This was my first time renting a camper van for my extended camping trip. This was just what I needed and was very easy to maintain. I loved that Stephanie took the time to add solar panels so the power inside the van could be used without turning it on. I got multiple compliments on how nice it was and gladly spread the word on how to go about renting it. I will definitely use this again!

We had a fantastic experience renting the RV from Joshua! From the moment we picked it up, everything was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The RV was incredibly comfortable — both while driving and when parked for the night. The ride was smooth, and the layout inside made it easy to relax and enjoy our trip. You can tell Joshua takes great care of the RV, and he was a helpful and responsive host throughout the process. Highly recommend renting from him if you're looking for a reliable, clean, and comfortable RV experience!

The unit was as described, exactly what we needed. The communication and responsiveness of Herbert, was wonderful. We had difficulty lighting the oven lit and he was able to walk us through it over the phone immediately when we called. The trailer was delivered on time and they walked us through the unit. Thank you Herbert and crew for a great experience.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Laurel, VA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Laurel, Virginia?

An RV rental in Laurel is one of the most affordable ways to explore central Virginia. Travel trailers typically start around $95 to $160 per night, while Class C motorhomes generally range from $185 to $285 per night, and larger Class A motorhomes can run higher. Since Laurel sits just north of Richmond in Henrico County, you have access to a wide selection of RVs at prices that often beat hotel stays. To find a cheap RV rental in Laurel, book midweek, target shoulder seasons like March or October, and consider a travel trailer, which is usually the most budget-friendly option. Bundling delivery to a nearby park like Pocahontas State Park can also save fuel compared to driving the RV yourself.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Laurel, Virginia?

A standard driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Laurel, Virginia. The Virginia DMV does not require a Commercial Driver's License or special endorsement for personal-use recreational vehicles, including larger Class A motorhomes. On RVezy, approved drivers are generally 25 or older with a valid license, and your ID is verified through the platform during booking. Visiting from another country? Bring your home license along with an International Driving Permit and you are ready to go. Most first-time renters in the Richmond area are surprised at how simple the process really is.

Is RV rental insurance and roadside assistance included?

Yes, every RV rental in Laurel booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the road with real peace of mind. You choose your preferred level of protection during checkout, which gives you control over your coverage rather than relying on host-set terms. The protection plan helps cover damage to the RV during your trip, and roadside assistance is included with every plan. If you get a flat tire on I-95 heading toward Richmond or need a battery jump at your campsite, one call gets help dispatched. That kind of built-in support makes a Laurel RV trip stress-free from day one.

What is the cancellation policy if my plans change?

RVezy applies a clear, traveler-friendly cancellation policy to every booking, including a grace period shortly after you reserve. Hosts do not set their own cancellation rules, so the policy you see at checkout is the one that protects you. The exact refund depends on how far in advance you cancel, and certain emergencies have additional protections. If a host cancels, guests receive a refund or credit. That means booking your Laurel RV trip early to lock in the best RVs is genuinely low-risk. Reserve as soon as your dates are set, since top-rated motorhomes near Richmond book quickly for summer weekends and fall foliage trips.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Laurel?

Yes, a pet-friendly RV rental in Laurel is just a filter click away on RVezy. Many local hosts welcome dogs, and some welcome cats too, so use the Pet-Friendly filter when browsing and message the host to confirm any details about their specific RV. Laurel is a great base for traveling with pets: Deep Run Park in Henrico County has shaded trails, and Pocahontas State Park, about 30 minutes south, allows leashed dogs on its extensive trail system and at most campsites. Pack a tie-out, a collapsible water bowl, and waste bags. Virginia summers can be humid, so plan walks for early morning or evening to keep your dog comfortable.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite or home in Laurel?

Yes, RV delivery in Laurel is one of the most popular options for first-time renters and locals alike. Many RVezy hosts in the Richmond and Henrico area will drive the RV directly to your campsite, driveway, or event location, level it, connect power and water, and walk you through every system before they leave. That means no nervous highway driving on I-95 or I-295 for you. Delivery is especially handy for trips to Pocahontas State Park, Lake Anna State Park, or Bear Creek Lake State Park, since the host handles all the setup. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy and confirm the delivery distance and fee with your host before booking.
