2025 Other Class B
This was our first campervan rental (actually, it was our first Campervan trip of any kind) and it has really inspired us do it again. Renting from Linda was easy. She was very responsive to any questions we had about the process and what was included. The van was amazing. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed to make our trip easy. The walk through was informative and Linda answered all our questions. We could not have been happier with our experience. We'll be renting again for sure!

We had a great time, and the RV definitely helped with that! We went to a charity campout that allows RVs. It was so nice to spend time in Tampa and have a comfortable bed and A/C to come back to. Gary was easy to work with, the RV use was reasonably priced, and I will call on him again!

David's support and "Goldilocks" exceeded our expectations. With our 2 medium labradoodles, we had the "just right" amount of space and were able to enjoy 2 lovely south-GA state parks in our 5 day getaway. We appreciated David dropping off & picking up the RV so we could get the most enjoyment from our limited time. The twin beds made for a great night sleep, and we loved how many windows the rig had --- an overall great layout and very well maintained.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Holiday, FL?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Holiday. Florida's standard Class E driver's license covers personal-use recreational vehicles up to 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), which includes virtually every motorhome, campervan, travel trailer, and fifth wheel on RVezy. No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement is required. You'll just need to be at least 25 years old, hold a valid driver's license from your home state or country, and complete RVezy's quick ID verification during booking. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your home-country license and you're set to roll.

What is the cancellation policy if my Holiday RV trip plans change?

Booking your Holiday, FL RV trip is low-risk because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy for every reservation on the platform. There's a money-back grace period right after booking, and additional flexibility depending on how far out your trip is and whether circumstances like a tropical storm or hurricane warning come into play (a real consideration on Florida's Gulf Coast from June through November). You won't see different cancellation rules on each listing because the policy is consistent across RVezy. Pro tip: book sooner rather than later for the best RV selection, knowing the grace period has you covered if plans shift.

Can I find a pet-friendly RV rental in Holiday, FL?

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Holiday is easy to find. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you'll see motorhomes and travel trailers from local hosts who welcome dogs and cats. Your pup will love the area too: North Anclote Bar allows leashed dogs on its sand spit, Honeymoon Island State Park (about 25 minutes south) has a dedicated dog beach, and the Pinellas Trail behind nearby Caladesi RV Park is perfect for morning walks. Note that Anclote Key and Three Rooker Bar themselves don't allow pets to protect nesting shorebirds. Pro tip: message the host before booking to mention your pet's size and breed so check-in is seamless.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Holiday?

Yes, RV delivery in Holiday is one of the smartest ways to start your trip, and many local hosts offer it. They'll tow or drive the RV directly to your campsite at places like Suncoast RV Resort in Port Richey, Clearwater/Lake Tarpon KOA Holiday in Palm Harbor, or Encore Holiday Travel Park right in town, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. It's the perfect option for first-time renters who'd rather skip the driving and just enjoy the Gulf Coast. Delivery fees vary by distance, so use RVezy's Delivery filter and message hosts directly for an exact quote to your destination.

Most hosts include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and many offer RV rental with unlimited mileage on longer bookings, so you can comfortably explore the whole region. From Holiday, you're 45 minutes to downtown Tampa, about 1 hour to St. Pete Beach, roughly 90 minutes to Busch Gardens, around 2 hours to Crystal River for manatee swims, and about 2 hours to Orlando's theme parks. Each listing shows the host's specific mileage allowance and per-mile overage rate up front. Pro tip: estimate your route before booking and filter for unlimited-mileage listings if you're planning a longer Florida loop.

Where are the best campgrounds near Holiday, FL?

You're spoiled for choice when it comes to where to park an RV in Holiday. Encore Holiday Travel Park sits right in town off US-19 with full hookups and a pool. Suncoast RV Resort in Port Richey (about 8 miles north) offers 30/50-amp full hookups in a quiet setting. Clearwater/Lake Tarpon KOA Holiday in Palm Harbor (about 5 miles south) is family-friendly with a lake, pool, and cabins. Three Lakes RV Resort in Hudson (about 15 miles north) is a popular snowbird favorite, and Hickory Point RV Park on the Anclote River has waterfront sites with a boat launch. Pro tip: in winter (December through March) these parks fill fast with snowbirds, so book 2 to 3 months ahead.

When is the best time of year for RV camping in Holiday, FL?

The sweet spot for RV camping in Holiday runs from late October through April, when daytime highs sit comfortably in the 70s and low 80s with low humidity and minimal rain. This is also peak snowbird season, so campgrounds book up early. Spring (March to early May) brings warm Gulf waters and fewer crowds. Summer (June through September) is hot and humid with highs in the low 90s and daily afternoon thunderstorms, but it's also when you'll find the lowest RV rental rates and quietest beaches. Pro tip: hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, so book a coastal trip with one eye on the National Hurricane Center forecast and enjoy the flexibility of RVezy's cancellation policy.

I'm renting an RV for the first time in Holiday. What should I expect?

First time renting an RV in Holiday? You're going to love how supported you feel. Every host gives you a thorough walkthrough at pickup, showing you how the slide-outs, generator, awning, water systems, and dump valves work, and they're a text away the entire trip. Holiday is also an ideal first-timer base because the terrain is flat as a pancake, US-19 and the Suncoast Parkway are wide and straightforward, and you're never more than 20 minutes from a campground if you want to bail on driving and post up. Pro tip: ask your host for a campervan rental Holiday or smaller Class C for your first trip, they're easier to maneuver and park than a big Class A.

What happens if my RV breaks down during my Holiday trip?

You're never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection package, so a flat tire on the Suncoast Parkway, a dead battery at Hickory Point, or a tow needed off US-19 is one phone call away from being handled. Your host is also a direct text or call away for quick questions about quirks of their specific RV. RVezy's customer support team is available before, during, and after every trip if anything more complicated comes up. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number to your phone before you leave the pickup location so you're never digging through emails on the side of the road.

What are popular RV road trip routes from Holiday, FL?

An RV road trip from Holiday opens up some of Florida's best Gulf Coast scenery. Head 2 hours north to Crystal River and Homosassa Springs to swim with manatees in winter. Drive 90 minutes south to Fort De Soto Park near St. Pete for waterfront camping on the Sunshine Skyway. Cruise 3 hours southeast to Everglades National Park for alligator country. Or make the 2-hour run east to Orlando for Disney and Universal. Cross-border trips into Canada are allowed on most listings, but travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Pro tip: confirm out-of-state travel with your host through the messaging tool before booking long hauls.

How much should I budget for fuel on an RV trip from Holiday?

Fuel is one of the biggest variables in an RV rental Florida budget, so plan ahead. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 miles per gallon (mpg), Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 mpg, and Class A coaches typically run 6 to 10 mpg. Florida gas prices typically run around $3.00 to $3.50 per gallon, with stations along US-19 and the Suncoast Parkway in Holiday offering competitive pricing. For a typical 300-mile weekend loop in a Class C, expect to spend roughly $90 to $130 on gas. Pro tip: use the GasBuddy app to find the cheapest stations near your route and fill up before you cross into the Tampa metro, where prices tend to spike.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Holiday?

For the best campgrounds near Holiday, book early, especially in winter. Snowbird season (December through March) sees private parks like Three Lakes RV Resort, Suncoast RV Resort, and Encore Holiday Travel Park fill up 3 to 6 months out, and many regulars rebook a year ahead. Florida State Parks like Hillsborough River and Anastasia open reservations 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica, and popular dates go within minutes of the window opening at 8 a.m. ET. For summer and shoulder seasons, 2 to 4 weeks ahead is usually fine. Pro tip: if your dream park is full, set a calendar alert and check daily, cancellations happen constantly.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservations-and-cancellations

What are driving conditions like around Holiday, FL?

Driving an RV around Holiday is refreshingly easy. The terrain is flat, there are no mountain passes or steep grades, and the main arteries (US-19, the Suncoast Parkway toll road, and SR-54) are wide with generous shoulders. Watch for Florida's classic afternoon summer thunderstorms between June and September, which can drop visibility quickly. Heavy snowbird traffic on US-19 from January through March means slower speeds and crowded parking lots. Avoid driving into downtown Tampa or St. Pete in a large rig during rush hour (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.). Pro tip: bridges like the Sunshine Skyway are stunning but get gusty, slow down and grip the wheel firmly when crossing in winds over 25 mph.
fl511.com/

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Holiday?

Most campgrounds near Holiday are well-equipped for a comfortable RV stay. You'll typically find full hookups (30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer), Wi-Fi, hot showers, laundry rooms, dump stations, propane refills, swimming pools, and clubhouses with planned activities, especially at snowbird-heavy parks like Three Lakes and Holiday Springs RV Resort. Need to dump or fill water mid-trip? Most parks let non-guests use the dump station for $10 to $20. State parks like Hillsborough River offer water and 30-amp electric but no sewer at the site (centralized dump station instead). Pro tip: if you're heading to primitive spots like Anclote Key, your RV becomes your full base, so top off fresh water and empty tanks before you launch.

What features do RV rentals in Holiday typically include?

Motorhome rental Holiday options come surprisingly well-equipped. Expect a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, comfortable sleeping for 2 to 8 depending on size, air conditioning (essential in Florida), heat, a TV, and seatbelted seats for travel. Most Class C and Class A rigs include a generator for off-grid power, awnings for shade, and outdoor speakers. Many Holiday hosts include linens, kitchen kits, camping chairs, and beach gear like coolers and umbrellas, perfect for Gulf Coast trips. Wi-Fi hotspots are commonly offered as add-ons. Pro tip: check each listing's amenities list carefully and message the host if you need something specific like a roof-mounted solar panel or kayak rack.
nps.gov/subjects/camping/rv-camping.htm

What add-ons and pickup options are available for Holiday RV rentals?

Hosts in Holiday offer a range of add-ons to customize your trip: delivery and setup, generator hours, bike racks, paddleboards, beach gear packages, propane refills, dump station service, late returns, and Wi-Fi hotspots. Pickup is typically at the host's location in or near Holiday, New Port Richey, Tarpon Springs, or Palm Harbor, with delivery available to campgrounds across the Tampa Bay area. Each listing spells out mileage allowance (often 100 to 150 free miles per night), generator-hour limits, and pet policies up front, no surprises. Pro tip: bundling delivery, setup, and a full propane tank often costs less than the time and stress of doing it yourself, especially for first-time renters.
pascocountyfl.gov/389/Parks-Natural-Resources

How does payment and the security deposit work for an RV rental in Holiday?

Payment for your Holiday RV rental is handled securely through the RVezy platform, so you never hand cash or a card to the host directly. You'll pay the rental total, protection package, taxes, and any add-ons at booking using a major credit or debit card. The security deposit is a separate authorization hold (not a charge) placed on your card before pickup, typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV's value, and released after a successful return. To avoid deposit deductions, complete the pre-trip walkthrough with photos, return the RV clean with tanks emptied and fuel topped off, and stay in touch with your host. Pro tip: use a credit card with a high limit so the deposit hold doesn't crowd your trip spending.

Where can I park an RV overnight in and around Holiday, FL?

In Pasco County (which includes Holiday), RV overnight parking on public streets and county rights-of-way is restricted, so plan to stay at a proper campground or RV park. The good news: you've got plenty of options within a 20-minute drive, including Encore Holiday Travel Park, Suncoast RV Resort, Clearwater/Lake Tarpon KOA Holiday, and Orchid Lake RV Resort in New Port Richey. Some local Walmarts permit a single night of parking with manager permission. If your host delivers to a private driveway, RVs can be parked there temporarily for loading and unloading. Pro tip: book your campground before pickup day so you have a confirmed legal spot waiting.
