Our experience with Eugene’s RV was awesome!!! On another platform we had our original RV host cancel last minute which left us without an RV just days before our Labor Day plans. Booking on the RVezy platform was a cinch and Eugene was super responsive and confirmed us with very short notice! Eugene’s drop-off and hook up was perfect!!! Great floor plan, space, and amenities for our family of 5 for the long weekend. All linens and blankets were provided, pillows were decent, too (not super flat like some camping/travel pillows and not too firm like some hotels can be). Plenty of A/C outlets and USB chargers for recharging phones and nighttime use of the CPAP. Bathroom was fully stocked; including towels for shower. Water pressure was great in the shower and all toilet and sewage worked like a charm. The dining table easily fit four and the extra couch was great for everyone to spread out and sit. Setting the thermostat and vents took a little getting used to but all AC/heat, fans, etc. worked perfectly!! We enjoyed a cooler night’s sleep and would get the heat on in the mornings and within 5 minutes or so we were good to go for morning routines. Gas stovetop was very efficient and the kitchen area, too, was well stocked for cleaning and even included some seasonings! The RV as a whole was well maintained and clean and everything worked perfectly. We will definitely reach out to Eugene again for future RV rentals!

Host is accomadating & honest. This is my 2nd year renting from him. I have no complaints & I appreciate his service. We treat this camper as our own & leave it in the manner it was left to us. Mike dropped off, set up & tore down & retrieved at conclusion of our trip. Mike & his Wife are good people. I look forward to next year!

We had such a great experience renting from PJ! My wife, son, and I had an amazing camping trip. PJ went above and beyond—he delivered, set up, and picked up the RV for us, which made everything so easy. The RV was super clean and stocked with everything we needed: cooking supplies, chairs to relax in, cleaning essentials, and plenty of food storage. The bedding was fantastic as well—we were extremely comfortable the whole time. You can tell PJ really cares about making sure his guests have a great time. Great communication as well. Highly recommend!

An RV rental in Danville is one of the more affordable ways to explore central Pennsylvania. On RVezy, travel trailers usually start around $75 to $130 per night, Class C motorhomes typically run $150 to $250 per night, and larger Class A coaches range from $200 to $350 per night. Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Danville?

A regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Danville for the vast majority of rigs on RVezy. Pennsylvania only requires a non-commercial Class B license if you're operating a single vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) over 26,000 pounds, which excludes almost every campervan, travel trailer, and Class C motorhome on the platform. RVezy approved drivers are generally 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and ID verification happens right inside the booking flow. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit alongside your home license. Most first-time renters are pleasantly surprised at how simple the requirements really are.

What protection and roadside assistance is included with my RV rental in Danville?

You're covered from the moment you book. Every RV rental in Danville on RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance built right into the booking, so you don't have to arrange separate coverage. The protection plan covers eligible damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose your coverage level during checkout to fit your comfort and budget. What if my plans change? Can I cancel my Danville RV rental?

Booking is low risk. RVezy sets and manages the cancellation policy for every Danville RV trip, not individual hosts, and there is a money-back grace period right after booking so you can lock in dates with confidence. The exact refund depends on how far in advance you cancel, and unusual circumstances such as severe weather can be reviewed by support. The RVezy team is reachable before, during, and after your trip if life throws a curveball. Tip: book early to grab the best Knoebels-season inventory, then relax knowing the cancellation safety net has your back.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Danville?

Yes, dogs are welcome on plenty of trips. Filter for pet-friendly RV rental Danville options on RVezy and you'll see rigs from hosts who allow dogs (and sometimes cats), often with a small cleaning add-on. Pennsylvania state parks like Worlds End and Ricketts Glen offer pet-friendly campsites, and Hess Recreation Area in Danville is a great spot for a pre-trip leg stretch along the Susquehanna River. Knoebels Campground allows leashed dogs in the campground (though not inside the amusement park itself). Message the host before booking to confirm pet rules and share your dog's size and breed.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Danville?

Yes, RV delivery Danville is one of the most popular options for first-timers and families. Many local hosts will drive the rig directly to Knoebels Campground, Lake Glory Campground, or your driveway in Montour County, level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before they leave. Delivery fees usually run between $2 and $5 per mile from the host's location, with some offering flat rates within a 25-mile radius of Danville. Filter for Delivery on RVezy to see eligible listings. Delivery is a game-changer if you've never driven anything bigger than a minivan, because you skip the highway entirely and just enjoy the campsite.

Most hosts include 100 to 150 free miles per night, with additional miles billed at roughly $0.35 to $0.50 each, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage on longer trips. From Danville you can reach Ricketts Glen State Park (about 35 miles north), Worlds End State Park (around 55 miles north), Hersheypark (about 75 miles south), Gettysburg (roughly 140 miles southwest), and Niagara Falls (around 260 miles northwest). Where are the best campgrounds near Danville?

You're spoiled for choice. The best campgrounds near Danville include Knoebels Campground in Elysburg (about 15 miles south, with hundreds of sites and free shuttles to the amusement park), Lake Glory Campground in Catawissa (about 12 miles east, with a stocked fishing lake), Indian Head Campground in Bloomsburg (about 15 miles east), and Ricketts Glen State Park (35 miles north, famous for its 21 named waterfalls). For RV camping Danville locals love, Ricketts Glen offers electric sites with a true wilderness feel. Book early for July and August weekends because the most popular sites sell out quickly.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Danville?

Late May through mid-October is the sweet spot for a Danville RV trip. Summer highs in July hover around 82 degrees Fahrenheit with warm, humid nights perfect for campfires, while September and early October bring crisp 60-70 degree days and spectacular foliage across the Susquehanna River Valley. Spring (April to May) is quieter and cheaper, with daytime temperatures climbing from the 50s into the 70s. Winter rentals (January lows around 20 degrees) are available from a few year-round hosts for snow-camping adventurers, but most local campgrounds close November through March. Tip: book the last weekend of September to catch Knoebels' final operating weekend and peak fall color in one trip.

I'm first time renting an RV. How do I know what I'm doing?

You're going to be just fine, even on your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup, showing you how to run the generator, slide-outs, propane, water systems, and dump valves before you ever pull away. Most Danville hosts spend 30 to 60 minutes with you and leave a printed cheat sheet inside. The roads around Danville are mostly gentle: Route 11, Route 54, and Interstate 80 are wide and well-maintained. Start with a Class C motorhome or campervan rental Danville hosts offer, since they drive a lot like an oversized van. You can also message hosts with questions before booking.

What happens if I break down on the road?

You're never stranded. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering things like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing if something serious happens. One phone call gets help dispatched to your location, whether you're on Interstate 80 between Danville and Bloomsburg or deep in Ricketts Glen State Park. Your host is also a quick text away for questions about quirks specific to their rig. Tip: snap a photo of the RV's VIN and the roadside assistance number from your booking paperwork before you leave the pickup spot, so it's saved on your phone if cell service gets spotty in the Endless Mountains.

Can I drive my Danville RV rental to Canada or other states?

Yes, interstate trips are absolutely allowed and very popular. From Danville you can easily reach New York's Finger Lakes (about 3 hours north), the New Jersey Shore (around 3.5 hours east), Washington DC (about 3.5 hours south), and Niagara Falls (around 4.5 hours northwest). Cross-border travel into Canada is allowed by some hosts depending on coverage, so message the host directly from the listing to confirm before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted because protection coverage does not extend there. A classic RV road trip from Danville is the loop through the Finger Lakes wine country and back via the Poconos.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

What kind of fuel economy and gas budget should I plan for?

Budgeting is easier than you'd think. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes get roughly 8 to 12 MPG, and larger Class A coaches typically deliver 6 to 10 MPG. Gas prices in central Pennsylvania generally run close to the state average, with stations in Danville along Route 11 and near the Interstate 80 exit usually offering competitive rates. For a typical week-long Knoebels-and-Ricketts-Glen loop covering 250 to 350 miles, plan on $80 to $150 in fuel for a Class C. Tip: fill up in Danville or Bloomsburg rather than at highway exits, and check GasBuddy before pulling in. Diesel motorhomes get noticeably better range if your route is longer.
fueleconomy.gov/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Danville?

The earlier the better, especially for summer. Pennsylvania state parks like Ricketts Glen, Worlds End, and Bald Eagle accept campsite reservations up to 11 months in advance through the official PA State Parks reservation system. For July and August weekends, popular sites can sell out within minutes of release. Private campgrounds like Knoebels and Lake Glory typically book 3 to 6 months out for peak weekends but often have midweek availability even in summer. Tip: if you strike out on a weekend, try a Sunday-to-Thursday booking. You'll get the same gorgeous Susquehanna Valley scenery at a fraction of the crowd, and often a discount too.
pennsylvaniastateparks.reserveamerica.com/

What are the local driving conditions like around Danville?

Driving around Danville is genuinely beginner-friendly. Interstate 80 runs just north of town with wide lanes and gentle grades, Route 11 hugs the scenic Susquehanna River, and Route 54 takes you straight to Knoebels through rolling farmland. Watch for occasional steep grades and curves heading north toward Ricketts Glen and the Endless Mountains, where elevations climb from about 500 to over 2,000 feet. Winter (December to March) can bring snow and ice, so most renters stick to spring through fall. Deer are common at dawn and dusk, so ease off the gas at twilight. Tip: avoid Route 54 northbound on Knoebels weekends after 4pm; mornings are smooth sailing.
511pa.com/

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Danville?

Most campgrounds near Danville are well-equipped for any RV. Knoebels and Lake Glory offer full hookups (water, electric, and sewer) with 30 and 50-amp service, plus dump stations, hot showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi near common areas. Pennsylvania state parks like Ricketts Glen and Worlds End provide electric hookups, modern flush-toilet restrooms, potable water fill stations, and on-site dump stations, though full hookups are limited. Need to dump on the road? Knoebels Campground's dump station is available to guests for a small fee. Tip: top off your fresh water tank before leaving Danville since some state park hookups are seasonal and shut off after October.
pa.gov/agencies/dcnr/recreation/what-to-do/stay-overnight/rv-and-tent-campsites

What features and amenities come standard in a Danville RV rental?

You'll feel right at home. A typical motorhome rental Danville listing includes a real bed (often a queen), a kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a bathroom with toilet and shower, air conditioning, heat, and seatbelted seating for everyone traveling. Most rigs come with linens, cookware, and basic camping gear, and many include outdoor chairs, a propane grill, and a TV. Wi-Fi and generators vary by listing, so check the amenities section. Class B campervans are more compact but still include a sleeping area, mini-kitchen, and often a wet bath. Tip: filter by Sleeps 6 or Sleeps 8 to make sure the family fits comfortably, and check seatbelt count separately.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Danville,%20Pennsylvania

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Hosts offer plenty of ways to customize your trip. Common add-ons for an RV rental in Danville include bedding and linen packages ($25 to $75), kitchen kits ($25 to $50), generators ($25 to $50 per day), bike racks, propane fire pits, and even pre-stocked groceries with some hosts. Pickup is usually at the host's home in or near Danville, Bloomsburg, Lewisburg, or Selinsgrove, with a 30 to 60 minute walkthrough included free. Mileage policies, generator hours, and pet fees are clearly listed on each listing page. Tip: ask about a Knoebels delivery package if you're heading there anyway, since many hosts know the campground layout and can set you up at your exact site.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Danville,%20Pennsylvania

How do payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure through the RVezy platform. You pay your trip total by credit card at booking, and a refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) is placed as a hold on your card before your trip, then released after the RV is returned in good shape. You never hand cash to the host. To avoid any deposit issues, do a quick walk-around video at pickup and dropoff, return the rig with the same fuel level, dump the tanks if your host requires it, and tidy up after yourself. Tip: ask the host for their preferred dump station near Danville so dropoff is hassle-free.
