2025 Other Class B
First time using the app and staying in a Class B, and we absolutely loved it. The app was super easy to use, which made the whole process smooth from start to finish. Linda went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her van is beautiful, clean, and fully stocked with all the amenities, you can tell she really cares about the experience. We stayed at Sebring for the 12-hour race from Friday to Sunday, and it couldn’t have worked out better. We opted for pick-up and delivery, and Linda was extremely communicative the entire time, making coordination effortless. Everything was exactly as described (if not better), and the whole experience exceeded expectations. Highly recommend booking with Linda, especially if it’s your first time. We’ll definitely be doing this again.

Morgan has not only a pristine RV, but also has great, friendly, helpful customer service. Morgan is meticulous in maintaining his coach, which was fully stocked with anything a camper may want, and without extra expense. His orientation was most helpful and was also available online for quick reference to any questions or instructions on the coach's systems. I will definitely rent from Morgan again..

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Arcadia, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Arcadia, FL?

An RV rental in Arcadia is one of the most affordable ways to experience inland Southwest Florida. On RVezy, you'll typically find travel trailers starting around $90 to $150 per night, campervans and Class C motorhomes in the $150 to $250 range, and larger Class A coaches from $250 and up. Because Arcadia sits in DeSoto County rather than on the pricier Gulf Coast, nightly rates often run lower than nearby Sarasota or Punta Gorda. For a cheap RV rental in Arcadia, book mid-week, travel during late spring or early fall shoulder season, and filter for Instant Book listings. Pro tip: bundling delivery with a longer stay at Peace River Campground often unlocks weekly discounts.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Arcadia, FL?

Good news for first-time renters: a regular Class E Florida driver's license (or your home state/country equivalent) is all you need to rent an RV in Arcadia. Florida does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for recreational vehicles under 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), which covers virtually every Class B campervan, Class C motorhome, travel trailer, and fifth wheel on RVezy. You'll need to be at least 25 years old to book, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform during checkout. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home auto club before your trip. That's it, you're cleared to hit Highway 17 and the Peace River.

What protection is included with my Arcadia RV rental?

You're covered from the moment you book. Every RV rental in Arcadia through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can drive across DeSoto County and beyond with real peace of mind. The protection plan helps cover damage to the vehicle during your trip, giving you a financial safety net while you're paddling the Peace River or parked at Cross Creek RV Resort. During checkout, you choose the protection level that best fits your trip. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos at pickup and drop-off, your host will walk you through this during the orientation.

What if my Arcadia RV trip plans change, can I cancel?

Booking is low-risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and it includes a grace period after booking during which you can cancel for a full refund. After that, refund eligibility depends on how far out from your trip you cancel, with added considerations for events like natural disasters, which matter in Florida during hurricane season (June through November). You don't need to dig through individual Arcadia listings for cancellation details, the same RVezy-wide policy applies to every booking. Pro tip: if a tropical storm is forecast near Charlotte Harbor, reach out to RVezy support early so they can walk you through your options before your DeSoto County trip.

Can I bring my dog on an Arcadia RV trip?

Yes, plenty of hosts offer pet-friendly RV rental in Arcadia, FL, just flip on the Pet-Friendly filter when you search. Arcadia is a dog-lover's dream because so much of the fun happens outdoors. Morgan Park on West Hickory Street welcomes leashed pups along its riverside trails, Brownville Park has shaded picnic spots along the Peace River, and Peace River Campground specifically markets itself as kid- and dog-friendly with campfire-allowed sites. Most pet-friendly hosts ask that you keep pets off the furniture and clean up before drop-off. Pro tip: pack a microfiber towel for sandy paws after a Peace River paddle, and your host will love the extra care.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Arcadia?

Yes, RV delivery in Arcadia is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers. Many hosts will tow or drive the RV directly to your campsite at Peace River Campground, Cross Creek RV Resort, Riverside RV Resort on SW County Road 769, or even to a private property along Highway 70. They'll level it, hook up water and 30/50-amp power, deploy the slide-outs, and walk you through every system before they leave. To find these listings, toggle the Delivery filter, then message the host with your campground address so they can quote the delivery fee. Pro tip: delivery is a game-changer if you're flying into Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), about 35 minutes south, since you can skip driving a big rig on day one.

Where are the best campgrounds near Arcadia?

You're spoiled for choice. The best campgrounds near Arcadia all sit along or near the Peace River. Peace River Campground (2998 NW Highway 70) is family-owned, with 160 acres, a mile of riverfront, fossil hunts, and tubing. Cross Creek RV Resort is one of only a handful of Florida parks to earn Good Sam's 10/10/10 rating, with oversized 38 by 75-foot sites built for big rigs. Riverside RV Resort on SW County Road 769 offers waterfront sites, a pool, and a boat launch. Brownville Park, a 75-acre DeSoto County park, has rustic riverfront sites with a boat ramp. Southern Sands is a polished 55+ resort south of town. Pro tip: book Peace River Campground 3 to 6 months ahead for rodeo weekends in March.

When is the best time to visit Arcadia in an RV?

The sweet spot for RV camping in Arcadia is November through April, when daytime highs sit comfortably in the 70s to low 80s°F and humidity drops dramatically. January is the coolest month with highs around 70°F and lows in the low 50s°F, ideal for campfires at Peace River Campground without sweating. March is peak season thanks to the Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo, the oldest rodeo in Florida. Summer (June through September) brings highs near 90°F, daily thunderstorms, and hurricane-season caution, but rates drop and rivers run higher. Pro tip: shoulder months like late October and early May give you Florida sunshine, lower prices, and easier campground availability for your Arcadia RV trip.

I've never rented an RV before, will I be okay in Arcadia?

You're going to do great, Arcadia is genuinely one of the easiest places in Florida for first time renting an RV. Roads are flat, traffic is light outside of rodeo weekends, and Highway 17 and Highway 70 are wide and easy to navigate. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup covering propane, slide-outs, the water pump, the generator, holding tanks, and the dashboard, no guesswork required. You can also message your host anytime during the trip with questions. If you want to remove driving stress entirely, book a host who offers delivery and setup directly to Peace River Campground. Pro tip: take a 15-minute test drive around the host's neighborhood before heading out, your confidence will jump fast.

What happens if my RV breaks down near Arcadia?

You're never on your own. Every RVezy booking in Arcadia includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering common issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing. If something goes wrong on Highway 70 heading to Myakka River State Park or on Highway 17 between Arcadia and Punta Gorda, you call the roadside number, they dispatch help, and they coordinate with your host. RVezy's support team is also available before, during, and after every trip if you need a hand. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number to your phone before leaving the host's driveway, and snap a photo of the RV's license plate and VIN so you can share details quickly.

What kind of fuel mileage should I budget for in Arcadia?

Easy to plan for. Most motorhome rentals in Arcadia average 8 to 12 miles per gallon (MPG) for Class C, around 7 to 10 MPG for Class A, and 18 to 22 MPG for a campervan rental in Arcadia. Travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle but expect 10 to 14 MPG combined. Florida gas prices typically run a bit below the national average, and you'll find fuel stations along Highway 17 in town, plus a Wawa and several truck-friendly stops near the Highway 70/I-75 corridor in Punta Gorda. For a 4-day Arcadia loop covering 300 miles in a Class C, budget roughly $100 to $130 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Arcadia before heading into the Everglades, prices climb the deeper you go.

How far ahead should I book a campground near Arcadia?

Plan smart and you'll get the site you want. For winter snowbird season (December through March) and especially the Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo weekend in early March, book 4 to 6 months out at Peace River Campground, Cross Creek RV Resort, and Riverside RV Resort. For summer and early fall, 2 to 4 weeks is usually enough. Florida State Parks like nearby Myakka River and Oscar Scherer open reservations 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica, and waterfront sites can disappear within minutes. DeSoto County parks like Brownville Park take reservations directly by phone. Pro tip: if you strike out on a holiday weekend, ask your RVezy host about parking in their driveway, many will accommodate for a small fee.
