This was our first time renting an RV or camper van of any type. Clark made the experience great. Everything was on point and Clark went above and beyond. The van was very well appointed, comfortable, and reliable. The bed was very comfortable and Clark was quick to respond to any requests before and during the trip. He has a passion for his van and to be able to rent it was a pleasure.

Brandon was great to work with, very communicative. The RV was nice, we had 3 adults and 2 dogs and it had ample room. It was nice to have all the cooking utensils and pans, bowls, accessories we needed. We had the RV delivered and this was great, to load up and leave for our trip. Well worth it. I would recommend this RV and plan to rent from Brandon again. .

We enjoyed this Van for a 3 night camp. It was super hot and thus the generator driven air conditioner was a life saver! It is fun and easy to drive. The instructional videos were very helpful and enabled us to use all of the features we needed. Pick up and drop off were easy. Sarah was great to work with, and was super responsive. We will rent this van again.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Holladay, UT
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Holladay, UT?
RV rental in Holladay is surprisingly affordable compared to hotel stays in nearby Salt Lake City, especially when you're traveling with family. On RVezy, you can typically find travel trailers starting around $90 to $140 per night, Class C motorhomes in the $175 to $275 range, and luxury Class A coaches from $300 and up. To score a cheap RV rental in Holladay, book midweek, travel during the shoulder seasons of late April or October, and look for listings that include generator hours or free miles. Pro tip: filter by Instant Book to see verified, ready-to-go RVs and lock in your dates before Utah's busy summer national-park season fills up.
visitutah.com/places-to-go/cities-and-towns/holladayDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Holladay, Utah?
Good news: a regular drivers license is all you need to rent an RV in Holladay for any standard motorhome or travel trailer. Utah exempts personal-use recreational vehicles from Commercial Driver License requirements, so your everyday Class D license covers Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, and most Class A coaches. To book on RVezy you need to be at least 25 years old with a valid license, and ID confirmation is handled right through the platform. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit along with your home-country license. Most first-time renters are surprised how quickly verification wraps up.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection and roadside assistance comes with my Holladay RV rental?
Every booking on RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the road from Holladay with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers eligible damage to the vehicle during your trip, and you choose your level of coverage at checkout (it is not set by the host). Roadside assistance is included and handles flat tires, lockouts, jump starts, and towing whether you are parked in your Holladay driveway or climbing toward Brighton in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Pro tip: save the RVezy support number to your phone before pickup so help is one tap away.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat is the cancellation policy if my Holladay RV trip plans change?
Booking your RV rental in Holladay is low-risk: RVezy sets the cancellation policy at the platform level (not the individual host), and there is a grace period right after booking so you can lock in dates with confidence. Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel and whether unusual events such as wildfires or major Wasatch winter storms affect your trip. Because the policy is platform-wide, you will not see different rules on different listings. Pro tip: book early to claim the best Wasatch-view rigs, then review the full policy on the RVezy Help Center before you finalize.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Holladay?
Yes, pet-friendly RV rental in Holladay is easy to find on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you will see hosts who welcome furry co-pilots. Holladay is dog-friendly too: Tanner Park along Parleys Creek has an off-leash area, and you are minutes from canyon trails. Note that dogs are not allowed in the Big or Little Cottonwood Canyon watersheds because they are protected drinking-water sources, so plan hikes in Mill Creek Canyon or Parleys instead. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any pet fees and you are set.
fs.usda.gov/uwcnfCan the RV be delivered to me in Holladay so I do not have to drive it?
Yes, RV delivery in Holladay is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-time renters. Many local hosts will drive the RV to your driveway, a campground like Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon, or Jordanelle State Park about 35 minutes east. They level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. Delivery fees are typically a flat fee plus a per-mile rate based on distance. Pro tip: filter by Delivery on RVezy and message hosts with your exact campsite number, many will send a quote within the hour.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/jordanelle/How far can I drive from Holladay on a typical RV rental mileage policy?
Plenty far, Holladay is one of the best launch pads in the West for an RV road trip. Most RVezy hosts offer 100 to 150 free miles per day, and some list RV rental with unlimited mileage, perfect for the Mighty 5 national parks loop. From Holladay you can reach Park City in about 30 minutes, Antelope Island State Park in about 1 hour, Bear Lake in about 2.5 hours, Arches National Park in roughly 3.5 to 4 hours (about 235 miles), and Zion National Park in about 4.5 hours (about 310 miles). Pro tip: filter listings by mileage policy and message the host to bundle extra miles upfront, it is usually cheaper than paying overages later.
nps.gov/arch/planyourvisit/directions.htmWhere are the best campgrounds near Holladay for an RV camping trip?
You are spoiled for choice with RV camping near Holladay. Spruces Campground in Big Cottonwood Canyon (about 20 miles up Highway 190) sits around 7,400 feet with creekside sites and cool summer nights. Tanners Flat in Little Cottonwood Canyon is another forest-service favorite. For full hookups, try Pony Express RV Resort in North Salt Lake (about 20 minutes) or the Salt Lake City KOA Holiday near downtown. Heading toward Park City? Jordanelle State Park Hailstone offers full-hookup sites with reservoir views. Pro tip: book Spruces six months out through Recreation.gov, summer weekends sell out the morning reservations open.
recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/233851When is the best time of year to rent an RV in Holladay?
Holladay sits at 4,580 feet in the Salt Lake Valley with four genuine seasons, so the sweet spot for an RV trip is mid-May through late June and again from early September to mid-October. Summer highs hit around 91°F in July (Wasatch canyons stay 10 to 15 degrees cooler), winter brings 52 inches of snow on average, and shoulder seasons combine warm days, cool nights, and uncrowded trails. Aspens turn brilliant gold in late September up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Pro tip: if you're chasing fall color, book your motorhome rental in Holladay for the last week of September, the Guardsman Pass drive between Brighton and Park City is absolutely unmissable.
weather.gov/slc/I've never driven an RV before. Is renting in Holladay really beginner-friendly?
Yes, first time renting an RV in Holladay is easier than you'd think. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through the generator, slide-outs, tanks, propane, and leveling, usually 30 to 60 minutes. Holladay's wide suburban streets like 6200 South and Highland Drive are perfect for getting comfortable before you head anywhere bigger. Stick to a Class C motorhome or travel trailer under 25 feet for your first trip, and many guests choose delivery so they skip city driving entirely. Pro tip: message your host beforehand with any questions, RVezy's 24/7 support team is also there from booking through return.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/rv-safetyWhat happens if I have a breakdown or roadside issue during my Holladay RV trip?
You are covered: 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every RVezy booking, no matter where your Holladay RV trip takes you. Whether it is a flat tire on I-215, a dead battery at Jordanelle, or a propane question high up in Little Cottonwood Canyon, one call gets help dispatched. RVezy support is also available around the clock to help you reach your host, troubleshoot an appliance, or coordinate a tow. Pro tip: snap a photo of the RV VIN and license plate at pickup so dispatch can move fast if you ever need them.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037957433-Roadside-assistance-overviewCan I take my Holladay RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, an RV road trip from Holladay across state lines is normal and one of the joys of renting here. From Holladay you can easily reach Yellowstone (about 5 hours north), Grand Teton, Jackson Hole, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon North Rim, and Idahos Sawtooths on RV-friendly roads. Cross-border travel into Canada is possible with host approval and proper documentation, so message them through the listing to confirm before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because the insurance and protection plan do not extend there. Pro tip: popular multi-state loops from Holladay include the Mighty 5 in Utah and the Greater Yellowstone circuit.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I plan for in Holladay?
Real talk on fuel: Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class A coaches 6 to 10 mpg, campervans 14 to 20 mpg, and a truck towing a travel trailer lands around 10 to 14 mpg. Utah gas prices typically run a few cents below the national average, with stations along 2300 East and Wasatch Boulevard in Holladay convenient for fill-ups before you head up the canyons. For budgeting a Mighty 5 loop (about 1,100 miles round trip), figure roughly $300 to $450 in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: top off in Holladay before climbing Parleys Canyon, prices jump at gas stations closer to Park City and Heber.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book campgrounds for my Holladay RV trip?
Book early, Utahs campgrounds are some of the most coveted in the country. National forest campgrounds like Spruces and Tanners Flat open reservations six months in advance on Recreation.gov, and prime summer weekends fill within minutes. Utah State Parks such as Jordanelle, Antelope Island, and Wasatch Mountain release sites four months ahead through ReserveAmerica via the Utah State Parks site. Private RV resorts in the Salt Lake Valley usually have more flexibility but still sell out for holiday weekends. Pro tip: set a calendar alert for the exact morning reservations open, that is when locals snag the best campgrounds near Holladay.
stateparks.utah.gov/the-parks/park-reservations/What are the local driving conditions like around Holladay?
Holladay driving is mostly easy: a quiet suburb with wide arterials, easy I-215 access, and the Wasatch Front rising right out your windshield. The catch is altitude and grade, Big Cottonwood Canyon climbs from 4,500 feet to 8,700 feet at Brighton in about 14 miles, so use lower gears on the descent and watch for cyclists. Little Cottonwood is even steeper. In winter (November through April), traction-law requirements apply on the canyon roads, and you may need chains or 4WD with snow tires. Summer afternoon thunderstorms in July and August can hit fast. Pro tip: drive canyons in the early morning to beat traffic and catch sunrise on the peaks.
udot.utah.gov/connect/public/road-conditions/What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Holladay?
Campgrounds around Holladay range from full-service resorts to rustic forest sites, so you can pick your comfort level. Salt Lake City KOA and Pony Express RV Resort offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, laundry, pools, and dump stations. Up in Big Cottonwood, Spruces Campground has vault toilets, drinking-water spigots, picnic tables, and fire rings, but no hookups, so you'll boondock on battery and water tanks. Public dump stations and freshwater fills are available at the Salt Lake City KOA and several travel plazas off I-15. Pro tip: top off freshwater and dump tanks in Holladay before heading up the canyons, mountain campgrounds rarely have RV-friendly fill stations.
fs.usda.gov/recarea/uwcnf/recreation/camping-cabins/recarea/?recid=8516&actid=29What is typically included inside an RV rental from Holladay?
Most RVs on RVezy come ready to camp: queen or king bed, bunk options, full kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge and freezer, bathroom with shower and toilet, dinette and sofa seating with travel seatbelts, furnace, air conditioning, and propane. Many listings include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor speakers, and an onboard generator (handy for boondocking up Big Cottonwood). Cell service is solid throughout Holladay and patchy in the canyons, and some hosts offer a mobile hotspot as an add-on. Pro tip: scroll the listings amenity list and message the host to confirm bedding, kitchenware, and outdoor chairs, many Holladay hosts include these at no extra cost.
rvezy.com/What popular add-ons and pickup options do Holladay RV hosts offer?
Holladay hosts are known for thoughtful add-ons that make your trip easier. Common extras include linen and towel packages ($25 to $75), camp chairs and outdoor mats, generators with fuel included, bike racks, propane fire pits, sani-hose and electrical adapters, and pre-stocked kitchen kits. Many also offer ski-rack swaps in winter. Pickup is usually at the host's Holladay home or a nearby meeting point near 6200 South and I-215, and delivery to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is about 20 minutes away. Mileage policies vary but typically run 100 to 150 free miles per day. Pro tip: bundle add-ons upfront, hosts often discount packages compared to a la carte.
slcairport.com/How does payment and the security deposit work on an RVezy Holladay rental?
Payment is simple and secure: you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host. The security deposit is separate from your booking payment and is held (not charged) on your card before pickup, then released after the trip once the RV is returned in the same condition. Deposit amounts vary by listing and you will see the exact number before you book. To avoid issues, do a thorough walk-through video with your host at pickup and drop-off, noting fuel level, mileage, and tank status. Pro tip: keep your check-in photos in a dedicated phone album, it makes resolving any post-trip question effortless.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksCan I rent an RV in Holladay in the winter for a ski trip?
Yes, and it's an absolute blast, Holladay is the closest valley town to Brighton, Solitude, Alta, and Snowbird, with all four resorts under 45 minutes away. Many RVezy hosts list four-season rigs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and propane furnaces that handle Utah's cold nights. You'll want to stay at a park with full winter hookups (shore power so the furnace doesn't drain batteries), Mountain Shadows RV Park and Pony Express RV Resort both stay open year-round. Canyon campgrounds close from October to May. Pro tip: filter for winter-ready RVs on RVezy and ask your host about heat-tape on the water hose, a small detail that prevents big freeze-ups.
