Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

I've never driven an RV before. Is renting in Goulds beginner-friendly?

You've got this. First time renting an RV? Goulds is a great launching point because most popular routes (US-1 south to the Keys, the Turnpike north, and SR-9336 into Everglades National Park) are flat, straight, and well-marked. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup, covering the generator, slide-outs, water systems, leveling, and dumping. You can also message your host before booking with any questions. If you'd rather skip the driving entirely, choose a travel trailer or motorhome with delivery and setup included. Start with a Class C motorhome or campervan rental in Goulds, they drive more like a large truck or van and are the easiest first-time rigs.

RVezy's customer support team is available before, during, and after your trip through the Help Center and phone line. Whether you're parked at Flamingo Campground deep in the Everglades or cruising US-1 toward Key Largo, help is always within reach.

What's the fuel cost like for an RV trip from Goulds?

Budgeting is easy once you know the numbers. Florida gas prices typically run close to the national average, often in the $3.00 to $3.50 per gallon range in the Miami-Dade area at most major stations. Class A motorhomes average 7 to 10 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C rigs get 10 to 14 MPG, campervans land around 18 to 22 MPG, and a truck pulling a travel trailer usually sees 10 to 13 MPG. A round trip from Goulds to Key West (about 320 miles) in a Class C will run roughly $80 to $115 in fuel. How far in advance should I book a campground near Goulds?

Plan ahead and you're golden. For the best campgrounds near Goulds, FL, Florida State Park sites (like Bahia Honda and John Pennekamp in the Keys) open reservations 11 months out at FloridaStateParks.org and fill within minutes for winter weekends. Everglades National Park's Flamingo and Long Pine Key campgrounds book through Recreation.gov up to 6 months in advance. Private resorts like Boardwalk RV Resort and Miami Everglades Resort accept reservations year-round but can sell out for January through March by early fall. What are local driving conditions like around Goulds and Miami-Dade?

South Florida driving is manageable if you plan smart. Goulds sits right off US-1 in southern Miami-Dade, so you're south of the heaviest Miami traffic and have easy access to the Turnpike and US-1. Avoid driving I-95 and the Palmetto Expressway (SR-826) during 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. weekday rush hour. The Overseas Highway down to the Keys is two lanes with occasional passing zones, take your time and enjoy it. Summer afternoon thunderstorms can dump heavy rain fast, so pull over if visibility drops. Watch for low clearance at older bridges and drive-throughs in Miami proper. Most RVezy hosts will recommend the easiest pickup route based on your rig size.

Do I need to worry about urban driving in Miami with a large RV?

Not if you don't want to. Goulds is about 25 miles south of downtown Miami, so you can easily plan a trip that avoids city driving entirely by sticking to US-1 south, the Turnpike, or SR-9336 into the Everglades. If you're nervous about navigating a Class A or Class C through Miami, choose RV delivery in Goulds, your host brings the rig directly to your campground or rental property. For escapes from the city, you're about 35 minutes to Biscayne National Park, 45 minutes to Everglades National Park's main entrance, and under an hour to Key Largo. Avoid downtown Miami, Miami Beach, and the Art Deco district with anything over 25 feet, parking is very limited.

Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Campground has water and electric hookups plus a dump station on-site. Inside Everglades National Park, Flamingo Campground has electric and non-electric sites, a dump station, potable water fill, and restrooms, while Long Pine Key has non-electric sites with shared water and dump facilities. Need to dump on the road? The Pilot/Flying J in Homestead on US-1 offers public dump and freshwater fill. Tip: bring a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a sewer hose support, you'll thank yourself.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure. When you book your RV rental in Goulds, FL, you pay through RVezy's protected checkout, never directly to the host, which keeps your transaction safe and your protection plan valid. A refundable security deposit is held or pre-authorized on your card before your trip, with the amount shown on each RV's listing page so there are no surprises.
