Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Lauderhill, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Lauderhill, FL?

An RV rental in Lauderhill is one of the most affordable ways to explore South Florida. Travel trailers near Lauderhill typically start around $90 to $140 per night, while motorhomes generally range from $175 to $250 per night, with luxury Class A coaches priced higher. Because Lauderhill sits just minutes from Fort Lauderdale and the beaches, you'll find lots of inventory, which keeps prices competitive. To score a cheap RV rental in Lauderhill, book midweek, travel in shoulder season (late April through early November), and filter for travel trailers with delivery already included. Pro tip: many hosts in Broward County offer weekly discounts, so a 7-night booking is often cheaper than two long weekends.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Lauderhill, FL?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Lauderhill, Florida. Florida does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for personal-use recreational vehicles, regardless of size. To book through RVezy, you'll need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and RVezy verifies your ID during booking. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your home license and you're set. Most first-time renters are surprised how simple it is to book a motorhome rental in Lauderhill and just drive away.

Is RV rental insurance and roadside assistance included in Lauderhill?

Yes, every RV rental in Lauderhill, FL booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the road with confidence. The protection plan covers damage to the vehicle based on the coverage level you select at booking, which is especially helpful if you're new to RVing in South Florida's busy I-95 and Florida Turnpike corridors. You choose the level of protection that fits your trip during checkout, not the host. If a tire blows on Alligator Alley or the AC quits on a hot Broward afternoon, one call gets you help. That's a huge stress reducer for any Lauderhill RV trip.

What if I need to cancel my Lauderhill RV rental?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not the host), and it includes a money-back grace period after you book so you can lock in your dates with confidence. South Florida weather can be unpredictable, especially during Atlantic hurricane season from June 1 through November 30, and RVezy's policy provides guidance for storm-related disruptions. If your plans change, head to your booking dashboard to review your specific options. Pro tip for any rent an RV in Lauderhill plan: book early for snowbird season (December through March) when inventory tightens, and use the grace period to refine your itinerary.

Once you've got your rig, Broward County offers great spots: Markham Park in nearby Sunrise has a fenced off-leash dog park and shaded trails, Snyder Park in Fort Lauderdale features a dog beach, and Tree Tops Park in Davie offers pet-friendly trails. Long Pine Key Campground in Everglades National Park also allows leashed pets at campsites. Message your host before booking to confirm any pet fee, and you're ready to roll.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Lauderhill?

Yes, RV delivery in Lauderhill is one of the best ways to start a stress-free trip. Many hosts will drive the RV right to your campground, hotel parking area, or driveway in Lauderhill, Plantation, Sunrise, or anywhere across Broward County, set it up, connect the hookups, and walk you through every system. This is a game-changer if it's your first time renting an RV or if you'd rather skip driving a 30-foot motorhome through Fort Lauderdale traffic. Use the Delivery filter when searching, and check the listing for the host's per-mile delivery fee. Popular delivery destinations include Markham Park, Easterlin Park, and the Davie/Fort Lauderdale KOA Holiday.

How far can I drive on a typical Lauderhill RV rental?

Most hosts offer between 100 and 150 free miles per night on a Lauderhill RV trip, with additional miles available at a flat per-mile rate (usually $0.35 to $0.50). Some hosts even offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, perfect for a longer road trip from Lauderhill. To put that in context: Key Largo is about 80 miles south, Miami Beach is 35 miles south, Naples via Alligator Alley is 105 miles west, Orlando is 215 miles north, and the Florida Keys all the way to Key West is around 175 miles. Filter for unlimited mileage listings if you're planning a multi-stop adventure, and you'll have the freedom to roam without watching the odometer.

Where can I camp or park an RV near Lauderhill, FL?

You've got fantastic options for RV camping near Lauderhill. Markham Park in Sunrise (5 miles west) is the local favorite, with full hookups, a target range, and miles of biking trails. Easterlin Park in Oakland Park (3 miles east) offers shaded sites under pine trees right in the city. Davie/Fort Lauderdale KOA Holiday (10 miles south) has a pool and family activities. For a wilder feel, head 50 miles southwest to Long Pine Key Campground in Everglades National Park, or 75 miles north to Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Book Broward County parks at broward.org/parks and Florida State Parks at floridastateparks.org up to 11 months in advance, especially November through April.
broward.org/parks/Pages/CampingReservations.aspx

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Lauderhill?

Lauderhill is a year-round destination, but the sweet spot for RV camping in Lauderhill is November through April, when daytime temperatures hover between 72 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity drops, and mosquitoes are scarce. This is peak snowbird season, so book early. May through October brings heat in the upper 80s, daily afternoon thunderstorms, and Atlantic hurricane season from June 1 to November 30. Shoulder months like late April, early May, and late October offer warm beach weather, fewer crowds, and lower nightly rates, making them the smart-money pick. Pro tip: a December trip pairs perfectly with the Winterfest Boat Parade in Fort Lauderdale.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving in South Florida?

You'll do great, and you won't be left to figure it out alone. Every RVezy host gives you a full orientation at pickup, walking you through the generator, water hookups, slide-outs, dump procedures, and driving tips before you leave. If you're nervous about driving in Lauderhill or Fort Lauderdale traffic, request delivery so the RV arrives at your campground ready to go. Most first time renting an RV in Lauderhill goes smoother than expected because Class C motorhomes and travel trailers drive much like a large truck. Stick to right lanes on I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, avoid I-595 during rush hour, and you'll be cruising confidently to the Keys in no time.
fdot.gov/safety/

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV on my trip?

You're covered. Every RVezy booking in Lauderhill includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so if you get a flat on Alligator Alley, run out of fuel near the Everglades, or have a mechanical hiccup in the Keys, one phone call dispatches help. Your host is also your direct line for questions about the RV's systems, and RVezy's customer support team is available before, during, and after your trip. South Florida has plenty of RV-friendly service centers in Davie, Pompano Beach, and Fort Lauderdale if a repair is needed. Save your host's number and the roadside number to your phone before leaving Lauderhill, and you're set.

Can I take my Lauderhill RV rental on a road trip to other states or countries?

Yes, an RV road trip from Lauderhill is one of the best ways to see the Southeast. Most hosts allow interstate travel throughout the continental U.S., so you can head north to Savannah (485 miles), the Smoky Mountains (820 miles), or west across the Gulf Coast. Travel to Canada may be allowed depending on the specific host and insurance, so message them directly through the listing to confirm. Travel to Mexico is not allowed on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Popular routes from Lauderhill include the Florida Keys Overseas Highway, the Gulf Coast loop through Naples and Sanibel, and the Atlantic Coast drive up A1A to St. Augustine.

What's the realistic fuel budget for an RV trip from Lauderhill?

Budgeting fuel for your Lauderhill RV trip is straightforward. Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 miles per gallon (MPG), Class B campervans get 16 to 22 MPG, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle but typically pull 10 to 14 MPG. Florida gas prices generally run a bit below the national average; check current prices at gasprices.aaa.com. As a rough estimate, a 500-mile round trip from Lauderhill to Key West and back in a Class C could cost $180 to $240 in fuel. Pro tip: most South Florida RVs run on regular unleaded, and you'll find diesel and high-clearance pumps at Pilot/Flying J stations along I-75 and the Florida Turnpike.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Lauderhill?

For the best campgrounds near Lauderhill, book early. Florida State Parks open reservations 11 months in advance at floridastateparks.org, and popular spots like Jonathan Dickinson State Park and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park fill up the day the window opens, especially November through April. Broward County parks like Markham Park and Easterlin Park can be booked online at broward.org/parks, usually 3 to 6 months ahead. Private parks like Yacht Haven Park & Marina and Highland Pines RV Resort in Deerfield Beach take direct reservations and often have shorter lead times. Pro tip: if your dates are flexible, set availability alerts on Recreation.gov for Everglades National Park's Flamingo Campground.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservations

What are driving conditions like around Lauderhill?

Lauderhill sits in the heart of Broward County, so expect typical South Florida urban driving: heavy I-95 traffic during weekday rush hours (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.), frequent afternoon thunderstorms in summer, and watch for sudden downpours that can flood low-lying intersections. The terrain is dead flat, so no mountain grades to worry about, which is great for first-timers. Use Florida's Turnpike for a smoother, less congested route north or south. Avoid driving tall RVs through downtown Fort Lauderdale where some bridges and parking garages have low clearances. Heading to the Keys? US-1 south of Key Largo is two lanes much of the way, so allow extra time and enjoy the views.

What amenities do campgrounds near Lauderhill offer?

Campgrounds near Lauderhill are well equipped for RVers. Markham Park offers full hookups (water, electric, sewer), a dump station, hot showers, and Wi-Fi at most sites. Easterlin Park has 50-amp electric and water at every site. Davie/Fort Lauderdale KOA Holiday includes full hookups, a pool, laundry, and propane refills. For potable water and dump stations on the road, Flamingo Campground in Everglades National Park has two dump stations and potable water filling stations. Most South Florida parks have paved or hard-packed sites, palm-tree shade, and proximity to grocery stores. Pro tip: bring a 50-amp to 30-amp dogbone adapter just in case, especially if you're renting a larger Class A motorhome.
nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/camping.htm

What features and amenities come standard in a Lauderhill RV rental?

Lauderhill RV rentals come surprisingly well-stocked. Expect a queen or full bed (often with bunks in family rigs), a working kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a bathroom with shower and toilet, roof-mounted air conditioning (critical in South Florida), and seatbelts for travel passengers. Most rentals include a TV, and many include Wi-Fi hotspots or a generator. Class B campervans are more compact but include the essentials, while Class A and Class C motorhomes typically sleep 4 to 8. Many hosts also offer linens, kitchen kits, and outdoor chairs as add-ons. Check the listing's amenities tab before booking, and message the host if you need something specific for your family RV trip in Lauderhill.
fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/title49/section/393.93

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Hosts in Lauderhill offer plenty of helpful add-ons to customize your trip. Common options include generators ($25 to $50 per day), bike racks, kayak racks, outdoor grills, propane refills, linen and kitchen packages ($50 to $100 flat), and extra mileage packages. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Lauderhill or a nearby Broward County neighborhood, and delivery is widely available for a per-mile fee. Mileage policies vary by listing, typically 100 to 150 free miles per night, with some offering unlimited mileage. Pro tip: ask your host about a propane top-off before pickup, since the Florida heat means you'll be running the AC heavily, and some campgrounds require generator use during quiet hours.
flhsmv.gov/motor-vehicles-tags-titles/recreational-vehicles/

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment for your campervan rental in Lauderhill is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy at booking using a major credit or debit card, with a portion charged upfront and the balance closer to your trip date. The host places a refundable security deposit hold (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) shortly before pickup, separate from your booking payment, and it's released after the trip assuming the RV is returned in good shape with no policy violations. To avoid deposit issues, do a thorough walk-around video with the host at pickup and drop-off, dump tanks if required, refuel as agreed, and stick to the agreed mileage. Everything stays inside the RVezy platform, so you have a clear record.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How do I handle the heat and hurricane season during a Lauderhill RV trip?

South Florida heat and storms are manageable with a little planning. From June through September, daytime highs hit the upper 80s with high humidity, so book a rental with strong roof AC (most have at least one 13,500 BTU unit), park in shaded sites at places like Easterlin Park or Long Pine Key Campground, and drive earlier in the day to avoid afternoon thunderstorms. Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30, peaking August through October, so monitor the National Hurricane Center forecasts and check RVezy's cancellation guidance if a named storm threatens. Smart-money move: book your RV rental Florida adventure in shoulder months like late October, March, or April when temperatures are perfect and storm risk drops sharply.
