We had a fantastic experience with Obi’s RV. It is a great RV, in excellent condition and really easy to drive and stay in. It is comfortable and spacious and Obi’s communication was excellent. Both he and his wife are lovely people and were incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole experience from booking through to return. I would highly recommend.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Maryland?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Summerfield. Maryland does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for the motorhomes, campervans, and travel trailers available on RVezy. You'll need to be 25 or older and have a valid driver's license, which is verified through the RVezy platform during booking. Visiting from abroad? Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Class C motorhomes in the Summerfield area average roughly 8 to 12 mpg, Class B campervans get around 15 to 20 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (typically 10 to 14 mpg combined). Maryland gas prices generally run close to the national average, so check current rates before you depart. For a 500-mile round trip to Shenandoah, budget roughly $150 to $200 in fuel for a Class C at typical prices. Greenbelt Park and other National Park Service sites release reservations 6 months in advance through Recreation.gov, and they fill up fast for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and fall foliage weekends. Maryland State Park campgrounds like Cedarville and Patapsco Valley book through the Maryland State Parks reservation system, often up to a year ahead for some loops. Private parks like Cherry Hill Park book directly through their website. Pro tip: if your dates are flexible, target Sunday through Thursday stays, you'll often find availability at top campgrounds even a week or two out, plus quieter trails and lower rates.

What's it like driving an RV around Summerfield and the DC area?

Driving an RV around Summerfield is totally manageable if you plan smart. The Capital Beltway (I-495) and I-95 get heavy with rush-hour traffic between 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 7 PM, so aim to depart mid-morning or after the evening rush. Avoid driving any RV into downtown DC, the historic streets, parking garages, and low tunnel clearances are not RV-friendly. Stick to outer routes like I-495, Route 301, and Route 50, which are wide and well-maintained. Watch for summer thunderstorms with strong crosswinds on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Pro tip: park your RV at a campground like Cherry Hill Park and use their shuttle service toward the Metro into DC, you'll skip the parking nightmare and save your sanity.

You can usually find dump stations along major routes too, including the Maryland House travel plaza on I-95. How does payment and the security deposit work?
