This was our first time renting a camper. Great experience from start to finish. Larisa was a wonderful hostess! Quickly responsive. Right on time for delivery and pick- up. Her camper was extremely accommodating. We were 2 adults with 3 grown teens and NEVER felt cramped. Beds, linens, towels were super super comfy. I wouldn't think twice about renting again! My wife and I are thinking of buying an RV and decided to rent one and see if it was a good fit. What a stroke of luck it was finding Kerri and her rental unit. It was perfect for the two of us. We didn't need to pack anything but our tooth brushes. This camper had everything you needed from chairs to games to a completely stocked bathroom with anything you would need to refresh. It was exactly what a couple of novice campers needed. You will not be disappointed renting this unit. Kerri deserves 5 stars.

Our family greatly enjoyed traveling across Florida and back in this spacious, comfortable RV. The owners provided a PDF of the user manual and made themselves available for questions which helped a lot considering this was my first time renting a motor home. It was a very enjoyable experience so we’re looking forward to another RV rental in the future :)

What license do I need to rent an RV in Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace?

You're covered with just a regular driver's license. Florida does not require a special RV license or Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for any RV you'll find on RVezy, whether it's a compact campervan or a 35-foot Class A motorhome. You just need to be 25 or older, and you'll confirm your ID through the RVezy platform during booking. Visiting from outside the US? Pair your home license with an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto club before your trip. That's it, no extra paperwork, no DMV trip, just pickup day and the open road toward Jacksonville Beach or the St. Johns River.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace?

The sweet spot is October through April, when Northeast Florida shows off its best weather. Daytime temperatures sit in the comfortable 65 to 78°F range, humidity drops, and the mosquitoes take a break. December and January nights occasionally dip to the 40s, so a heated RV is a nice touch. Summer (June to September) is hot and humid with highs near 92°F and frequent afternoon thunderstorms, plus it overlaps with Atlantic hurricane season. Spring break weeks fill campgrounds fast, so book early. Insider tip: late October through mid-November is magic here, warm beach days, empty campgrounds, and the lowest RV rental rates of the year.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?

You'll do great, first time renting an RV is easier than most people expect, especially around Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace where the roads are flat, wide, and well-marked. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, covering driving, hookups, slides, generator, and dump procedures. They also leave you their phone number, so you can text mid-trip with any question. If parallel parking a 30-foot motorhome sounds intimidating, choose delivery and the host handles the driving entirely. Pro tip: do your first practice loop on the quieter roads around Argyle Forest Boulevard before heading onto I-295 or the Buckman Bridge.

What happens if I have a breakdown or issue on the road?

You're never stranded. Every motorhome rental in Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace includes 24/7 roadside assistance through the RVezy protection package, covering flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, towing, and fuel delivery. If something happens out at Talbot Islands or on the way to St. Augustine, one call gets a technician dispatched. For RV-specific systems like a finicky AC or stuck slide-out, message your host directly, they know their rig best and can usually troubleshoot in minutes. RVezy support is also available around the clock if anything escalates. Save the roadside number to your phone before you leave the driveway and you'll roll out completely worry-free.
fdot.gov/traffic/road-ranger.shtm

Can I take the RV to Georgia, the Carolinas, or out of Florida?

Yes, interstate travel is totally doable on an RV road trip from Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace. Most hosts allow travel anywhere in the continental US, with popular routes heading north to Savannah (2.5 hours), Charleston (4 hours), the Great Smoky Mountains (7 hours), or south to the Florida Keys (7 hours). Just confirm your route with the host before booking, since some prefer to know mileage and destinations in advance. One important note: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance and protection coverage end at the border. Canada-bound trips can be discussed with your host. Stick to US routes and the country is wide open to you.

How much should I budget for fuel?

Fuel is the second-biggest trip cost after the rental itself, but it's predictable. Most Class C motorhomes get 8 to 10 miles per gallon, Class A's around 6 to 9, campervans 15 to 20, and a truck plus travel trailer averages 10 to 13. Jacksonville-area gas prices typically run a bit below the national average, around $3.10 to $3.45 per gallon for regular unleaded as of 2025. For a 500-mile loop to St. Augustine, Amelia Island, and Crescent Beach in a Class C, plan on roughly $175 to $220 in fuel. Pro tip: fuel up at the Pilot or Flying J on Pecan Park Road, the lanes are RV-friendly and the diesel pricing is competitive.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace?

For Florida state parks, book the second the window opens, which is 11 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservation system. Little Talbot Island, Anastasia, and Fort Clinch fill up fast for weekends October through April. Private parks like Flamingo Lake and Pecan Park RV Resort typically need 1 to 3 months for weekends, less midweek. For peak times (Thanksgiving, Christmas week, spring break, and The Players Championship in March), think 4 to 6 months out. Insider tip: cancellations happen constantly, so if a park looks full, check back every couple of days at 8 a.m., that's when same-day releases tend to post.
floridastateparks.reserveamerica.com/

What are the driving conditions like around Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace?

Driving here is pleasant and RV-friendly. The terrain is flat, the highways (I-10, I-95, I-295, and SR 21 Blanding Boulevard) are wide and well-paved, and there are no mountain grades to worry about. Avoid downtown Jacksonville during weekday rush (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m.) when the Hart Bridge and Fuller Warren Bridge slow to a crawl. Summer afternoon thunderstorms can dump heavy rain quickly, so pull off if visibility drops. Bridges like the Buckman are tall and windy, take it steady in high crosswinds. Watch for low-hanging oak branches on older neighborhood streets if you're driving a tall Class A.

Northeast Florida campgrounds are well-equipped. At full-hookup parks like Flamingo Lake RV Resort and Pecan Park RV Resort, expect 30/50-amp electric, fresh water, sewer at each site, free WiFi, laundry, pools, and bathhouses. State parks like Little Talbot Island and Anastasia offer water and 30/50-amp electric (no sewer at the site, but dump stations on the way out). For RV camping in Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace day trips, you'll find dump stations at Flamingo Lake (open to non-guests for a fee), Pecan Park, and the Flying J on Pecan Park Road. Potable water fills are easy to find at any full-service park or truck stop along I-95.
