2022 East to West Travel Trailer
Diego was great!. Was my first time renting a traveling trailer and using the site. I was a little nervous to rent cause you dont know what will happen. I didnt calculate the correct size truck for the trailer. Diego was a problem solver and helped me solve my issue. He went out of his way to deliver the trailer to the campsite and pick it up when done. He did a lot more to accommodate the situation and went above and beyond to make this trip meaningful. I had two family members pass away last year, and extended family for the first time planned this camping trip together and it was very important we went and that I had a trailer for my family of 6. Diego made sure the trip went through and got the rental up there for us. Means a lot! I see why he is a super host and is just a great soul. Thanks Diego we will be renting from you again and again.

We had a wonderful time staying in this RV for our Lagoon trip. Everything was setup up beautifully when we arrived and felt very inviting - little details like nice decor and the outdoor setup with a large rug and nice camp chairs made a noticeable difference. The rv was very clean and all beds made meticulously (we have not had this experience with all rentals - oftentimes the bunks are not made and/or sheets not provided when we were told sheets included). Appreciate Lincoln being responsive but at the same time very laid back (not 100s of questions as we have had before, adding stress). Would definitely rent again!

Top picks include Willard Bay State Park (10 minutes north, lakefront sites with full hookups and a sandy swim beach), Century RV Park in Ogden (full-service, big-rig friendly, easy I-15 access), Fort Buenaventura in Ogden (rustic, riverside, dog-friendly), Anderson Cove Campground at Pineview Reservoir (boating and paddleboarding right out front), and Monte Cristo Campground high in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest for cooler summer nights. When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Farr West?

Farr West has a real four-season climate, so timing matters. The sweet spot for RV camping in Farr West is late May through mid-October, when daytime highs sit between 70 and 90°F and overnight lows stay comfortable in the 50s and 60s. July and August are warmest (highs in the mid-80s to mid-90s), perfect for Pineview Reservoir and Bear Lake. September is the local insider pick: warm days, cool nights, fewer crowds, and golden aspens up Ogden Canyon. Winter trips are doable with a four-season rig, think snowshoeing weekends near Snowbasin Resort, just 30 minutes away.

I'm a first-timer, will I actually know how to use the RV?

Yes, and you'll feel like a pro by day two. First time renting an RV? Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup (or at delivery, if they're bringing it to you in Farr West), covering the generator, slide-outs, water tanks, propane, awning, and dump procedure. Most hosts also send a written or video cheat sheet you can reference at the campground. You can message your host anytime during the trip with questions, and RVezy support is available if you get stuck. Tip: do a practice run by driving to Willard Bay before tackling a longer loop, it's flat, friendly, and only 10 minutes away.

You can also message your host directly through the RVezy app, they often know the rig's quirks best. Tip: snap a photo of your VIN and license plate before you leave the driveway, it speeds up any service call.

Can I take my Farr West RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, cross-state travel is one of the best parts of renting from Farr West. You're free to drive your RV into Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and beyond. Popular routes include Farr West to Yellowstone (about 5 hours via I-15 and US-20), Farr West to Grand Teton (4.5 hours), and the full Mighty 5 Utah national parks loop. Travel into Canada may be allowed with host approval and confirmation that protection extends across the border, message the host before booking. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because protection coverage does not extend south of the border.

What should I budget for fuel on an RV road trip from Farr West?

Easy to plan for: Utah gas prices typically run close to the national average, and Farr West sits right on I-15 with fuel stops at the Flying J in Willard and stations along US-89. Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 miles per gallon (MPG), travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10 to 14 MPG), and campervans can hit 18 to 22 MPG. For a 500-mile loop to Bear Lake and back through Logan Canyon, budget roughly $120 to $200 in fuel for a mid-size motorhome. Tip: fill up in Farr West or Ogden before heading into the mountains, prices climb noticeably in Garden City and Jackson.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Farr West?

Book early and you'll get the best sites. Utah State Parks (Willard Bay, Antelope Island, Bear Lake) open reservations exactly four months ahead through the Utah State Parks reservation system, and summer weekends, especially July 4 and Labor Day, sell out within minutes of opening. National Forest campgrounds like Anderson Cove and Monte Cristo book on recreation.gov on a rolling six-month window. For a Farr West RV trip during peak season, aim to reserve 8 to 12 weeks ahead. Tip: Sunday through Wednesday nights at Willard Bay are far easier to grab and just as gorgeous, set a calendar reminder for the four-month reservation drop.

What's the driving like around Farr West and northern Utah?

Farr West is one of the easier RV launchpads in the West. The town sits on flat farmland just off I-15, with wide roads and straightforward exits, so you can ease into your rig before hitting any mountain passes. Heading east up Ogden Canyon (UT-39) toward Pineview is scenic but narrow in spots, take it slow in a larger motorhome. Winter brings snow and ice from November through March, so check UDOT Traffic or call 511 before driving the canyons. Tip: avoid I-15 southbound into Salt Lake City between 7 and 9 a.m. on weekdays, the commute can crawl.

What amenities do campgrounds near Farr West offer?

You'll find everything from full-hookup luxury to off-grid simplicity within a short drive of Farr West. Willard Bay State Park and Century RV Park in Ogden offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), hot showers, and dump stations on-site. National Forest spots like Anderson Cove and Monte Cristo are more rustic, with vault toilets and potable water spigots, but the views are unbeatable. For dumping and refilling between stays, the Flying J in Willard has convenient RV dump and freshwater fill stations. Tip: top off fresh water before leaving Farr West, mountain campground spigots sometimes shut off after the first October freeze.

What's actually inside the RV, beds, kitchen, Wi-Fi, generator?

More than you'd expect, these are real homes on wheels. A typical motorhome rental Farr West listing on RVezy sleeps 4 to 8 with a queen bed, bunks, and a convertible dinette, plus a kitchen with a fridge/freezer, propane stove, microwave, and sink. Bathrooms include a toilet and shower, and most rigs have air conditioning, furnace, and a TV. Generators come standard on Class A and Class C motorhomes for off-grid power, and many travel trailers offer solar. Wi-Fi varies, some hosts include a mobile hotspot; otherwise, plan to use your phone as a tether. Tip: filter by Sleeps count and confirm seatbelt count if you're traveling with kids.

What add-ons and pickup options should I look at when I rent an RV in Farr West?

Popular add-ons make your trip smoother. Most Farr West hosts offer extras like camp chairs and tables, bedding and linen kits, kitchen packages, BBQs, generators, bike racks, and propane refills, usually $15 to $75 each. Pickup is typically at the host's home in Farr West, Plain City, or Ogden, and many hosts also offer RV delivery in Farr West to nearby campgrounds or your driveway for a per-mile fee. Mileage policies vary (often 100 to 150 free miles per day), and some hosts unlock unlimited mileage as a paid upgrade. Tip: bundle linens, kitchen kit, and delivery when you book, hosts often discount package add-ons.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038107014-Add-ons

How does payment and the security deposit work on an RVezy booking?

Simple and secure: you pay through RVezy, never directly to the host, and your card is charged in clear stages so there are no surprises. At booking you'll pay a deposit to lock in your dates, with the remaining balance due before pickup. A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) is held shortly before your trip and released after a smooth return, no damage, tanks dumped, fuel topped off. To avoid issues, do a thorough walkaround with the host at pickup and snap photos of any existing scratches. Tip: keep fuel and dump-station receipts as proof if there's ever a question at return.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Can I rent an RV in Farr West during winter, and is it worth it?

Yes, and winter in northern Utah is genuinely magical from an RV. Several Farr West hosts keep four-season RVs available year-round, look for listings noting heated and enclosed holding tanks, an insulated underbelly, and shore-power hookups for sustained cold. You're 30 minutes from Snowbasin Resort and Powder Mountain (two of Utah's best ski areas), and Willard Bay's quiet winter loops stay open with electric hookups. Plan to camp where you have 30/50-amp shore power so the furnace can run freely overnight, and ask about a heated water hose add-on. Tip: book midweek in January or February for ski-adjacent RV camping at a fraction of hotel prices near Eden and Huntsville.
