2025 Other Class B
First time using the app and staying in a Class B, and we absolutely loved it. The app was super easy to use, which made the whole process smooth from start to finish. Linda went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her van is beautiful, clean, and fully stocked with all the amenities, you can tell she really cares about the experience. We stayed at Sebring for the 12-hour race from Friday to Sunday, and it couldn’t have worked out better. We opted for pick-up and delivery, and Linda was extremely communicative the entire time, making coordination effortless. Everything was exactly as described (if not better), and the whole experience exceeded expectations. Highly recommend booking with Linda, especially if it’s your first time. We’ll definitely be doing this again.

Morgan has not only a pristine RV, but also has great, friendly, helpful customer service. Morgan is meticulous in maintaining his coach, which was fully stocked with anything a camper may want, and without extra expense. His orientation was most helpful and was also available online for quick reference to any questions or instructions on the coach's systems. I will definitely rent from Morgan again..

Delivery fees usually run $2 to $4 per mile round trip, and some hosts include free delivery within 15 to 20 miles. I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving one around Avon Park?

You've got this, and Avon Park is genuinely one of the easier places in Florida to learn. US-27 is a wide, flat, straight four-lane highway that runs right through town, and the surrounding back roads to Lake Placid, Frostproof, and Sebring have light traffic compared to Tampa or Orlando. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup covering driving, hookups, the awning, slide-outs, and dumping tanks, so you're never left guessing. First time renting an RV? Choose a Class C motorhome or smaller travel trailer for easier handling. Pro tip: practice a few right turns in the South Florida State College parking lot before hitting the highway.

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?

You are never stranded. Every RV rental in Avon Park, FL includes 24/7 roadside assistance with the RVezy protection plan, covering flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing. If the AC quits during a hot August afternoon or the slide-out will not retract at Highlands Hammock, one call gets help on the way. Your host is also typically just a text away, and many Avon Park owners live within 20 minutes of where you will be camping. RVezy support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: snap photos of the RV at pickup and save your host's number and the roadside line in your phone before leaving town.

Can I take my Avon Park RV rental out of state or to Canada?

Yes, most Avon Park hosts welcome multi-state RV road trips, with popular routes heading north to Georgia's Okefenokee Swamp, west through the Florida Panhandle, or up the Atlantic coast toward the Carolinas. Some hosts even allow longer cross-border trips into Canada, which depends on the insurance coverage and host approval. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Always message the host directly from the listing before booking to confirm out-of-state or cross-border plans. Pro tip: if you're planning a long northbound route from Avon Park, ask about a higher free-mileage package upfront to save money over per-mile overage fees.

What kind of fuel mileage should I budget for in Avon Park?

Realistic numbers help you plan. Class C motorhomes around Avon Park average 8 to 10 miles per gallon (mpg) on flat US-27, Class A motorhomes get 6 to 9 mpg, campervans (Class B) often hit 16 to 20 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10 to 14 mpg combined). Florida gas prices hover around the national average, and Avon Park has multiple gas stations along US-27 including a Wawa, Circle K, and a 7-Eleven with easy big-rig access. Pro tip: fuel up in Avon Park or Sebring before heading to Highlands Hammock or Lake Wales, as smaller back-road stations often cost 20 to 40 cents more per gallon.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Avon Park?

For winter snowbird season (December through March), reserve Highlands Hammock State Park 11 months out the morning reservations open through Florida State Parks, because sites can sell out within minutes. Private parks like Adelaide Shores and Bonnet Lake often fill up 6 to 9 months ahead for January through March. For shoulder seasons (October-November and April-May), 2 to 4 weeks usually works, and summer is wide open with frequent last-minute availability. Pro tip: if Highlands Hammock is fully booked, set a cancellation alert and check nearby county and private parks. Many Avon Park RVezy hosts can also recommend lesser-known options nearby with availability.

What are driving conditions like around Avon Park?

Driving conditions around Avon Park are about as friendly as Florida gets. The terrain is flat, US-27 (the main north-south artery) is a wide divided four-lane highway, and traffic is light outside of the Sebring International Raceway 12 Hours event each March. Watch out for sudden afternoon summer thunderstorms (June-September), which can drop visibility fast, and slow down for the occasional sandhill crane crossing rural roads. Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30, so monitor the National Hurricane Center if traveling then. Pro tip: avoid driving US-27 through Sebring during raceway week unless you're attending, traffic backs up for miles and many lots near the track have height restrictions.

What amenities do campgrounds near Avon Park typically offer?

Local campgrounds are well-equipped for RV travelers. Need to dump tanks mid-trip? Most private parks allow paid dump access even if you're not staying. Fill fresh water at the state park entrance or any private resort office. Pro tip: cell service is solid on Verizon and AT&T at most local campgrounds, but Wi-Fi inside Highlands Hammock is non-existent, plan accordingly.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure. You pay through RVezy directly (no cash or off-platform transfers) with a major credit or debit card at booking, and the host receives funds after pickup, so your money stays protected if anything changes. Your security deposit is a separate temporary hold on your card, typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the RV, and it is released a few days after a damage-free return. Choose your protection plan level at checkout to set how the deposit interacts with any incidentals. Pro tip: do a thorough time-stamped video walkaround at pickup and dropoff in Avon Park, it is the easiest way to ensure your full deposit comes back quickly.
