Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

What license do I need to rent an RV in North Miami Beach, FL?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in North Miami Beach. Florida does not require a special RV license or commercial driver's license (CDL) for any motorhome or trailer you'll find on RVezy. Most first-time renters are surprised how simple the process is, even for a Class A motorhome rental North Miami Beach guests use to explore the Keys.

When is the best time to rent an RV in North Miami Beach?

North Miami Beach is a year-round RV destination thanks to its subtropical climate, but the sweet spot is mid-November through April, when daytime highs sit roughly in the mid-70s to low 80s Fahrenheit and humidity drops to comfortable levels. December through March is peak snowbird season with sunny, drier days perfect for the beach. May through October brings highs in the upper 80s, frequent afternoon thunderstorms, and Atlantic hurricane season from June 1 to November 30. Shoulder months like late April and early November give you warm weather, fewer crowds, and lower nightly rates. Pro tip: a January RV camping North Miami Beach trip pairs perfectly with the Miami International Boat Show.

Can I take my RV rental across state lines or into Canada or Mexico?

Yes, interstate travel is welcomed by most North Miami Beach hosts, so a Georgia, Carolinas, or even up-the-East-Coast RV road trip from North Miami Beach is totally doable. Just confirm the host's mileage policy and let them know your route. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage do not extend there. Travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the host and protection plan, so message the host before booking. Pro tip: popular Florida routes include North Miami Beach to St. Augustine (about 320 miles) or down US-1 to Key West, no border paperwork required.

What kind of fuel costs should I budget for?

Plan smart and fuel won't break your North Miami Beach RV trip. Class C motorhomes typically average 8 to 10 mpg, Class A gas rigs around 6 to 8 mpg, campervans 16 to 20 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Florida gas prices generally track close to the national average, with plenty of stations along I-95, the Florida Turnpike, and US-1. A round-trip drive from North Miami Beach to Key West (about 330 miles total) in a Class C will cost roughly $130 to $180 in fuel at typical prices. Pro tip: use a fuel-price app to find cheaper diesel and gas in Homestead before you head down the Overseas Highway, where prices spike.

How far in advance should I book a campground near North Miami Beach?

For winter trips (December through April), book your campground the same day you book your RV, ideally 4 to 6 months out, because South Florida sites fill fast with snowbirds. Florida State Parks like Oleta River State Park open reservations exactly 11 months in advance through the official Florida State Parks reservation system, and the popular sites are gone within minutes of that window opening. Private parks like Hollywood KOA and Yacht Haven Park book up 2 to 3 months ahead in peak season. Summer and early fall are much easier, often a week or two is enough. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for 11 months before your travel date and reserve Oleta or Long Pine Key in Everglades National Park the morning the window opens.

What's it like to drive an RV in the North Miami Beach area?

Driving an RV in North Miami Beach is very manageable if you plan around traffic, the area is flat, well-signed, and built for big vehicles on its main corridors like I-95, the Florida Turnpike, and US-1. Avoid rush hours (roughly 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.) and skip the narrow streets of South Beach and downtown Miami, where low clearances and tight parking can stress any rig. Watch for sudden summer thunderstorms (June through September) and the occasional king-tide flooding on Collins Avenue. Pro tip: if Miami traffic feels intimidating, book RV delivery North Miami Beach hosts offer and skip the city drive entirely, you can be in the Everglades or Keys in about 90 minutes.

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near North Miami Beach?

South Florida campgrounds are well-equipped for a comfortable RV camping North Miami Beach experience. Most local parks like Hollywood KOA, Topeekeegee Yugnee, and C.B. Smith offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, and sewer at the site), concrete pads, Wi-Fi, laundry, and swimming pools. Dump stations are standard at paid campgrounds, and you can also use public dump stations like the one at Markham Park in Sunrise. Potable water fill is available at every full-hookup site. Pro tip: pack a water-pressure regulator, South Florida municipal water pressure can spike high enough to damage RV plumbing without one.
broward.org/Parks/Pages/default.aspx

What's typically included inside an RV rental in North Miami Beach?

You'll be impressed by how turnkey RVs on RVezy are. A typical motorhome rental North Miami Beach booking comes with real beds (queen or king in many Class A and Class C rigs), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, an indoor bathroom with shower and toilet, roof AC (essential here), a generator for off-grid power, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and Wi-Fi hotspot. Hosts often throw in linens, kitchenware, and camp chairs, just check the listing's amenities tab. Pro tip: confirm AC tonnage if you're traveling June-September, you'll want a strong unit for South Florida humidity.

What add-ons can I get and how does pickup work?

Hosts in North Miami Beach offer plenty of add-ons to make your trip easier. Common extras include delivery and setup, generator hours, bike racks, kayaks or paddleboards (perfect for Oleta River), beach gear packages, linen and kitchen kits, propane refill, and dump-station service at return. Each host sets their own daily mileage allowance and add-on fees, all shown clearly on the listing page before you book. Pickup is usually at the host's home or an agreed meeting point, and dropoff matches the pickup location unless you've arranged delivery. Pro tip: add the paddleboard package, Haulover Sandbar and Oleta River State Park are excellent flatwater spots minutes from town.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment on RVezy is simple and secure, you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card when you book, never directly to the host. Most hosts also require a refundable security deposit, held separately from your booking payment before pickup and released after return assuming the RV comes back in the same condition it left. Deposit amounts are shown on each listing so there are no surprises. To avoid issues, take dated photos and a quick walk-around video at pickup and dropoff, and report anything unusual through the RVezy app. Pro tip: use a credit card with travel protections for your North Miami Beach RV trip for an extra layer of buyer security.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How do I handle South Florida heat and hurricane season in an RV?

With a little planning, summer RVing in North Miami Beach is totally doable. Choose an RV with strong roof AC (15,000 BTU is a good benchmark) and stay at full-hookup campgrounds so you can run it nonstop, dry-camping in 90F humidity drains batteries fast. Drive in the morning to beat afternoon thunderstorms, and keep an eye on the National Hurricane Center from June 1 through November 30. If a named storm is forecast near your trip dates, contact RVezy support and your host right away to review your options under the standard cancellation policy. Pro tip: shoulder seasons (late October to November, April to May) give you warm beach weather, lower rates, and far less storm risk, making them the smart-money pick.
