Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in North Bay Village, FL

How much does it cost to rent an RV in North Bay Village, FL?

Renting an RV in North Bay Village is often more affordable than booking a Miami-area hotel. Travel trailers typically run around $125 to $175 per night, while motorhome rentals near North Bay Village average about $200 to $300 per night, and many hosts offer weekly or monthly discounts. To score a cheap RV rental in North Bay Village, target shoulder months like May or late October, when winter snowbird demand drops but the weather is still warm and sunny. Pro tip: filter for travel trailers and add delivery to your nearest campground. You will often spend less than a Miami Beach hotel and wake up with the ocean breeze just steps from the bay.

What license do I need to rent an RV in North Bay Village?

Good news: a regular driver"s license is all you need to rent an RV in North Bay Village, Florida. There is no special RV endorsement or Commercial Driver"s License (CDL) required by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for the Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, or travel trailers most renters choose. RVezy approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and your ID is verified through the platform during booking. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit. That is it, you are ready to roll across the causeways and start your Miami adventure.

What is the cancellation policy if my Miami trip plans change?

Booking your North Bay Village RV trip is low-risk because RVezy (not the individual host) sets the cancellation policy that applies to every rental on the platform. There is a grace period after booking where you can cancel for a full refund, and additional refund tiers apply based on how far out you are from your trip start date. RVezy also has provisions for cancellations tied to named storms and natural disasters, which is reassuring during South Florida"s June to November hurricane season. The full details live in the RVezy Help Center, so you can book your Miami getaway today knowing the terms are clear.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in North Bay Village?

Absolutely, plenty of hosts offer pet-friendly RV rental in North Bay Village, and you can filter for them in one click using the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy. Once you land, your pup has options: Haulover Beach Park just north on Collins Avenue has a popular off-leash dog beach, and the bayfront sidewalks of North Bay Village itself are perfect for sunrise walks. For overnight stays, Oleta River State Park and Larry and Penny Thompson Park both welcome leashed dogs at their campsites. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any pet fee and ask about a quick rinse-off spot, since salty paws are part of the Miami experience.

Can the RV be delivered to me in North Bay Village or to my campground?

Yes, RV delivery in North Bay Village is one of the smartest ways to start your trip, especially if you are flying into Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL). Many hosts will drive the RV directly to your campground, marina, or even a friend's driveway on the 79th Street Causeway, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. This is a game-changer for first-time renters who would rather skip Miami's tight urban streets and the low clearance on parts of I-95. Look for the Delivery filter on RVezy and check each host's delivery radius and fee, then arrive, unpack, and start enjoying the bay.

How far can I drive on an RV road trip from North Bay Village?

Your North Bay Village RV trip can cover serious ground because South Florida is a launchpad to incredible destinations. Key Largo sits just 65 miles south on US-1, Key West is about 165 miles down the Overseas Highway, Everglades National Park's main entrance is roughly 50 miles southwest, Naples on the Gulf Coast is 125 miles via Alligator Alley (I-75), and Orlando theme parks are about 235 miles north on the Florida Turnpike. Check the mileage policy on each listing, and if you are planning a big loop, message the host to ask about a custom mileage package.

Where can I park or camp an RV near North Bay Village?

You have several solid options for RV camping near North Bay Village, since overnight street parking is not allowed on the islands. The closest full-service choice is Oleta River State Park in North Miami, about 8 miles north, with bayfront access and electric and water hookups. Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park near Zoo Miami offers RV sites with pool access about 25 miles southwest. Miami Everglades RV Resort in Homestead (around 35 miles south) has resort amenities, and the Miami Everglades and Fort Lauderdale area KOA campgrounds offer full hookups within easy reach. Pro tip: book winter stays at least three to six months ahead, since snowbirds fill these parks fast from December through March.

When is the best time to take an RV trip to North Bay Village?

The sweet spot for an RV trip to North Bay Village is November through April, when daytime highs sit in the 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit, humidity drops, and mosquitoes back off. This is also peak season, so book early. May and late October are shoulder-season gold: still warm and sunny, fewer crowds, and lower nightly rates on motorhome rental in North Bay Village. Summer (June through September) brings highs near 90, daily afternoon thunderstorms, and the Atlantic hurricane season, which peaks in September. If you go in summer, plan morning beach time and indoor afternoons. Local insider tip: late January through early March lines up with Miami's biggest festivals and the best weather of the year.

I have never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving in Miami?

You are going to do great, even if this is your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving, leveling, the generator, slide-outs, and tank systems before you leave the driveway. For extra confidence in the Miami area, pick a smaller Class C motorhome or campervan rental in North Bay Village, which handle more like a large van than a bus, and avoid the lower-level lanes on the MacArthur and Julia Tuttle Causeways during rush hour. Even better, choose delivery so the host parks and sets up the RV at your campground. You can also message any host with questions before booking, with no obligation to commit.

What happens if I have a breakdown or flat tire during my trip?

You are never on your own. Every RV rental in North Bay Village comes with 24/7 roadside assistance included with the RVezy renter protection plan, so one call gets you a tow, jump start, tire change, lockout service, or fuel delivery, day or night. Save the roadside number in your phone before you leave, snap a photo of your RV"s license plate, and note your location (mile markers along the Florida Turnpike and US-1 in the Keys make this easy). Your host is just a message away through the RVezy app for questions specific to their RV, and RVezy customer support backs you up throughout the trip.

Can I take my RV rental across state lines or to the Bahamas or Mexico?

Yes, an RV road trip from North Bay Village can absolutely cross state lines. Popular interstate routes include heading north on I-95 to Savannah and Charleston, or west on I-10 to New Orleans. Travel anywhere in the continental US is generally allowed, though some hosts cap mileage or set a state limit, so confirm in the listing or message the host. Important: travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because the protection coverage does not extend there. The Bahamas is not reachable by RV (no land crossing), and RVs are not allowed on the ferries. If Canada is on your bucket list, ask the host directly, since some allow it case by case.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-go

What kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I plan for?

Budgeting fuel for your North Bay Village RV trip is simple once you know the basics. Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class A coaches get 6 to 10 mpg, and campervans (Class B) often hit 16 to 20 mpg. Most motorhomes in Florida run on regular unleaded gasoline, while a few larger units use diesel. Florida gas prices typically sit close to the national average, and Miami-Dade has plenty of stations, but plan fill-ups before heading into the Everglades or down through the Keys where stations thin out. Pro tip: the Pilot, Flying J, and RaceTrac off the Florida Turnpike around Homestead have RV-friendly high-flow pumps and easy pull-through access.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near North Bay Village?

Book early, especially for winter. The best campgrounds near North Bay Village fill up fast: Oleta River State Park and other Florida State Parks open reservations 11 months out through ReserveAmerica's Florida State Parks system, and oceanfront winter dates in Key Largo and the Keys can sell out the day they open. For a December through March trip, lock in your campground six to eleven months ahead. National Park sites in Everglades and Biscayne are booked through Recreation.gov, also up to six months out. Shoulder season (May, October) is much more forgiving, with weekend availability often open just a few weeks in advance. Book the campground first, then your RV rental in Florida around those dates.

What are local driving conditions like around North Bay Village?

Driving an RV around North Bay Village is very manageable once you know the local quirks. The village sits on three islands along the 79th Street Causeway (FL-934) between mainland Miami and Miami Beach, with low-speed bridges and a few traffic lights, so larger rigs roll through fine. Avoid Miami Beach's narrow side streets and the upper-deck restrictions on some causeways: the MacArthur Causeway (I-395) and Julia Tuttle Causeway (I-195) are the friendliest east-west routes. Watch for low-hanging palms in older neighborhoods, sudden afternoon thunderstorms in summer that can cut visibility fast, and aggressive lane-changers on I-95. Insider tip: pick up and drop off your RV outside rush hour (9 a.m. to 3 p.m. is golden) for a stress-free start.
fdot.gov/traffic/trafficservices/

What amenities and hookups can I expect at South Florida campgrounds?

South Florida campgrounds are some of the best-equipped in the country. Near North Bay Village, expect full hookups (30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer) at private parks like Miami Everglades RV Resort, Davie/Fort Lauderdale KOA, and Hollywood KOA, plus pools, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Oleta River State Park offers water and 30/50-amp electric with a central dump station, while Flamingo Campground in Everglades National Park has electric sites plus a dump station and potable water fill. Most parks include a dump station for paid campers, and you can find additional public dump stations through Miami-Dade County. Pro tip: top off fresh water before crossing into the Keys, where some campground water has a strong sulfur taste.
nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/flamingo-campground.htm

What features and amenities come standard in a North Bay Village RV rental?

Most RV rentals in North Bay Village come ready to live in from minute one. Expect a queen or king bed plus convertible dinette or bunk beds, a full kitchen with fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, and basic cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, roof and dash air conditioning (essential in Miami), a TV, and seatbelted seating for travel. Class A and C motorhomes usually include an onboard generator for boondocking, and many hosts add Wi-Fi hotspots, outdoor speakers, beach chairs, and snorkel gear as included extras. Towables like travel trailers and fifth wheels have the same comforts minus the cockpit. Check each listing's amenities list, and message the host if you need something specific like a portable crib or paddleboard rack.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/recreational-vehicle-safety

What add-ons and mileage policies should I look for when booking?

RVezy makes it easy to customize your North Bay Village RV rental with host-offered add-ons. Common extras include linens and towel packages, kitchen kits, bikes, beach gear, generator use, propane refills, portable grills, and dump and refill services so you can return the RV without finding a dump station. Mileage policies vary by host: some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage (great for a Keys or Orlando run), while others include a daily allowance with a small per-mile fee beyond it. Pickup and drop-off windows are set by the host, typically a two- to four-hour window, and many will adjust for flights. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a dump service for the easiest first-time experience possible.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment for your RV rental in North Bay Village is simple and secure through the RVezy platform: you pay by credit or debit card right at booking, with no cash exchanged with the host. A refundable security deposit is placed as a hold (not a charge) on your card a few days before your trip and released back to you shortly after drop-off, assuming the RV is returned in the same condition. The deposit amount is shown on every listing before you book. To avoid deductions, take time-stamped photos at pickup and drop-off, return with the agreed fuel and propane levels, and follow the host"s tank and cleaning instructions.
