2022 Class B
This was our first time renting an RV or camper van of any type. Clark made the experience great. Everything was on point and Clark went above and beyond. The van was very well appointed, comfortable, and reliable. The bed was very comfortable and Clark was quick to respond to any requests before and during the trip. He has a passion for his van and to be able to rent it was a pleasure.

Brandon was great to work with, very communicative. The RV was nice, we had 3 adults and 2 dogs and it had ample room. It was nice to have all the cooking utensils and pans, bowls, accessories we needed. We had the RV delivered and this was great, to load up and leave for our trip. Well worth it. I would recommend this RV and plan to rent from Brandon again. .

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Stansbury Park, UT
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Stansbury Park, UT?
RV rental in Stansbury Park is often more affordable than booking right in Salt Lake City. On RVezy, travel trailers typically average around $125 to $175 per night and motorhomes around $200 to $275 per night near Tooele County, with many hosts offering 10 to 20 percent discounts on weekly or monthly bookings. You can stretch your budget by booking shoulder season trips in April, May, September, or October, when demand drops but Wasatch and Stansbury Range scenery is still spectacular. Pro tip: filter for cheap RV rental Stansbury Park options like older travel trailers, then ask the host about delivery to nearby Grantsville Reservoir to skip tow vehicle costs entirely.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Stansbury%20Park%2C%20UtahDo I need a special driver's license to rent an RV in Stansbury Park?
Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Stansbury Park. Utah does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement for personal use motorhomes, which covers virtually every Class B campervan, Class C motorhome, travel trailer, and fifth wheel on RVezy. RVezy approved drivers are generally 25 or older with a valid license, and your ID is verified directly through the platform during booking. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home auto club before you fly into Salt Lake City International Airport (about 30 minutes from Stansbury Park) and you are ready to roll.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection is included with my Stansbury Park RV rental?
You are covered from the moment you book. Every RV rental in Stansbury Park on RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can head out on I-80 toward the Bonneville Salt Flats or the gravel road to Stansbury Island knowing help is one call away. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV up to the plan's limits and includes liability coverage during your trip. During booking, you choose the protection level that fits your trip, so you can dial in the right balance of price and coverage before you ever pick up the keys to your motorhome rental in Stansbury Park.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Stansbury Park RV trip?
Booking your Stansbury Park RV trip is low risk. RVezy applies a clear, platform wide cancellation policy (hosts do not set their own), so you know exactly what to expect. Refunds depend on how far ahead of your trip you cancel, and additional protections apply when something like a Wasatch winter storm closing I-80 disrupts your plans. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds your booking or provides travel credits so your trip can stay on track. The current refund windows are detailed in the RVezy Help Center, so you can review them before you confirm and book with confidence.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Stansbury Park RV rental?
Absolutely, and your pup will love it. Use the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to instantly see every pet-friendly RV rental in Stansbury Park, and you'll find plenty of hosts who welcome dogs (some charge a small pet cleaning fee, all listed upfront). Once you've got the rig, the area is a dog's dream: leashed dogs are welcome at Antelope Island State Park's Bridger Bay Campground, the Stansbury Front Trail in the Stansbury Range, and along the Oquirrh Mountain foothills. Pro tip: bring extra water for desert hikes and avoid the salt-crusted Great Salt Lake shoreline in summer, when temperatures can blister paws.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/antelope-island/Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Stansbury Park?
Yes, and it is the easiest way to start your trip. Many RVezy hosts offer RV delivery in Stansbury Park, meaning they will drop the RV at your campsite (think Antelope Island's Bridger Bay, Grantsville Reservoir, or Settlement Canyon), level it, hook up the utilities, and walk you through every system before they leave. Delivery fees vary by host and distance and are listed clearly on each listing. This is a game changer if it is your first time renting an RV, because you skip the highway driving entirely and arrive to a fully set up basecamp. Just message the host before booking to confirm delivery to your specific destination.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038841453-Delivery-options-for-rentersHow far can I drive on a Stansbury Park RV trip?
You are sitting on one of Utah's best launch pads for an RV road trip from Stansbury Park. Mileage policies are set by each host and shown on every listing, with some offering RV rental with unlimited mileage for longer adventures. From Stansbury Park, you are about 35 minutes to Salt Lake City, 1 hour to Antelope Island State Park, about 45 minutes to Park City, 2.5 hours to Bear Lake on the Idaho border, and roughly 4 hours to Zion National Park. Arches National Park near Moab is about 235 miles southeast (around 4 hours). Pro tip: ask hosts about unlimited mileage if you are chasing multiple national parks.
nps.gov/arch/planyourvisit/directions.htmWhere are the best campgrounds near Stansbury Park, UT?
You have fantastic options within an hour. Settlement Canyon Reservoir in Tooele offers RV sites with mountain views and deer roaming the area, a great first RV camping Stansbury Park experience. Grantsville Reservoir, just 15 minutes west, has lakefront RV sites managed by Tooele County. Antelope Island State Park's Bridger Bay Campground (about an hour northeast) puts you on the Great Salt Lake with bison wandering past. For full service amenities, Pony Express RV Resort in North Salt Lake offers concrete pads, a pool, and dog runs. Book Antelope Island four months out via the Utah State Parks reservation system, it fills fast for summer weekends.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/antelope-island/camping-opportunities/When is the best time to rent an RV in Stansbury Park?
Stansbury Park has a true four season climate, so the best time depends on your style. May through early October is prime time, with summer days typically in the mid 80s to mid 90s and cool nights perfect for campfires (Stansbury sits at about 4,300 feet, so evenings cool quickly). September and October are the local insider's pick: summer haze clears, aspens turn gold in the Stansbury Range, and the Antelope Island Bison Roundup happens in late October. April and May bring wildflowers in South Willow Canyon and fewer crowds. Winter is doable for cold weather equipped RVs and gives you easy access to nearby Solitude, Brighton, and Snowbird skiing, plus excellent stargazing in the high desert.
weather.gov/slc/I've never rented an RV before. Will I know how to use it?
First time renting an RV? You are in good hands. Every RVezy host provides a hands on orientation at pickup (or at your delivery location) where they walk you through the generator, propane, water systems, slides, awning, and dump procedures, usually 30 to 60 minutes. You can message your host with questions before booking too, and 24/7 roadside assistance is included if something stumps you on the road. For your Stansbury Park RV trip, consider starting with a Class C motorhome or travel trailer (easier to handle than a 40 foot Class A) and a short first night at Grantsville Reservoir, just 15 minutes away. You will feel confident by day two.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002193694-RentersWhat happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?
You are never stranded. Every Stansbury Park RV rental on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing. If something mechanical comes up on a remote stretch like the Pony Express Trail south of Stansbury Park or on the causeway to Antelope Island, you call one number and help is dispatched. You can also message your host directly through the RVezy app, since owners often know their rig's quirks better than anyone. Pro tip: snap a quick photo of your roadside assistance contact info and save it offline before you leave cell range past Skull Valley.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityCan I take my Stansbury Park RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes to interstate trips, and that is where Stansbury Park shines as a basecamp. Most RVezy hosts allow travel throughout the lower 48, opening up classic routes like Stansbury Park to Yellowstone (about 5.5 hours north), Grand Teton National Park (about 5 hours), Great Basin National Park in Nevada (about 3.5 hours west), and the full Mighty 5 Utah parks loop. Travel into Canada is sometimes allowed depending on the host and insurance arrangements, so message your host before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: the I-80 corridor west toward Wendover makes for a stunning sunset drive past the Bonneville Salt Flats.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how do I budget for gas?
Plan smart and fuel won't sink your trip. A Class C motorhome typically gets 8-12 MPG, a Class B campervan rental Stansbury Park style gets 16-20 MPG, and a truck-towed travel trailer drops your tow vehicle to roughly 10-14 MPG. Utah gas prices generally run a bit below the national average, with several stations along Highway 36 in Stansbury Park and Tooele making fill-ups easy before you head out. For a 4-day, 500-mile loop in a Class C, budget around $200-$300 in fuel. Pro tip: top off in Tooele before heading west on I-80 toward the salt flats, since stations get sparse past Grantsville.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Stansbury Park?
Earlier is better, especially for the best campgrounds near Stansbury Park. Antelope Island State Park opens reservations on a four month rolling basis through the Utah State Parks system, and Bridger Bay sells out fast for summer weekends and the late October Bison Roundup. Tooele County's Grantsville Reservoir and Settlement Canyon campgrounds should be reserved 1 to 2 months ahead for summer weekends. Uinta Wasatch Cache National Forest campgrounds like Loop and Boy Scout in South Willow Canyon book via recreation.gov up to six months out. For midweek shoulder season trips, two to three weeks of lead time is usually plenty. Pro tip: weekdays stay wide open most of the summer.
recreation.gov/What are the driving conditions like around Stansbury Park?
Driving here is friendlier than you might expect. Stansbury Park sits in Tooele Valley at about 4,300 feet between the Stansbury and Oquirrh Mountains, with wide, low-traffic roads compared to Salt Lake City. I-80 east to SLC is a straight 35-minute shot, and Highway 36 south to Tooele is easy two-lane driving. Watch for crosswinds on the Great Salt Lake causeway to Antelope Island and on I-80 west toward Wendover, where gusts can push a high-profile RV. South Willow Canyon's upper gravel road is narrow and steep above the Boy Scout Campground, so leave bigger rigs at lower campgrounds. Winter brings occasional snowstorms; check udottraffic.utah.gov before any November-March trip.
udottraffic.utah.gov/What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Stansbury Park?
You will find a great mix depending on your style. Full hookup parks near Tooele offer water, sewer, 30 and 50 amp electric, picnic tables, and fire rings. Antelope Island's Bridger Bay has water and electric hookups in the upper loop, flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station, but no sewer hookups at individual sites. South Willow Canyon's Forest Service campgrounds (Loop, Boy Scout, Cottonwood, Lower Narrows) are primitive with vault toilets and no potable water, so fill your fresh tank before you go. Public dump stations are available at Antelope Island and at most full service RV parks in Tooele. Pro tip: Maverik gas stations in Tooele often allow potable water fill ups.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/antelope-island/camping-opportunities/What's inside a typical RV rental in Stansbury Park?
Expect a fully equipped home on wheels. Most Stansbury Park RV rentals come with a queen or king bed, a convertible dinette, a kitchen with a propane stove, microwave, and fridge/freezer, a wet bath or full bathroom with shower, a roof mounted air conditioner (essential for hot July afternoons), and a furnace for cool desert nights. Many include a generator, solar panels for boondocking on nearby BLM land, a TV, and Wi-Fi or cell boosters (though signal can be spotty in South Willow Canyon). Seatbelts for legal passenger capacity are clearly listed on every RVezy listing. Pro tip: check listing photos and amenity checkboxes for outdoor kitchens and awnings, perfect for Great Salt Lake sunset dinners.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Stansbury%20Park%2C%20UtahWhat add-ons and pickup options do hosts in Stansbury Park offer?
There are plenty of ways to customize your trip. Common RVezy add-ons in Stansbury Park include camping chairs and outdoor rugs, bedding and towel packages, kitchen kits, BBQ grills, generators, bike racks, and propane refills, all priced clearly on each listing. Pickup is typically at the host's home in Stansbury Park, Erda, or Tooele, and many hosts also offer delivery to Antelope Island, Grantsville Reservoir, or your driveway in Salt Lake County. Mileage policies vary: some hosts include a set number of free miles per night, while others offer unlimited mileage for an upfront fee. Pro tip: if you are festival bound for the Tooele Air Show or Salt Flats events, message hosts in advance to confirm event parking is allowed.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Stansbury%20Park%2C%20UtahHow does payment and the security deposit work?
Payment is simple and secure through RVezy. You pay the full trip cost (nightly rate, fees, add ons, and protection) by credit card when you book, all handled inside the RVezy platform, never directly to the host. A refundable security deposit is authorized on your card separately from the booking payment and released after your trip provided the RV is returned in the agreed condition with no damage and within mileage and generator limits. Deposit amounts vary by RV and are shown on every listing. Pro tip: do a quick walkaround video with your host at pickup and dropoff in Stansbury Park, it is the easiest way to avoid deposit disputes and keeps your refund moving fast.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksWhat popular road trips can I take from Stansbury Park?
Stansbury Park is a dream launch point for an RV road trip. Head 1 hour northeast to Antelope Island State Park for bison and Great Salt Lake sunsets. Drive about 45 minutes east to Park City for alpine air and the Mirror Lake Highway. Aim 4 hours southeast to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks near Moab (about 235 miles). Make the roughly 4.5 hour run south to Bryce Canyon, or push about 4.5 hours southwest to Zion National Park for the full Mighty 5 experience. Closer to home, the 45 minute drive west on I-80 to the Bonneville Salt Flats is otherworldly at sunset. Pro tip: combine BLM camping on Stansbury Island with a salt flats day trip for a memorable two night loop.
