We had an amazing experience renting this camper van for the weekend! The van was clean, comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. It easily carried all of our gear, including a cooler and fishing poles, with plenty of room to spare. It truly had all the comforts of home—and more. From the kitchen essentials to the camping accessories, everything was provided, making our trip easy and enjoyable. Mark, the owner, was fantastic to work with. He took the time to thoroughly show us how to operate the van and explained all of its features and accessories before we left. His attention to detail and willingness to answer our questions made us feel confident and well prepared for our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better rental experience. If you’re looking for a well-equipped camper van and an owner who genuinely cares about his renters, we highly recommend renting from Mark. We would definitely rent from him again!

I've never rented an RV before, will I be okay?

Can I take an RV from Fair Haven into Canada or other states?

You can take your Fair Haven RV across state lines, and an RV road trip from Fair Haven into New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, or further down the East Coast is one of the most popular use cases on the platform. Cross-border travel into Canada depends on the host's listing and insurance, so message the listing owner directly to confirm before booking if Niagara Falls or Quebec City is on your itinerary. How much should I budget for fuel on a Fair Haven RV trip?

Fuel is usually the biggest variable cost, so it is smart to plan ahead. Class C motorhomes in this area typically get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class B campervans return 16 to 22 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (often 10 to 14 mpg combined). With New Jersey gas prices generally tracking near the national average, a 300-mile weekend loop to Cape May and back from Fair Haven might run roughly $90 to $150 in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: fill up before crossing into New York where prices are usually higher, and remember that in New Jersey an attendant pumps your gas for you, as self-service is not permitted by state law.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Fair Haven?

Book early, especially for summer weekends. New Jersey state park campgrounds like Cheesequake and Allaire accept reservations in advance through the state's reservation system, and prime July and August Saturday nights at the best campgrounds near Fair Haven often book up quickly once the window opens. For peak-season trips, aim to lock in your site at least 3 to 4 months ahead; for shoulder season (May, September, early October), 4 to 6 weeks is usually plenty. Insider tip: if you strike out on your first choice, check the reservation system regularly for cancellation openings.

What are driving conditions like around Fair Haven for a larger RV?

Fair Haven itself is a quiet, tree-lined borough, but the surrounding Monmouth County roads have a few quirks worth knowing for any motorhome rental in Fair Haven. The Garden State Parkway is RV-friendly with wide lanes, but trailers and certain larger vehicles are restricted on portions north of Exit 105, so review NJDOT and Parkway rules before towing north. Avoid River Road through Rumson and Sea Bright during high tide and coastal storms, when flooding is common. Local insider tip: skip the Route 36 Highlands Bridge backup on summer Saturday mornings by leaving before 9 a.m. or after 2 p.m.
state.nj.us/transportation/

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Fair Haven?

Most campgrounds near Fair Haven offer the essentials and then some. State parks like Cheesequake and Allaire provide gravel pads, picnic tables, fire rings, flush toilets, hot showers, potable water spigots, and an on-site RV dump station, though they typically do not offer electric, water, or sewer hookups at individual sites. For full hookups (30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer at the pad), private parks like Indian Rock RV Park in Jackson are a great choice. Pro tip: most state-park sites are fine on battery power for a long weekend if you are conservative with the air conditioning, or rent an RV with a built-in generator for extra flexibility.

What is typically included inside a Fair Haven RV rental?

You will be surprised how well-equipped modern RVs are. A typical campervan rental in Fair Haven or Class C motorhome on RVezy comes with sleeping for 2 to 8 (queen beds, convertible dinettes, bunk options), a kitchen with fridge, stovetop, microwave, and sink, a wet or dry bathroom with toilet and shower, climate control via air conditioner and furnace, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many also include a generator, TV, Wi-Fi or cellular booster, outdoor awning, and basic cookware. Each listing has a full amenities list, so you can sort by what matters most for a family RV trip in Fair Haven, whether that is a separate kids' bunk room or a dedicated outdoor kitchen.

What add-ons and pickup details should I know about?

Hosts offer plenty of useful add-ons to make life easier. Common extras include linens and bedding packages, kitchen kits, generator hours, propane refills, bike racks, kayak carriers, portable grills, and pet cleaning fees. Mileage policies vary: some listings include 100 to 150 miles per night free, while others offer truly unlimited miles, especially helpful for a longer RV road trip from Fair Haven. Pickup and dropoff usually happen at the host's location, but many offer delivery to nearby campgrounds, marinas, or your driveway. Pro tip: confirm pickup time, fuel level expectations, and the cleaning policy in your booking message so there are zero surprises at return.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Fair%20Haven%2C%20New%20Jersey

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure: you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit card when you book, never directly to the host. A security deposit is collected separately from the booking payment (typically held as a pre-authorization on your card rather than charged), and the amount varies by RV type and value. As long as you return the RV in the same condition it was provided, with the agreed fuel level and no unreported damage, the hold is released after your trip. Pro tip: do a quick walk-around video at pickup and dropoff to document the RV's condition and avoid any disputes.
