 80 feet, a pool, and a stream running through the property. Blue Rocks Family Campground in Lenhartsville sits on the Appalachian Trail with its famous boulder field. Pine Hill Campground in Kutztown is small and quiet for couples. About 35 miles north, Hickory Run State Park offers a more rustic, forested setting with electric and primitive sites. Pro tip: book Allentown KOA 2 to 3 months ahead for any summer weekend, it fills fast thanks to its proximity to Dorney Park.
dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/HickoryRunStatePark/Pages/default.aspxWhen is the best time to visit New Tripoli in an RV?
Late April through mid-October is prime RV season in New Tripoli, with the absolute sweet spots being May, June, September, and the first half of October. Summer highs hover in the low 80s, nights cool into the 60s, and humidity stays manageable up on the Blue Mountain ridge. Fall foliage along the Appalachian Trail peaks the second and third weeks of October and is genuinely spectacular. Most local campgrounds, including Allentown KOA, run April 1 through November 1. Winters get cold (20s and 30s with occasional snow), so most rigs go off-line. Pro tip: book a New Tripoli RV trip for late September, the leaves are turning, the kids are back in school, and campground rates drop noticeably.
weather.gov/ctp/I've never driven an RV before. Is this really doable in New Tripoli?
Yes, first time renting an RV in New Tripoli is one of the friendlier places to start in the Northeast. Your host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup, covering the propane system, slide-outs, leveling, holding tanks, and how to hitch or unhitch if you're towing. The roads around New Tripoli are mostly wide, two-lane country routes through Lynn Township farmland, perfect for getting comfortable behind the wheel before merging onto I-78. If you'd rather skip driving entirely, choose a host who offers delivery and setup at your campsite. Pro tip: book a travel trailer or smaller Class C for your first trip, they're easier to maneuver on the winding ridge roads near Blue Mountain than a full Class A.
penndot.pa.gov/TravelInPA/Safety/Pages/default.aspxWhat happens if something goes wrong with the RV on my trip?
You're never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection package, so a flat tire on PA-309, a dead battery at Hickory Run, or a propane issue at the Allentown KOA is a single phone call away from help. Your host is also typically reachable by message or phone for quick questions like "how do I reset the inverter?" And RVezy's support team is available before, during, and after every trip. Pennsylvania has a dense network of RV service shops in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Hamburg if anything needs a hands-on fix. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number to your phone the day you pick up, it takes 10 seconds and you'll never need to dig for it.

Drive 75 miles south to Philadelphia for Independence Hall (park the rig at a suburban KOA and Uber in). Cruise 60 miles west to Lancaster County's Amish farmlands and covered bridges. Or push 140 miles to Gettysburg National Military Park for a weekend of history. Cross-border into New York for the Catskills is about 110 miles. Travel to Canada is allowed with most hosts but confirm first; travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Pro tip: loop the Poconos and Lancaster in one 4-day swing, it's the classic PA RV circuit.
visitpa.com/things-to-do/road-tripsWhat's the fuel cost like for an RV trip from New Tripoli?
Pennsylvania gas runs a bit higher than the national average (typically $3.40 to $3.80 per gallon as of 2025), and diesel sits 20 to 40 cents above that. Most travel trailers don't burn fuel directly, but your tow vehicle will see 9 to 13 MPG. Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 MPG and Class A coaches 6 to 10 MPG. For a typical 300-mile weekend loop from New Tripoli through the Poconos, budget roughly $90 to $140 in fuel for a Class C. Fill up in New Tripoli or Fogelsville before heading north, prices climb once you're deep in the Poconos. Pro tip: use GasBuddy to spot the cheapest stations along I-78 and US-22, the difference can be 30 cents a gallon.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far ahead should I book a campground near New Tripoli?
For peak summer weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, Musikfest in early August, Labor Day), book the best campgrounds near New Tripoli 2 to 4 months ahead. Allentown KOA and Blue Rocks Family Campground fill earliest. Pennsylvania State Parks like Hickory Run use the state reservation system and open bookings 12 months in advance, which is the smart play for holiday weekends. Private campgrounds book directly through their own websites or by phone. For shoulder-season trips in May, September, or October, two to three weeks out is usually fine. Pro tip: if you strike out on a Saturday, try a Thursday-to-Sunday booking instead, weekday arrivals open up sites that weekend-only campers cannot grab.
pennsylvaniastateparks.reserveamerica.com/What are the driving conditions like around New Tripoli?
Driving an RV around New Tripoli is genuinely manageable, even for newcomers. The town sits in Lynn Township along PA Route 143, with gently rolling farmland and the Blue Mountain ridge to the north. I-78 runs just south of town, giving you a wide, modern interstate for longer hauls. Watch for two specific things: the steep grade and tight curves on PA-309 climbing over Blue Mountain near the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary turnoff, and winter black ice from November through March on shaded ridge roads. Summer thunderstorms can roll through fast, so keep an eye on radar. Pro tip: avoid driving through downtown Allentown or Bethlehem in a big rig during weekday rush hour, stick to I-78 and PA-100 instead.

Allentown KOA offers full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, a heated pool, laundry, a camp store, and a dump station. Blue Rocks has electric and water sites plus a central dump. Hickory Run State Park provides electric sites, modern restrooms with hot showers, and a dump station near the campground entrance. Potable water fill stations are standard at all four major parks in the area. Cell service is reliable on Verizon and AT&T across most of Lehigh and Berks counties. Pro tip: top off fresh water and dump your tanks before leaving any campground, the next dump station in the Poconos can be 30+ miles away.

Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor speakers, and an awning. Wi-Fi hotspots and onboard generators are common add-ons. Listings spell out exactly what's included, so you'll know before you book. Pro tip: filter by sleeps count and bathroom type to match your group size, then read the amenities section carefully for must-haves like a generator.

visitpa.com/things-to-do/outdoor-adventureHow do payment and the security deposit work for a New Tripoli RV rental?
Payment is simple and entirely through RVezy, never cash to the host. You pay the trip total at booking (rental, fees, taxes, and your chosen protection package), and your card is charged securely on the platform. A refundable security deposit, separate from your booking payment and usually $500 to $1,500 depending on the rig, is pre-authorized (not charged) on your card before pickup and released after the trip assuming the RV is returned in the same condition. To avoid issues, take date-stamped photos at pickup and dropoff, follow the host's mileage and generator rules, and dump tanks if required. Pro tip: review the listing's house rules before you book so there are zero surprises and your deposit comes right back.
