Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Gladeview, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Gladeview, FL?

RV rental in Gladeview is approachable for a South Florida getaway. In the Miami area, motorhomes typically average around $200 to $275 per night, travel trailers run closer to $110 to $160 per night, and campervans fall somewhere in between. Many hosts offer 10 to 20 percent discounts on weekly or monthly bookings. To score a cheap RV rental in Gladeview, aim for shoulder seasons (late April to early June or September to early November) when snowbird demand drops. Pro tip: filter by Instant Book and delivered travel trailers if you want the lowest total cost, since delivery lets you skip towing entirely.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Gladeview, FL?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Gladeview. Florida Statute 322.53 specifically exempts personal-use recreational vehicles from Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements, even for big Class A motorhomes, so your everyday Class E (or equivalent out-of-state) license covers you. You must be 25 or older to book on RVezy, and ID verification happens right inside the platform during checkout. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your home license. Most first-time renters are amazed at how quickly they're cleared to hit the Palmetto Expressway and roll toward the Keys.

What protection comes with my Gladeview RV rental?

Every RV rental in Gladeview booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you are covered from the moment you pick up the keys. You choose your protection level at checkout (not the host), which lets you decide how much financial cushion you want for your Miami area RV trip. Each plan outlines what is covered for damage, liability, and roadside support, and the details are shown before you confirm. With Florida's busy I-95 and Turnpike corridors, that built-in safety net lets you focus on sunsets at Crandon Park rather than worst-case scenarios.

What if I need to cancel my Gladeview RV trip?

Booking is low-risk. RVezy (not the host) sets the cancellation policy, and every reservation includes a money-back grace period right after you book, giving you breathing room to finalize plans. Refunds after that window depend on how close you are to your trip start date. If a named storm threatens your dates during Atlantic hurricane season (June 1 to November 30), contact RVezy support early and they will walk you through your options. You can review the full cancellation policy on the RVezy Help Center before confirming your Gladeview RV rental.

Can I bring my dog on a Gladeview RV rental?

Absolutely. Pet-friendly RV rentals in Gladeview are easy to find. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you'll see dozens of motorhomes and travel trailers whose hosts welcome four-legged guests. Miami-Dade County has plenty of dog-loving stops too: Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah has a fenced Bark Park, Haulover Beach has a designated off-leash dog beach, and Larry and Penny Thompson Park accepts leashed pets at its campsites. Message the host before booking to confirm any pet fee or breed notes. Pack a collapsible water bowl, because South Florida heat and humidity hit dogs hard, especially May through September.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Gladeview?

Yes, RV delivery in Gladeview is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it is perfect if you are flying into Miami International Airport (just a few miles south) or staying somewhere without towing capability. Many local hosts will drive the RV directly to your campground, hotel, marina, or residence in the Gladeview area, then handle full setup and a walkthrough so you do not lift a finger. Delivery fees are set by each host and usually based on mileage. Pro tip: ask about delivery straight to Larry and Penny Thompson Park or Miami Everglades Resort to skip the urban driving entirely.

How far can I travel on a Gladeview RV trip?

Plenty far. A Gladeview RV trip puts you within easy reach of Florida's best destinations: Key Largo is about 65 miles south on US-1, Everglades National Park's main entrance in Homestead is roughly 40 miles southwest, Naples and the Gulf Coast are 125 miles west via Alligator Alley (I-75), and Orlando theme parks sit about 235 miles north on Florida's Turnpike. Each host sets their own mileage policy, ranging from a daily allowance to RV rental with unlimited mileage. Check the listing's mileage section before booking, and if your route is ambitious, message the host directly to negotiate a higher cap.
nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/directions.htm

Where are the best campgrounds near Gladeview, FL?

You've got fantastic options within a short drive. Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park (about 18 miles south, next to Zoo Miami) has 240 RV sites with full hookups and a lake. Miami Everglades Resort in Southwest Miami offers a pool, mini-golf, and easy access to Everglades National Park. Hollywood KOA Holiday (about 14 miles north) is steps from the beach, and Davie/Fort Lauderdale KOA sits 20 miles northwest with shaded sites. For something quirky and affordable, Goldcoaster RV Resort in Homestead is a 35-mile drive south and serves as a perfect Keys launchpad. Book winter dates 4 to 6 months ahead, since snowbirds fill these spots fast.

When is the best time to RV in Gladeview, FL?

Gladeview's sweet spot is mid-November through mid-April, when daytime highs sit between 72 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity drops, and mosquitoes back off. This is also peak snowbird season, so campgrounds fill up. Summer (June through September) brings 88 to 92 degree heat, daily afternoon thunderstorms, and hurricane season (officially June 1 to November 30), but RV rates dip and beaches are gloriously uncrowded on weekdays. Spring break weeks in March can spike both prices and traffic. Local insider tip: aim for early December or late April for the magic combo of warm weather, lower prices, and wide-open campground availability.
weather.gov/mfl/climate

I've never rented an RV before. Is Gladeview a good place to start?

Yes, and you are in great hands. Renting an RV for the first time in Gladeview is easier than most people expect because hosts give a full pickup walkthrough covering hookups, slide-outs, tanks, and propane before you ever turn the key. Many hosts also offer delivery, so you never have to drive the rig in Miami traffic if you do not want to. Start with a Class C motorhome or a delivered travel trailer for an easy learning curve. Pro tip: book a two-night stay at Larry and Penny Thompson Park first, practice the systems, then head down to the Keys with confidence.

What happens if something breaks down during my Gladeview RV trip?

You are never alone on the road. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so a flat tire on the Florida Turnpike, a dead battery at a campground, or a tow request gets handled with one phone call. Your host is also a direct lifeline for quirks specific to their RV, like a finicky generator or AC reset, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after the trip. Save both numbers in your phone before pulling out of Gladeview. Most issues get sorted quickly so your Miami beach day stays on track.

Can I take my Gladeview RV rental to the Florida Keys or out of state?

Yes to both, with a quick host check-in. An RV road trip from Gladeview to Key West is a bucket-list classic (about 165 miles south on the Overseas Highway, roughly 4 hours each way), and most hosts welcome trips to Georgia, the Carolinas, or further into the Southeast. Message the host before booking to confirm out-of-state travel and review the mileage policy. One firm rule on RVezy: travel into Mexico is not permitted because insurance coverage does not extend there. For Keys camping, reserve Bahia Honda or John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park as early as possible since waterfront sites fill quickly.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

How much will fuel cost on my Miami area RV trip?

Budgeting fuel for your Gladeview RV trip is straightforward. Class C motorhomes average 8 to 10 miles per gallon, Class A rigs get 6 to 8 mpg, and campervans push 15 to 20 mpg. Florida gas prices typically run a few cents below the national average, and you'll find competitive stations along NW 27th Avenue, US-1, and the Florida Turnpike. A round trip to Key West (about 330 miles) in a Class C burns roughly 35 gallons. Pro tip: download the GasBuddy app and fill up in Florida City before heading into the Keys, where gas prices jump 30 to 50 cents per gallon.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Gladeview?

For winter trips (December through April), book 4 to 6 months ahead, ideally as soon as the campground's reservation window opens. Florida State Parks like Bahia Honda, John Pennekamp, and Long Key release sites exactly 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica's Florida Park Service portal, and prime waterfront spots disappear within minutes. Miami-Dade County campgrounds like Larry and Penny Thompson accept reservations up to 6 months out. Summer and shoulder season are far more forgiving, often available a week or two ahead. Local insider tip: set a calendar alarm for 8:00 a.m. Eastern on your booking-window opening day for the best shot at premier sites.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservations

What are local driving conditions like in and around Gladeview?

Gladeview sits just off the Palmetto Expressway (SR-826) and minutes from I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, so you'll encounter typical Miami traffic, especially weekday rush hours (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.). Roads are flat and well-maintained, with no mountain passes or snow to worry about. Watch for low clearances under some downtown overpasses (the lowest is around 11 feet 6 inches), avoid the narrow streets of South Beach, and respect the 55 mph speed limit on the Overseas Highway to the Keys. Afternoon summer thunderstorms can drop visibility fast, so pull over and wait it out if needed.
fl511.com/

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Gladeview?

Campgrounds near Gladeview are well equipped for comfortable RV camping. Most parks like Larry and Penny Thompson, Miami Everglades Resort, and Hollywood KOA offer full hookups (30 and 50 amp electric, water, and sewer), dump stations, hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, and swimming pools. Potable water fills are standard, and dump stations are typically free for paid campers. If you need a dump between stops, the Florida City Camp Site and some Flying J locations along the Turnpike accept day-use dumping for a small fee. Pro tip: top off your fresh water tank before heading into Everglades National Park, where Long Pine Key has no hookups.
nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/lpkcamp.htm

What's included inside a typical Gladeview RV rental?

You'll be impressed by how loaded these rigs are. Most motorhome rentals in Gladeview come with a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, sleeping for 4 to 8 depending on size, climate control, and seatbelts for every passenger, which Florida law requires. Many hosts include a roof-mounted AC (essential for South Florida), a generator or solar setup for off-grid stays in the Everglades, a flat-screen TV, and Bluetooth speakers. Campervan rental in Gladeview options are more compact but pack the essentials. Always check the listing's amenities section and message the host if you need specifics like a CPAP-friendly outlet or pack-and-play.
flhsmv.gov/safety-center/consumer-education/seat-belts/

What add-ons and pickup options should I expect?

Hosts in Gladeview offer flexible options to customize your trip. Popular add-ons include linen and kitchen kits (usually $25 to $75 per trip), bike racks, kayaks or paddleboards, generators, propane refills, and camping chairs. Pickup typically happens at the host's home or a mutually agreed Miami-Dade location, with a 30 to 60 minute walkthrough included. Mileage policies vary: some listings include 100 to 150 free miles per day, others offer RV rental with unlimited mileage for a flat fee. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a generator add-on if you're heading into Everglades or Big Cypress, where boondocking without hookups is part of the adventure.
nps.gov/bicy/planyourvisit/camping.htm

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure through the RVezy platform. You pay your rental total at booking using a credit or debit card, and the funds are held by RVezy until your trip begins, so the host never sees your card details. A refundable security deposit (set by each host) is authorized separately on your card before pickup and released after the RV is returned in the same condition you received it. To avoid hiccups, do a thorough walkthrough video at pickup and dropoff, return the RV with fuel and propane at the agreed levels, and stay within the mileage cap. Most renters get their full deposit back within a few days.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How do I handle South Florida's heat and hurricane season in an RV?

With a little planning, summer RV camping in Gladeview is totally doable. Choose a rental with a strong roof AC (ideally 13,500 BTU or higher) and run it on shore power at campgrounds to avoid draining the generator. Drive in the morning before the 2 to 5 p.m. thunderstorm window, park in shaded sites when possible, and stash extra water and a battery fan. During hurricane season (June 1 to November 30), monitor the National Hurricane Center daily, and if a named storm enters the Gulf or Atlantic basin within 5 days of your trip, contact your host and RVezy support early to discuss rebooking or cancellation options.
