This was our first time renting a camper. Great experience from start to finish. Larisa was a wonderful hostess! Quickly responsive. Right on time for delivery and pick- up. Her camper was extremely accommodating. We were 2 adults with 3 grown teens and NEVER felt cramped. Beds, linens, towels were super super comfy. I wouldn't think twice about renting again! Highly recommend you give this one a try!

My wife and I are thinking of buying an RV and decided to rent one and see if it was a good fit. What a stroke of luck it was finding Kerri and her rental unit. It was perfect for the two of us. We didn't need to pack anything but our tooth brushes. This camper had everything you needed from chairs to games to a completely stocked bathroom with anything you would need to refresh. It was exactly what a couple of novice campers needed. You will not be disappointed renting this unit. Kerri deserves 5 stars.

Our family greatly enjoyed traveling across Florida and back in this spacious, comfortable RV. The owners provided a PDF of the user manual and made themselves available for questions which helped a lot considering this was my first time renting a motor home. It was a very enjoyable experience so we’re looking forward to another RV rental in the future :)

Great news: RV rental in Neptune Beach is one of the most budget-friendly ways to enjoy Florida's First Coast. On RVezy, travel trailers typically start around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes run roughly $175 to $275 per night, and luxury Class A rigs go higher. Book midweek, travel in the shoulder months of late February through April or October through early December, and look for older travel trailers with delivery included. Pro tip: bundling delivery often beats paying gas to move a big rig yourself.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Neptune Beach?

Good news for first-time renters: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Neptune Beach, Florida. The state specifically exempts personal-use recreational vehicles from Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements, so your standard Class E Florida license, any US state license, or a valid international license works for every motorhome and travel trailer on RVezy. You'll need to be at least 25 years old, and RVezy will verify your ID through the platform during booking. That's it, no RV endorsement, no driving test, no special paperwork. If you're flying into Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), just bring your license and you're ready to start your Neptune Beach RV trip.

What protection is included when I rent an RV in Neptune Beach?

You are covered from the moment you book. Every RV rental in Neptune Beach on RVezy includes a protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit A1A with real peace of mind. During checkout, you choose from different protection levels based on how much coverage you want, and hosts cannot alter or downgrade your selection. The plan provides significant financial protection for most damage to the RV during your trip. Even if you have never driven a motorhome before, you are not on your own if a mirror gets clipped in a Beaches Town Center parking lot. Pick the level that fits your comfort, then enjoy the trip.

What if I need to cancel my Neptune Beach RV trip?

Booking is low-risk. RVezy sets a clear cancellation policy on every reservation, and hosts cannot change those terms, which keeps things consistent for guests. Cancellation outcomes depend on how far out you are from your trip start date, and RVezy support can help if a major event such as a tropical storm affects your plans during the June through November hurricane season on Florida's First Coast. If a host cancels on you, RVezy will help arrange a refund or rebooking credit. If anything changes with your Neptune Beach RV trip, contact RVezy support and they will walk you through your options.

Can I bring my dog on an RV rental in Neptune Beach?

Yes, and Neptune Beach is one of the most dog-friendly beach towns in Florida. To find a pet-friendly RV rental in Neptune Beach, toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and message the host with your dog's size and breed before booking. Once you arrive, you will find that Neptune Beach allows leashed dogs on the sand, and Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park just north in Jacksonville has a dog-friendly beach area. Bring a freshwater rinse jug for paws after beach walks, and pack a copy of your pet's vaccination records in case your campground asks for them. Many hosts welcome pets, so confirm any pet fee with your host before you book.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground or vacation rental?

Yes, RV delivery in Neptune Beach is one of the best perks for first-time renters. Many RVezy hosts will drive the motorhome to your campsite at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, Little Talbot Island State Park, or a vacation rental in Jacksonville Beach, then level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. That means no white-knuckle drive over the Atlantic Boulevard bridge and no backing into a tight site. Filter by Delivery on RVezy, message the host with your destination, and confirm the fee, which is usually a flat rate plus mileage. It is the easiest way to start your Neptune Beach RV trip.

How far can I drive on an RV rental from Neptune Beach?

You've got a fantastic road trip range from Neptune Beach. Most RVezy hosts include a daily mileage allowance of 100 to 150 miles, and many offer unlimited-mileage add-ons for longer journeys. From here, St. Augustine is just 45 miles south, Amelia Island is 35 miles north, Orlando theme parks are about 145 miles southwest, the Okefenokee Swamp sits 75 miles north in Georgia, and Savannah is a scenic 140 miles up I-95. If you're dreaming of a longer RV road trip from Neptune Beach, message the host before booking to negotiate an unlimited-mileage upgrade. Pro tip: A1A south to St. Augustine is the prettier, slower coastal route, perfect for a leisurely first day.

Where are the best campgrounds near Neptune Beach for RV camping?

You have great options for RV camping near Neptune Beach. Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, about 6 miles north in Jacksonville, has roughly 300 wooded sites with hookups, 1.5 miles of beach, and freshwater lakes for kayaking and paddleboarding. Little Talbot Island State Park, about 20 miles north, offers around 36 campsites on an undeveloped barrier island with a 32-foot RV length limit. Pecan Park RV Resort near Jacksonville International Airport has full hookups and a pool, and Huguenot Memorial Park is a popular drive-on beach campground nearby. Book Hanna Park first, since it is the closest beachfront RV option to Neptune Beach.

When is the best time to visit Neptune Beach in an RV?

The best time for an RV trip in Neptune Beach is mid-February through May and again from mid-October through early December. During those windows, daytime highs sit in a comfortable 70 to 82 degree range, humidity drops, and you can fully enjoy your awning and outdoor kitchen. July and August bring 90 degree highs, a heat index that can climb past 100, frequent afternoon thunderstorms, and peak Atlantic hurricane risk. January is the coolest month with highs near 65 and lows in the upper 40s, which still beats most of the country. Spring break weeks book up fast, so reserve your Neptune Beach RV rental at least 60 days ahead for March and April trips.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?

Yes, and you're in great company: most people renting an RV in Neptune Beach are doing it for the first time. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving the rig, dumping tanks, running the generator, leveling, and using the awning. You can also message the host before booking with any question, no matter how basic. Neptune Beach itself is a friendly place to learn: streets are flat, traffic is mellow compared to Jacksonville proper, and Atlantic Boulevard gets you right to the beach. Pro tip: for your first RV road trip from Neptune Beach, choose a Class C motorhome or a campervan instead of a 35-foot Class A. They drive more like a big truck and park anywhere.

What happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?

You are never stranded. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so if you get a flat on the Buckman Bridge, the generator quits at Hanna Park, or a slide-out sticks at Little Talbot Island, one phone call gets help dispatched. Your host is also a direct resource and usually responds quickly, since they know their RV inside and out. For weather emergencies, Florida's First Coast has a robust evacuation system with clearly marked routes inland on I-10 and US-90. Save the RVezy support number and your host's number in your phone before you pull out, and you will roll into your trip totally relaxed.

Can I take my Neptune Beach RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes to both, with a quick heads-up. Travel within the US is covered, so RV road trips from Neptune Beach into Georgia, the Carolinas, and beyond are a breeze. Popular interstate routes include I-95 north to Savannah and Charleston, and I-10 west toward the Florida Panhandle. Travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the host and insurance, so message the host directly through the listing before booking to confirm. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental, since insurance coverage does not extend there. The Cumberland Island ferry from St. Marys, Georgia is only about an hour from Neptune Beach and makes an unforgettable side trip.

How much should I budget for fuel on my Neptune Beach RV trip?

Fuel is usually the second-biggest line item after the rental itself, so let's make it predictable. Class C motorhomes in the Jacksonville area typically average 8 to 10 miles per gallon, Class B campervans get 16 to 20, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. With Florida gas prices generally hovering near the national average, a 300-mile loop from Neptune Beach to St. Augustine and back in a Class C runs roughly $90 to $130 in fuel. Pro tip: the Wawa, Buc-ee's just up I-95 in St. Augustine, and RaceTrac locations along Atlantic Boulevard usually have the cheapest diesel and gasoline. Fill up before you head onto A1A, where beach-town prices climb 20 to 40 cents per gallon.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Neptune Beach?

For peak weekends, book early. Little Talbot Island State Park opens reservations 11 months ahead through the Florida State Parks reservation system, and prime spring and fall weekends can sell out quickly. Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park takes reservations through the City of Jacksonville system and tends to fill 3 to 6 months out for holidays. For a regular weekday trip, 2 to 4 weeks ahead is usually fine. If your dates show sold out, set a cancellation alert through a service like Campnab, since last-minute openings happen often. You can also message your RVezy host, since many know quiet private campgrounds and RV resorts that fly under the radar.
