Far and away a better experience than we could have hoped for. Sassy was the PERFECT RV for us. Very clean, adequate space (2 adults and a dog), well stocked with useful items and just all around fantastic. We traveled from CT to West Virginia, the trip just wouldn't have been the same without such comfortable accommodations. The couple was informative and incredibly flexible and accommodating with our unique schedule. We truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. We're already beginning to plan our next trip with Sassy. Thanks so much!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Perfect Land Yacht! (Comfy quarters with none of the seasickness) Megan & Owen's was the RV we didn't know we needed! It was a great home away from home and made us the envy of our camping neighbors (especially when the rain showed up).  It was spacious and comfortable. There was good water pressure and temperature in the shower. The generator worked perfectly, keeping the trailer cool and the refrigerator cold!  The ambient lighting inside and out, along with the outdoor rug added a nice touch. The awning was perfect for us to sit outside and avoid the direct sun...and rain. The indoor/outdoor Bluetooth speakers were also nice. The convenience of control panels (for the lighting, awning, water, climate control and Bluetooth) were high tech enough for sophistication but low tech enough for us to manage. The RV was well-stocked with the necessities -- towels, linens,  dishes, soaps (bathroom and kitchen), toilet paper and even a fan -- lending to the feel of home. We didn't use the outdoor grill THIS time but look forward to using it next time. Owen was a great host and the booking process was seamless and straightforward, with clear communication and helpful tips provided every step of the way. He was very attentive to our questions before, during and after the rental. He dropped off the trailer, set everything up for us and picked it up promptly at our check out time. I can’t recommend this RV rental enough. If you're a seasoned camper or trying RVing for the first time, this is the way to go. We’re already planning our next trip!

This was our first time renting an RV. Bert and Spencer made the process seamless and easy. They were extremely flexible with pick-up and drop-off, went over the full operation of the RV, and made us feel comfortable and confident. The description, booking booking process, pick-up and return went perfectly. We will definitely be renting this RV again.

Booking your Woodstock, VA RV trip is low risk because RVezy (not the host) sets the cancellation policy, and refund amounts depend on how far in advance you cancel relative to your trip start. I've never driven an RV before. Is renting in Woodstock beginner-friendly?

You're going to do great, Woodstock is one of the easier places in Virginia to start your first time renting an RV. Interstate 81 runs right past town with wide lanes and easy on/off ramps, and most campgrounds sit on flat valley roads rather than the tight switchbacks you'd find further west. Every RVezy host provides a thorough walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, dumping tanks, and propane, so you're never figuring it out alone. Nervous about size? Start with a Class C motorhome or a smaller travel trailer under 25 feet. Pro tip: skip Skyline Drive on day one and take a practice loop on US 11 (the Old Valley Pike) through Edinburg and Mount Jackson to build confidence before any mountain driving.

You are never stranded. Every motorhome rental Woodstock booking on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering things like tire issues, lockouts, battery jumps, and towing if needed. You can also message your host directly through the RVezy app for quick questions about quirks specific to their rig. Pro tip: snap a photo of the RV's VIN and propane tank labels at pickup, it speeds up any service call dramatically.

For the most popular spots, book early, but you've still got plenty of last-minute options. Virginia State Parks like Shenandoah River State Park open bookings 11 months out at ReserveVAParks.com. Private campgrounds like Creekside in Edinburg and Low Water Bridge usually have weekday availability 2 to 4 weeks out. Skyline Drive inside Shenandoah National Park has a strict 35 mph speed limit, no commercial vehicle traffic, and a 12 foot 8 inch tunnel clearance at Marys Rock Tunnel (mile 32.4) you should know about if you're driving a tall Class A. Watch for deer crossings at dawn and dusk year-round, and check VDOT 511 for winter ice advisories from December through February. Pro tip: if you're towing a fifth wheel, take US 211 over Thornton Gap rather than the steeper US 33 at Swift Run Gap, the grade is friendlier.

Inside Shenandoah National Park, Mathews Arm and Lewis Mountain are dry camping (no hookups) but have potable water spigots and dump stations near the entrance. How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure. When you book your RV rental Virginia adventure through RVezy, you pay the full trip cost (rental, protection, taxes, and any add-ons) via credit card through the platform, never directly to the host. A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the rig) is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, not actually charged, and released after your trip if everything comes back in good shape. To avoid any issues, do a thorough video walkaround with your host at both pickup and drop-off, return the RV with the agreed fuel and propane levels, and dump the tanks if your rental requires it. Pro tip: keep gas station receipts to show fuel was topped off.

Where can I park or stay overnight in an RV in Woodstock, VA?

Knowing where to park an RV in Woodstock makes trip planning easy. Virginia rest areas along Interstate 81 do not allow overnight RV sleeping, so plan to land at a real campground each night. Excellent nearby options include Creekside Campground in Edinburg (5 miles), Low Water Bridge Campground in Mount Jackson (10 miles), Shenandoah River State Park (25 miles), and dispersed camping is free at Little Fort Campground in George Washington National Forest (about 12 miles east via Fort Valley Road), where primitive sites are first-come, first-served. In-town parking on residential streets is restricted, so plan to overnight at a campground or arrange driveway parking with your host. Pro tip: Little Fort fills fast on summer weekends, arrive Thursday for the best site.
