This was our first time renting an RV or camper van of any type. Clark made the experience great. Everything was on point and Clark went above and beyond. The van was very well appointed, comfortable, and reliable. The bed was very comfortable and Clark was quick to respond to any requests before and during the trip. He has a passion for his van and to be able to rent it was a pleasure.

Brandon was great to work with, very communicative. The RV was nice, we had 3 adults and 2 dogs and it had ample room. It was nice to have all the cooking utensils and pans, bowls, accessories we needed. We had the RV delivered and this was great, to load up and leave for our trip. Well worth it. Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in West Bountiful, UT
How much does it cost to rent an RV in West Bountiful, UT?
RV rental in West Bountiful is a great value compared to hotel stays around Salt Lake City. On RVezy, you'll typically find travel trailers from around $90 to $160 per night, Class C motorhomes between $175 and $300 per night, and luxury Class A rigs from about $250 to $450 per night. Cheap RV rental in West Bountiful is easiest to find midweek and during shoulder months like April or October, when Wasatch Front demand drops. To save more, filter by Instant Book, message the host about multi-night discounts, and consider a travel trailer if you already have a capable tow vehicle. Booking 2 to 3 months ahead of summer or ski season locks in the best rates.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=West%20Bountiful%2C%20UtahWhat license do I need to rent an RV in West Bountiful?
Good news: a standard Class D driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Utah, no Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement required for personal-use motorhomes or trailers, per Utah Code 53-3-102. You'll need to be 25 or older to book on RVezy, and you'll verify your ID right inside your account before pickup, so there's no paperwork at the curb. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP), which most auto associations issue in a day for under $25. That's it, you're cleared to roll out toward the Wasatch.
dld.utah.gov/Is my RV rental in West Bountiful protected if something goes wrong?
Yes, every RV rental in West Bountiful booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit I-15 with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose your coverage level (Basic, Standard, or Premium) right in the booking flow, not the host. Roadside help is built in for flat tires, lockouts, jump starts, and towing, whether you're parked at Antelope Island State Park or climbing Parleys Canyon. It is purpose-built for peer-to-peer RV trips, which is why first-time renters love it. You can review what each tier includes before you book to pick the right fit for your trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my West Bountiful RV trip?
Booking is low risk: RVezy applies a standard cancellation policy to every rental, so you don't have to decode different host rules. There's a money-back grace period right after you book, and additional refund tiers based on how far out you cancel. Because RVezy, not the individual host, manages the cancellation policy, you'll get consistent, fair treatment whether you booked a campervan or a Class A. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds your booking or helps you rebook. Plan with confidence, and if your dates shift, message your host early, many are happy to help you reschedule a Utah RV trip rather than cancel.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a West Bountiful RV rental?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in West Bountiful is easy to find on RVezy, just tick the Pet-Friendly filter and you'll see rigs whose owners welcome dogs (and sometimes cats). Many hosts charge a small pet cleaning fee, which is shown upfront on the listing. Once you're on the road, your pup will love the off-leash areas at Mueller Park Trailhead just east of town, the lakeside trails at Antelope Island State Park (leashed), and the dog-friendly Legacy Parkway Trail running right past West Bountiful. Pro tip: pack a collapsible water bowl, summer pavement near the Great Salt Lake can hit 130°F by midafternoon.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/antelope-island/Can the RV be delivered to my campground or driveway?
Yes, RV delivery in West Bountiful is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-time renters. Use the Delivery filter and you'll see hosts who will tow or drive the RV to your address, a local campground like Cherry Hill in Kaysville, or even directly to Antelope Island Campground. Your host will level the rig, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system, from the furnace to the black tank, before handing over the keys. Delivery fees usually run $2 to $5 per mile round trip from the host's location. It's the easiest way to skip driving a big rig through Salt Lake traffic on day one.

stateparks.utah.gov/parks/antelope-island/camping/When is the best time of year for an RV trip from West Bountiful?
West Bountiful's high-desert valley climate gives you three terrific RV seasons. Late April through June is gorgeous, wildflowers on Antelope Island, snow-capped Wasatch peaks, and daytime highs of 60 to 80°F. September and October bring crisp air, golden aspens up Big Cottonwood Canyon, and fewer crowds, ideal for shoulder-season savings. July and August are hot (highs 90 to 100°F) but perfect for early-morning hikes and lake days. Winter RV camping in West Bountiful is doable too, you'll want a four-season RV with heated tanks if you're chasing powder at nearby Snowbasin or Powder Mountain. Pro tip: book April or October dates 6 to 8 weeks out for the best rate-to-weather ratio.
weather.gov/slc/I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?
You're going to do great, first time renting an RV is easier than people expect, and RVezy is built around making it stress-free. Every host gives you an in-person walkthrough at pickup (or delivery), covering propane, water hookups, slide-outs, the generator, and dump procedures, usually 30 to 60 minutes. They'll share a phone number for trip-long questions, and RVezy customer support is available 24/7 if you need backup. Most West Bountiful first-timers start with a Class C motorhome or a 22 to 26-foot travel trailer, both drive close to a large SUV. Bonus: I-15 and Legacy Parkway out of West Bountiful are wide, flat, and forgiving, perfect for your first few miles behind the wheel.
udot.utah.gov/connect/public/driver-resources/What happens if I break down during my trip?
You're covered, 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every RVezy booking, so help is one call away whether you're parked on Main Street in West Bountiful or off the grid near Flaming Gorge. The service handles flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing to the nearest qualified repair shop. Your host is your second line of support and usually knows their RV's quirks better than anyone, so message them first for small questions like resetting the inverter. For anything bigger, RVezy's support team coordinates repairs and, when needed, alternative arrangements. Pro tip: snap a photo of the roadside assistance number from your booking and tape it to the dash before you leave.
udot.utah.gov/connect/public/road-weather-conditions/Can I take my West Bountiful RV rental into Idaho, Wyoming, or Nevada?
Yes, multi-state RV road trips from West Bountiful are popular and generally allowed. RVezy protection applies throughout the continental United States, so Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Bear Lake, Jackson Hole, and Great Basin are all on the table. Confirm your route with your host through RVezy messaging before booking, especially for long-haul trips, since some hosts cap total mileage. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. If you're planning to head into Canada, message the host first, cross-border trips can be approved case by case. Popular runs: Jackson, WY (about 290 miles), Yellowstone West (about 320 miles), Sun Valley, ID (about 315 miles).
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow much should I budget for fuel on a Utah RV trip?
Fuel is the biggest variable cost, but it's easy to estimate. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes 8 to 12 MPG, Class A rigs 6 to 10 MPG, and a half-ton truck pulling a travel trailer roughly 10 to 13 MPG. Utah gas prices typically run a bit above the national average; recent prices around West Bountiful have been about $3.30 to $3.80 per gallon for regular. For a 4-night loop to Moab and back (about 470 miles) in a Class C, plan on roughly $150 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: Costco and Maverik in Bountiful and Centerville are reliably the cheapest fill-ups before you hit I-15.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book campgrounds near West Bountiful?
Book early and your Utah RV trip gets a lot smoother. Utah State Parks (including Antelope Island and Jordanelle) open reservations about 4 months in advance through the Utah State Parks reservation system, and prime summer weekends often fill the day they open. National Park campgrounds at Arches, Zion, and Bryce open 6 months out on Recreation.gov, set a calendar alert. Private parks like Cherry Hill and Lagoon RV Park take bookings 6 to 12 months ahead, and Salt Lake KOA fills fast during major Salt Lake conventions. Pro tip: midweek arrivals (Sunday to Wednesday) almost always have openings, even in July, and the Antelope Island causeway is breathtaking on a quiet Tuesday morning.
recreation.gov/What are the driving conditions like around West Bountiful?
Driving an RV around West Bountiful is friendlier than most metro areas, you're right off I-15 and Legacy Parkway, both wide, well-maintained, and easy in a big rig. Watch for afternoon canyon winds west of the Great Salt Lake (gusts can hit 40+ mph), summer thunderstorms with brief downpours, and lake-effect snow December through March that can close I-80 over Parleys Summit. Avoid driving tall RVs into Salt Lake City's older neighborhoods like the Avenues, where streets are narrow and parking is tight, stick to I-15, I-215, and Bangerter Highway. Pro tip: check UDOT's free road-weather camera page before any canyon trip, it's saved many travelers from a snowy surprise.
udottraffic.utah.gov/What amenities should I expect at local campgrounds?
Campgrounds near West Bountiful range from full-resort to rustic, so you can match your rig and comfort level. Cherry Hill, Lagoon RV Park, and Pony Express offer full hookups (30/50-amp power, water, sewer), Wi-Fi, laundry, and dump stations on site. State park campgrounds like Antelope Island Bridger Bay have water fill stations and dump stations but only partial or no hookups at sites, bring a generator or solar for longer stays. Forest Service spots like Bountiful Peak are dry camping (no hookups), so you'll rely on your fresh tank. Free dump stations are available at Maverik in Centerville and at most Utah State Parks. Pro tip: fill fresh water before leaving West Bountiful, Wasatch tap water is excellent.
stateparks.utah.gov/What's actually inside the RVs I'll find in West Bountiful?
You'll be impressed, RV camping in West Bountiful means rolling out in a fully equipped home on wheels. Expect a queen or king bed, convertible dinette, full kitchen (fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, air conditioning, furnace, and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Most Class C and Class A motorhome rentals in West Bountiful sleep 4 to 7, include an onboard generator for off-grid power, and have a flat-screen TV; many also offer mobile Wi-Fi hotspots and outdoor speakers. Travel trailers and fifth wheels typically have more living space for the price. Pro tip: filter listings by your exact sleeps count and check the photos for a generator icon if you're planning to boondock on Antelope Island.
gorving.com/tips-inspiration/rv-basics/types-of-rvsWhat add-ons and pickup options should I know about for an RV rental in West Bountiful?
Hosts in West Bountiful offer add-ons that can transform your trip. Common ones include linen and kitchen packages ($35 to $75), camp chairs and outdoor tables, generators, bike racks, propane fire pits, and Starlink or hotspot Wi-Fi. Delivery and setup is the most popular add-on, especially for first-timers headed to Antelope Island or Cherry Hill. Standard pickup is usually a 30 to 60-minute walkthrough at the host's location in West Bountiful or nearby Bountiful or Centerville. Mileage packages typically run 100 to 150 free miles per night, with bundles for longer trips, and a few hosts offer unlimited mileage. Pro tip: bundling delivery plus a linen package often costs less than buying everything separately at the last minute.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=West%20Bountiful%2C%20UtahHow do payment and the security deposit work for an RV rental in West Bountiful?
Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy with a credit or debit card at booking, never directly to the host, which protects both sides. A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the rig) is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, and it's released after your trip once the host confirms the RV came back in good shape with tanks emptied and fuel topped off as agreed. To avoid any deposit hiccups: do a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff, return on time, refill propane and fuel per the listing, and use the dump station before heading back. Easy money saved.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksIs winter RV camping near West Bountiful actually doable?
Yes, and it's an underrated adventure. West Bountiful sits 20 to 45 minutes from world-class skiing at Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, Solitude, and Brighton, so winter RV rental in Utah lets you ski by day and sleep slope-adjacent for a fraction of lodge prices. Filter RVezy for four-season RVs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and dual-pane windows, and message hosts to confirm they allow winter rentals (some do not December through February). Plan to stay at parks with full shore power like Pony Express RV Resort or Mountain Shadows, since dry-camping in subfreezing temps drains batteries fast. Pro tip: carry tire chains, UDOT requires them on certain canyon roads during storms, and your host can show you how to install them.
