This was our first time renting an RV or camper van of any type. Clark made the experience great. Everything was on point and Clark went above and beyond. The van was very well appointed, comfortable, and reliable. The bed was very comfortable and Clark was quick to respond to any requests before and during the trip. He has a passion for his van and to be able to rent it was a pleasure.

We enjoyed this Van for a 3 night camp. It was super hot and thus the generator driven air conditioner was a life saver! It is fun and easy to drive. The instructional videos were very helpful and enabled us to use all of the features we needed. Pick up and drop off were easy. Sarah was great to work with, and was super responsive. We will rent this van again.

Yes, every RV rental in Riverdale, UT booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance. The protection plan helps cover physical damage to the RV during your trip, giving you financial peace of mind without buying outside insurance. During checkout you choose from protection tiers so you can match coverage to your comfort level, and hosts do not set this, you do. help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat is the cancellation policy if my Riverdale trip plans change?
Booking is low risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every rental (hosts do not), and the policy is shown clearly during checkout and in your booking confirmation. The exact refund amount depends on how far in advance you cancel relative to your trip start date. If a host cancels, RVezy works with you on a refund or credit so you are not negotiating directly. Booking early helps secure the best Riverdale RVs for summer weekends, and if your plans change you can reach out to RVezy support, who handle cancellations directly.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Riverdale RV trip?
Absolutely — pet-friendly RV rental Riverdale options are plentiful on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you'll see motorhomes and trailers whose hosts welcome dogs (and sometimes cats). Once you're on the road, you have fantastic local options: Antelope Island State Park (about 50 minutes away) allows leashed dogs on the causeway and several trails, and the Weber River Parkway in Riverdale itself is a great spot for a morning walk before you hit the road. Snowbasin and the Ogden River Parkway are also dog-friendly. Pro tip: message the host before booking to mention your dog's size and breed, and ask about any cleaning fee — most Riverdale hosts are very accommodating.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/antelope-island/Can the RV be delivered to me in Riverdale?
Yes, RV delivery Riverdale is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it is a game changer if it is your first time renting an RV. Many local hosts will drive the RV to your home, hotel, or directly to a campground like Century RV Park in Ogden, Willard Bay State Park, or Anderson Cove at Pineview Reservoir, then level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. Delivery fees are set by each host and typically scale with mileage from their location. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to find hosts who offer it, and message them with your campsite address for an exact quote.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Riverdale%2C%20UtahHow far can I drive on a Riverdale RV rental, and is unlimited mileage available?
You have real range from Riverdale, and RV rental with unlimited mileage is offered by many hosts on RVezy (look for it called out on the listing). Other hosts include a set number of free miles per night with a small per-mile fee beyond that, which is plenty for trips like Antelope Island State Park (about 50 miles round trip), Bear Lake (about 180 miles round trip), Snowbasin and Huntsville (about 50 miles round trip), or a longer RV road trip from Riverdale to Moab and Arches National Park (around 460 miles one way). If you are planning a big loop, filter for unlimited-mileage listings or message the host to arrange a larger mileage allowance up front.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Riverdale%2C%20UtahWhere are the best campgrounds near Riverdale, UT for an RV?
The best campgrounds near Riverdale include Century RV Park in Ogden (clean, walkable, friendly staff), Mountain Shadows RV Park in South Weber (full hookups close to I-84), Willard Bay State Park about 15 miles north (two campgrounds on the Great Salt Lake), and Anderson Cove Campground at Pineview Reservoir in Huntsville (about 25 miles east in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest). For a longer adventure, Antelope Island's Bridger Bay Campground is a memorable spot with bison sightings and dark skies. Reserve state park sites early through the Utah State Parks reservation system and national forest sites through Recreation.gov.
stateparks.utah.gov/activities/camping/tent-rv/When is the best time to rent an RV in Riverdale, UT?
Late May through early October is the sweet spot for RV camping Riverdale, with average summer highs in the 80s to low 90s and mostly dry, sunny days along the Wasatch Front. June and September are arguably the best months: warm days, cool nights, fewer crowds, and lower rental rates than peak July and August. Fall brings stunning aspen color through Ogden Canyon and around Snowbasin from late September into mid-October. Winters are cold with regular snow, but adventurous renters can book heated, four-season RVs for ski trips to Snowbasin or Powder Mountain. Confirm with the host that the unit is winterized and rated for cold weather use.
weather.gov/slc/I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay starting from Riverdale?
You will be just fine. Riverdale is one of the easier launch points in Utah for first time renting an RV. I-84 and I-15 meet here with wide lanes, gentle grades, and easy on-ramps, so you can build confidence before heading into the mountains. Every RVezy host gives a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering the engine, propane, slide-outs, leveling, water systems, and the dump procedure, typically 30 to 60 minutes. If you would rather skip city driving entirely, choose delivery so the RV arrives set up at your campground. Pick a Class C motorhome or smaller travel trailer for your first trip, they drive like a large van and park much more easily than a Class A.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat happens if I have a breakdown or issue on the road?
You are covered around the clock. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat on I-84, a dead battery at Willard Bay, or a generator that will not start in the Uintas is one phone call away from help. RVezy customer support is also available before, during, and after your trip for non-mechanical issues like booking questions, host communication, or payments. Your host is usually a quick text away too and can often troubleshoot small quirks remotely. Save the roadside number to your phone before you leave Riverdale and you will never feel stranded.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Riverdale RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is wide open from Riverdale, UT. Popular RV road trips from Riverdale include Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming (about 320 miles north), Grand Teton (about 300 miles), Jackson Hole (about 290 miles), Craters of the Moon in Idaho (about 220 miles), and the southern Utah loop through Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce, and Zion. Cross-border travel into Canada depends on the host and the protection plan, so message the host directly before booking to confirm and get approval in writing. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage do not extend there. Plan your route, confirm with your host, and hit the road.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow much should I budget for fuel on a Riverdale RV trip?
Fuel is one of the more predictable costs. Most Class C motorhomes near Riverdale get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class A motorhomes 6 to 9 MPG, and campervans (Class B) 15 to 20 MPG. Utah gas prices typically run close to or slightly below the US average, and you will find competitive stations near the Riverdale Road and 1900 West exits off I-84, plus Costco in Riverdale for members. For a 4-day, 400-mile trip in a Class C, budget roughly $150 to $200 in gas depending on current prices. Fill up before heading into the Uintas or up to Bear Lake, since prices climb in remote stretches and stations get sparse east of Huntsville.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Riverdale?
Book sooner than you think, especially for summer. Utah State Parks (Antelope Island, Willard Bay, East Canyon) open reservations up to four months ahead through the official Utah State Parks reservation system at stateparks.utah.gov, and prime weekend sites in June, July, and August disappear within hours. National forest sites like Anderson Cove at Pineview Reservoir release through Recreation.gov six months in advance. Private parks like Riverside RV Resort and Century RV Park are more flexible and can often be booked 2-4 weeks out. Pro tip: if everything looks full, check for cancellations on Sunday evenings — that's when no-shows from the previous weekend free up.
stateparks.utah.gov/reservations/What are the driving conditions like around Riverdale?
Driving an RV around Riverdale is friendlier than at many Utah destinations. The city sits near the I-84 and I-15 junction with wide interstates, gentle grades, and clear signage. Watch for afternoon canyon winds through Weber Canyon heading east toward Morgan, and winter snow on US-89 up to Ogden Valley and Snowbasin, where traction devices may be required from late fall through spring. Avoid driving tall rigs through downtown Ogden's older streets and the historic 25th Street area and stick to main arteries. Check UDOT road conditions on udot.utah.gov before any mountain drive, especially if you are crossing Trappers Loop (SR-167) to Huntsville.
udot.utah.gov/connect/public/road-weather/What amenities do campgrounds near Riverdale offer for RVs?
You will find excellent hookup options close to home. Century RV Park in Ogden and Mountain Shadows RV Park in South Weber offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, laundry, and showers. State parks like Willard Bay and Antelope Island offer partial hookups (electric and water) with dump stations on-site. For dumping and freshwater fills between trips, many private parks and KOAs in the region offer paid dump access. Boondocking is allowed in many areas of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest and on Bureau of Land Management land, but bring full tanks since water is not available off-grid. Arrive at hookup sites with empty gray and black tanks for maximum freedom.

Many also include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and onboard generator for boondocking. Wi-Fi is not standard but some hosts add a mobile hotspot. Payment is simple and secure. When you book through RVezy, you pay the full rental amount (plus the protection plan and any add-ons) through the platform with a credit or debit card, no cash, no checks, no awkward exchanges with the host. A refundable security deposit is also held before pickup, with the amount set per RV and shown clearly on the listing before you book. As long as the RV comes back in the same condition with no policy violations, the deposit is released after the trip ends. Take date-stamped photos and a quick video of the RV inside and out at pickup and dropoff to make any deposit question easy to resolve.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksWhat's a great family RV trip itinerary starting from Riverdale?

Night 2 at Bridger Bay Campground on Antelope Island (about 50 miles south, bison sightings and stargazing over the Great Salt Lake).
