Dalton's Jayco is the perfect option for a small family. There's plenty of sleeping options for the kids, and the tub is a great bonus for bath time. The camper is well maintained and everything was functional. Delivery and pick up to the site went smoothly. We're hoping it's available next year too!

This camper was really great. Eugene was a great host. From start to finish he was very easy to work with. Delivery is a great option as the camper beat us to the campground. Ryan (trailer owner) was very responsive when contacted, troubleshot the issue quickly, kept the communication during the rental period great, and was very flexible with delivery and pickup. I was very impressed with my rental experience with Ryan I would rent from him again

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in West Chester, PA
How much does it cost to rent an RV in West Chester, PA?
RV rental in West Chester is more affordable than you might expect, with travel trailers averaging around $125 to $175 per night and motorhomes around $200 to $275 per night on RVezy. Many hosts offer 10 to 20 percent weekly and monthly discounts, so a 7 day Chester County trip can be surprisingly budget friendly. For a cheap RV rental West Chester travelers love, look at travel trailers if you have a tow vehicle, or filter for older Class C motorhomes which often come in well under the average. Pro tip: book mid week and avoid Memorial Day, July 4th and fall foliage weekends for the best prices, since those dates fill up fast around the Brandywine Valley.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=West%20Chester%2C%20PennsylvaniaWhat license do I need to rent an RV in West Chester, PA?
Good news: your regular Pennsylvania driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in West Chester. There is no special RV endorsement or Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required for the Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, or travel trailers most guests book on RVezy. Visiting from out of state or abroad? A valid license from your home state or country works, and international guests should grab an International Driving Permit (IDP) from their local auto club before flying in. You will need to be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID through the platform during checkout, so the whole process takes just a few minutes.
dmv.pa.gov/Driver-Services/Driver-Licensing/Pages/default.aspxIs RV rental insurance and roadside assistance included for my West Chester trip?
Yes, every RV rental in West Chester, PA booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV, giving you peace of mind as you cruise Route 30 or the Pennsylvania Turnpike. You choose your coverage level at checkout (not the host), so you can scale up protection for a family RV trip in West Chester if you want extra reassurance. If you get a flat on Route 202 or a battery dies at French Creek State Park, one call to RVezy roadside assistance gets help dispatched, day or night.
rvezy.com/insurance-and-protectionWhat is the cancellation policy when I rent an RV in West Chester?
Booking is low risk because RVezy sets the cancellation policy, not individual hosts, and there is a money back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates with confidence. You will see the exact terms that apply to your booking during checkout and in your trip confirmation, so there are no surprises. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy provides a full refund or rebooking credit. Pro tip: book early to get the pick of Brandywine Valley listings, knowing your grace period has you covered if life shifts before your trip.

Many RVezy hosts will deliver the motorhome or travel trailer directly to your campground, like Philadelphia/West Chester KOA in Coatesville or Hidden Acres in Quarryville, set up the leveling jacks and slides, connect power and water, and give you a full walkthrough. Filter listings by Delivery on RVezy to see exactly who offers it and what they charge per mile. Pro tip: delivery turns a travel trailer rental into a turnkey cabin in the woods, no towing required.

dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/FrenchCreekStatePark/Pages/default.aspxWhen is the best time of year for an RV trip in West Chester?
West Chester shines from mid May through late October, with two especially magical windows. Late May and June bring 70s to low 80s, blooming Longwood Gardens, and lush Brandywine Valley landscapes. Mid September through late October delivers crisp fall foliage, apple picking, and Chadds Ford wine country at its best, with daytime highs in the 60s and 70s. July and August are warm and humid, with highs around 85 and afternoon thunderstorms, so target morning drives. Winters dip into the 20s and 30s with occasional snow, but a winterized RV can absolutely handle a cozy Brandywine getaway. Pro tip: book early October weekends 3 to 4 months ahead, they're the most popular of the year.
weather.gov/phi/I have never rented an RV before. Is West Chester a good place to start?
West Chester is one of the friendliest places in the country for first time renting an RV. The terrain is gentle rolling farmland, the campgrounds are close to home, and your host will walk you through every system at pickup, from leveling and slide outs to the water heater and dump valves. Most West Chester area hosts spend 30 to 60 minutes on orientation so you leave feeling confident. Start with a smaller Class C motorhome or a delivered travel trailer at a full hookup park like Philadelphia/West Chester KOA so you can focus on enjoying the trip, not towing. Pro tip: message the host with your experience level before booking, they will steer you to the right rig.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002714353-For-RentersWhat happens if I have a breakdown or issue during my West Chester RV trip?
You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance, so a flat tire on Route 30, a dead battery at Marsh Creek State Park, or a tow need on the PA Turnpike is one phone call away. Your host is also a direct text or call away through the RVezy app for quick questions like how to reset the inverter or relight the water heater. RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip if anything bigger comes up. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number to your phone before you leave the driveway, you will likely never need it, but you will be glad it is there.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my West Chester RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is welcome on most RVezy rentals from West Chester, which is fantastic because you are within easy reach of five states. Day trips and overnight loops to Delaware (Cape Henlopen, 90 miles), New Jersey (Cape May, 95 miles), Maryland (Assateague Island, 130 miles), New York (Catskills, 160 miles), and Washington DC (130 miles) are all popular. Cross border trips to Canada may be allowed depending on the host and the insurance terms, so confirm with your host before booking if Niagara Falls is on your list. Travel to Mexico is not covered or allowed on RVezy rentals. Pro tip: Assateague's wild ponies are an unforgettable weekend from West Chester.
nps.gov/asis/index.htmWhat fuel mileage should I expect and how do I budget for gas on a West Chester RV trip?
Budgeting for fuel is straightforward once you know your rig: Class B campervans get around 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A motorhomes run 6 to 10 MPG. Travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle, usually 10 to 14 MPG combined. Gas prices in Chester County typically run a few cents above the Pennsylvania state average, and diesel is widely available on Route 202 and Route 30. For a 300 mile Lancaster and Hershey loop in a Class C, plan on roughly $100 to $130 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Delaware on your way back if your route allows, it is one of the cheapest fuel states on the East Coast.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near West Chester?
For Pennsylvania state parks like French Creek and Marsh Creek, book through the PA State Parks reservation system as early as possible, since sites open 11 months ahead and summer weekends sell out fast. Private parks like Philadelphia/West Chester KOA and Sun Retreats Lancaster County typically need 2 to 3 months of lead time for peak summer and fall foliage weekends. For a spontaneous shoulder season trip in late April or early November, you can often score same week sites at full hookup parks. Pro tip: if July 4th, Labor Day, or mid October foliage weekends are your target, lock in your campsite first, then book your RVezy rental around it.
dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/Reservations/Pages/default.aspxWhat are the driving conditions like around West Chester for an RV?
Driving an RV around West Chester is very manageable, especially compared to bigger metros. The main routes, Route 202, Route 30 (Lincoln Highway), and Route 1, are wide, well maintained, and RV friendly. Avoid driving a large Class A through historic downtown West Chester's narrow Gay and Market Streets, and watch for low clearances on some older covered bridges in Chester County, which are clearly signed. The Pennsylvania Turnpike is a smooth ride to Lancaster or Pittsburgh. Winter can bring snow and ice from December through February, so check PennDOT's 511PA app before heading out. Pro tip: choose RV delivery West Chester to your campground if city driving makes you nervous, it's the stress free option.
511pa.com/What amenities do campgrounds near West Chester offer, and where can I dump and refill water?
Most private campgrounds near West Chester offer full hookups (water, 30/50 amp electric, sewer), hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, and dump stations. Philadelphia/West Chester KOA, Sun Retreats Lancaster County, and Country Acres Campground all have pools, camp stores, and propane refills. State parks like French Creek and Marsh Creek provide electric hookups and centralized water spigots, with dump stations near the exit but no individual sewer. Need to dump mid trip? Most private parks let non guests dump for a $10 to $20 fee, and RVDumpsites.net lists nearby options. Pro tip: top off your fresh tank before leaving any state park, the next reliable fill up may be 20 miles down the road.
dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/WhatToDo/Camping/Pages/default.aspxWhat features and amenities come with a typical RV rental in West Chester?
Your motorhome or travel trailer rental in West Chester will arrive ready to camp, with a queen or king bed, kitchen (fridge, stovetop, microwave, sink), bathroom with shower and toilet, dinette, air conditioning, furnace, and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Most Class C motorhomes sleep 4 to 6 and include a TV, and many hosts add Wi-Fi hotspots, generators, or solar packages. Campervan rentals in West Chester are perfect for couples chasing Brandywine wineries and Longwood Gardens, with compact kitchens and easier parking. Pro tip: check the listing amenity list for must haves like a backup camera, outdoor shower, or pet ramp, the filters on RVezy make it easy to narrow down.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=West%20Chester%2C%20PennsylvaniaWhat add-ons can I get and how do pickup and drop off work?
Hosts on RVezy offer popular add-ons that make your Chester County trip easier: linens and bedding packages ($30 to $75), kitchen kits, generators, bike racks, outdoor chairs and tables, and even pre stocked propane. Pickup usually happens at the host's home in or near West Chester, with a 30 to 60 minute walkthrough covering systems, slide outs, and dump procedures. Returns are typically by a set time with the holding tanks empty and fuel topped off, though many hosts offer a dump and fuel service for a flat fee. Mileage policies vary by listing, from 100 free miles per day to fully unlimited. Pro tip: bundle delivery plus a linen package for a true turnkey RV camping experience in West Chester.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=West%20Chester%2C%20PennsylvaniaHow does payment and the security deposit work when I rent an RV in West Chester?
Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy with a credit or debit card at booking, and your security deposit is placed as a hold (not a charge) on your card before pickup. Deposits typically range from $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV, and the hold is released after return assuming no damage or policy violations. To avoid any deposit issues, do a quick walkaround photo set at pickup and drop off, return with the same fuel level, and dump tanks if your agreement requires it. Pro tip: keep your pickup and return photos in your RVezy chat thread, it makes everything smooth.
