Diego was great!. Was my first time renting a traveling trailer and using the site. I was a little nervous to rent cause you dont know what will happen. I didnt calculate the correct size truck for the trailer. Diego was a problem solver and helped me solve my issue. He went out of his way to deliver the trailer to the campsite and pick it up when done. He did a lot more to accommodate the situation and went above and beyond to make this trip meaningful. I had two family members pass away last year, and extended family for the first time planned this camping trip together and it was very important we went and that I had a trailer for my family of 6. Diego made sure the trip went through and got the rental up there for us. Means a lot! I see why he is a super host and is just a great soul. Thanks Diego we will be renting from you again and again.

We had a wonderful time staying in this RV for our Lagoon trip. Everything was setup up beautifully when we arrived and felt very inviting - little details like nice decor and the outdoor setup with a large rug and nice camp chairs made a noticeable difference. The rv was very clean and all beds made meticulously (we have not had this experience with all rentals - oftentimes the bunks are not made and/or sheets not provided when we were told sheets included). Appreciate Lincoln being responsive but at the same time very laid back (not 100s of questions as we have had before, adding stress). Would definitely rent again!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Bountiful, UT

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Bountiful, UT?

An RV rental in Bountiful is one of the most affordable ways to explore northern Utah. On RVezy, you typically see travel trailers from around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes from $175 to $275, and larger Class A coaches from $250 to $400, depending on age, size, and season. What license do I need to rent an RV in Bountiful, UT?

Good news for first-time renters: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Bountiful. Utah does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for personal-use motorhomes or travel trailers under 26,000 pounds, which covers essentially every RV on RVezy. To qualify as an approved driver on RVezy, you generally need to be at least 25 years old and complete a quick ID verification at checkout. Visiting from outside the United States? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association and you are set for your Utah RV trip.

What is the cancellation policy if my Bountiful RV trip plans change?

You can book with confidence. RVezy applies a consistent cancellation policy across the platform rather than leaving it up to individual hosts, and it includes a money-back grace period right after booking so you are not locked in the moment you click confirm. After that window, refund eligibility depends on how far out from your pickup date you cancel. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds your payment or provides travel credits. If your plans shift, open your trip in your RVezy account and the support team will walk you through your options.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Bountiful?

Yes, plenty of hosts offer a pet-friendly RV rental in Bountiful. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when you search and you will see listings that welcome dogs, with some allowing cats too. Many hosts charge a small pet cleaning fee, which is disclosed up front in the listing. Once you are on the road, your pup will love Antelope Island State Park, where leashed dogs can explore the beaches and the Buffalo Point Trail, and the paved Legacy Parkway Trail in Bountiful is great for an evening walk. Can the RV be delivered to me in Bountiful?

Yes, RV delivery in Bountiful is one of the most popular options for first-time renters. Many local hosts will deliver and set up the RV at your campsite, your driveway, or a nearby trailhead, then walk you through every system, water, propane, slide-outs, and the awning, before they leave. This is a game-changer if you are nervous about towing through Salt Lake traffic or backing into a tight site at Antelope Island or East Canyon State Park. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy and message the host with your destination to get an exact delivery quote. Popular drop spots include Cherry Hill Camping Resort, Lagoon RV Park, and Willard Bay State Park.

Where are the best campgrounds near Bountiful, UT?

You are spoiled for choice. The best campgrounds near Bountiful sit within an hour of town and cover every style of camping. Bridger Bay Campground on Antelope Island State Park (about 30 minutes west) puts you on the Great Salt Lake with bison wandering nearby. Cherry Hill Camping Resort in Kaysville offers full hookups plus a waterpark, great for families. Lagoon RV Park and Campground in Farmington is steps from the amusement park. East Canyon State Park (about 50 minutes east) offers full-hookup sites that accommodate larger rigs. For a mountain night, Bountiful Peak Campground on the Wasatch crest is dry camping with a strict size limit, so it suits smaller campervans only.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Bountiful?

Late May through mid-October is the sweet spot for RV camping in Bountiful, with daytime highs ranging from the upper 60s in May to the low 90s in July and back into the 70s in September. June and September are local favorites for warm days, cool nights, smaller campground crowds, and full access to high-elevation spots like Bountiful Peak. Winter is doable too: Bountiful sits at the base of the Wasatch and is close to Snowbasin and about an hour from Park City ski resorts, so a winterized RV makes an excellent ski basecamp from December through March. July afternoon thunderstorms are common, so plan driving for the mornings.

I have never driven an RV. Is renting in Bountiful beginner-friendly?

You are in good hands. First time renting an RV in Bountiful is genuinely easy because every host on RVezy gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup, covering driving, leveling, hookups, dumping tanks, and the propane system. Bountiful's grid streets and easy I-15 access give you space to get comfortable before heading into the mountains. If you would rather skip the driving entirely, choose a delivery-ready listing and have the rig set up for you at the campground. Pick a Class C motorhome or a smaller travel trailer for your first trip, they drive much like a large pickup, and avoid Big Cottonwood and Little Cottonwood Canyons, where vehicle length and traction restrictions apply.

What happens if I break down during my Bountiful RV trip?

You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, towing, and mechanical breakdowns. One call connects you to a dispatcher who arranges service wherever you are, whether that is I-15 near Bountiful, the dirt roads up to Bountiful Peak, or somewhere out on US-89 heading to Bear Lake. Your host is also a quick message away through the RVezy app for RV-specific questions like resetting the inverter or relighting the water heater. Save the roadside number in your phone before you leave the driveway and you will be back on the road fast.

Can I take my Bountiful RV rental into other states or across the border?

Yes, road-tripping out of Utah is one of the best parts of renting here. Most RVezy hosts in Bountiful allow travel throughout the lower 48 states, so popular routes like Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Zion National Park, Las Vegas, and the Idaho Sawtooths are all on the table. Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed with host approval and added paperwork, so message the host before booking if that is your plan. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals due to insurance coverage limitations. The Utah-Wyoming-Idaho loop through Bear Lake and Jackson is a classic RV road trip from Bountiful.

What kind of fuel mileage should I budget for in Utah?

Easy to plan for. Most RVs out of Bountiful average 8 to 12 mpg, with Class B campervans hitting 16 to 20 mpg and large Class A coaches closer to 6 to 8 mpg. Utah gas prices typically run close to the national average, with diesel slightly higher than regular unleaded. You will find convenient fueling stops with RV-friendly pumps at Maverik and Flying J locations along I-15 in Centerville and Farmington just minutes from town. Budget tip: fill up in Bountiful before heading into the Uintas or southern Utah, where prices climb noticeably in small gateway towns like Kanab and Hanksville.

How far ahead should I book campgrounds near Bountiful?

The earlier the better. Utah state parks and federal campgrounds book up fast in summer. Antelope Island, East Canyon, and Willard Bay State Parks open reservations several months in advance through the Utah State Parks reservation system, and prime summer weekends fill within hours of the window opening. National forest sites near Bountiful go live on Recreation.gov on a rolling window ahead of arrival. Private parks like Cherry Hill, Lagoon RV Park, and Pony Express RV Resort in Salt Lake City usually open further in advance and are easier to grab last-minute. If you are set on a holiday weekend, set a calendar reminder for the day the booking window opens and reserve immediately.

What are the driving conditions like around Bountiful?

Mostly easy with a few things to know. Bountiful sits right on I-15, a wide, well-maintained interstate that connects you to Salt Lake City in about 15 minutes and Ogden in about 25, ideal for getting comfortable behind the wheel of your motorhome rental in Bountiful. The Wasatch Front sees sudden afternoon thunderstorms in July and August and significant snow from November through March, so a campervan rental in Bountiful in winter should be equipped with snow tires or chains. Avoid Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons in any RV over 30 feet, especially in winter when traction laws apply. US-89 north to Bear Lake includes a steady climb through Logan Canyon, beautiful, but downshift on the descent.
udot.utah.gov/

What amenities will I find at campgrounds around Bountiful?

You will find a great range, from full-service resorts to rustic mountain sites. Most private parks near Bountiful, including Cherry Hill, Lagoon RV Park, and Pony Express RV Resort, offer 30/50-amp electric, water, sewer, Wi-Fi, laundry, and hot showers. Utah State Park campgrounds at Antelope Island, East Canyon, and Willard Bay have a mix of full hookup, electric-only, and dry sites, plus dump stations and potable water fills for registered campers. For dumping and freshwater between trips, RV-friendly stations in Davis County along the I-15 corridor are convenient. Higher-elevation sites like Bountiful Peak are dry camping only with vault toilets and no hookups, so fill your fresh tank before climbing.

What is included inside a typical RV rental in Bountiful?

More than you might expect. Most RVs on RVezy in Bountiful come ready to camp. Standard features include a queen or king bed, dinette and sofa that convert to extra sleeping (rigs typically sleep 4 to 8), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a bathroom with toilet and shower, roof-mounted air conditioning, propane furnace, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many also include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and a generator or solar setup for off-grid nights at places like Antelope Island. Wi-Fi is sometimes available via the host's hotspot as an add-on, and Verizon and T-Mobile both have solid coverage across the Wasatch Front. Check the listing's amenities list before booking.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Bountiful%2C%20Utah

What add-ons and pickup options can I expect when I rent an RV in Bountiful?

Lots of flexibility. Hosts in Bountiful commonly offer add-ons like linen and kitchen kits, generators, camping chairs and tables, bike racks, BBQs, and pre-stocked propane and freshwater. Delivery and setup is the most popular add-on, typically priced per mile from the host's location, with a flat setup fee if they stay to level and connect. Pickup and drop-off is usually at the host's home in Bountiful or nearby Davis County, with check-in commonly in the afternoon and check-out by late morning. Each listing's mileage policy, including free miles included, overage rate, and any unlimited-mileage option, is shown right on the page before you book.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Bountiful%2C%20Utah

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

It is straightforward and fully online. When you book your RV rental in Bountiful, RVezy charges your card according to the published payment schedule, with no cash, checks, or handoffs with the host. A refundable security deposit (typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the RV and protection plan you choose) is held shortly before pickup and released after drop-off, assuming the RV comes back in the same condition. To avoid issues, take time-stamped photos and videos of the RV inside and out at pickup and drop-off, follow the host's fuel and tank-dumping instructions, and message any concerns through the RVezy app so everything is documented.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Can I rent an RV in Bountiful in winter for a ski trip?

Yes, and it is an underrated way to do a Utah ski trip. Bountiful sits roughly 30 to 60 minutes from Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, Park City, Deer Valley, and Solitude, so a winterized motorhome rental in Bountiful makes a great mobile basecamp. Look for listings labeled four-season or winter-ready with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbelly, and a propane furnace. Cherry Hill and Pony Express RV Resort stay open year-round with full hookups, where shore power keeps the rig warm without burning propane, and Park City RV Resort is about 35 minutes from the lifts. Ask the host about snow tires or chains, since Utah's traction law applies on canyon roads during storms.
