I would to thank Carlos Acuna and his wife the the excellent rental RV they provided for me at the EAA Sun-n-Fun event in Lakeland, Florida recently. They provided a beautiful and extremely clean RV for us. They accomplished a complete setup and gave me a very good briefing on the operational aspects of the RV. The personal touches such as the personalized Welcome sign, snacks, coffee, and other items were greatly appreciated. I will definitely attempt to rent from them again in the future.

Miguel and Anna were amazing to rent from. Miguel installed my Wieght Distrobution Hitch and attached to our Truck. Anna was warm and considerate, chatting with us both before we left and again when we returned the camper. Anna also provided us oranges as a gift how nice is that! I would recommend this rental to others.

Great Experience! I Highly recommend! All you need to do is bring yourself, your clothes, and some food. Just about everything else is provided. They have a weight distribution hitch (which saved me a lot of money). They even had the cable to hook up my generator. Their A/C blew ice cold air, the refrigerator kept everything cold and the freezer worked perfectly. If you can get fresh water, you leave and have hot showers! All you have to do is back up your vehicle, hitch it up and go have fun. The owners are Very helpful and communicate very quickly to help with any questions you have. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them. Thank you so much for a great experience.

On the road, your pup will love Lake Shipp Park, the paved Auburndale TECO Trail, and the dog-friendly patios in downtown Winter Haven. Many local hosts will drive the motorhome or trailer straight to your campsite at Sanlan RV Resort, Camp Mack's River Resort, or a vacation rental driveway near Winter Haven, then level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system. Filter by Delivery on RVezy to see which hosts offer it. Delivery fees depend on distance and RV size. Pro tip: stationary delivery is ideal for families heading to LEGOLAND Florida, just minutes away, since you skip the city driving entirely.

Camp Mack's River Resort on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes is perfect for anglers. Pro tip: book Florida State Park sites through ReserveAmerica up to 11 months in advance for winter dates.

When is the best time of year for a Jan Phyl Village RV trip?

Central Florida's sweet spot for RV camping in Jan Phyl Village runs from late October through April, when daytime highs sit comfortably in the 70s and low 80s and humidity drops to pleasant levels. January and February average highs near 72 degrees with cool nights, ideal for campfires at Lake Kissimmee. Spring (March to early May) brings warm sunshine and blooming orange groves. Summer (June through September) is hot, humid, and stormy, with highs in the low 90s and near-daily afternoon thunderstorms, though early mornings remain pleasant. Pro tip: book a winter motorhome rental in Jan Phyl Village 2 to 3 months ahead, since this is peak snowbird season across Polk County.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?

You'll do great, and Jan Phyl Village is a fantastic spot for a first time renting an RV. Polk County roads are flat, well-maintained, and far less crowded than Miami or Orlando proper. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup, covering slide-outs, water systems, propane, generator, and dump procedures, plus you have their phone number for the whole trip. You can also message hosts with questions before you book. RVezy's customer support and roadside assistance are available 24/7. Pro tip: start with a campervan rental in Jan Phyl Village or a smaller Class C, then graduate to a Class A on your next family RV trip in Jan Phyl Village.

What happens if something breaks down during my trip?

You're never on your own. Every RV rental in Jan Phyl Village FL comes with 24/7 roadside assistance included with the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on I-4, a dead battery at Lake Eva Park, or an AC issue at the campground is just a phone call away from help. RVezy's customer support team is also available around the clock to coordinate repairs and replacement options if needed. Your host is usually the fastest first call for quick how-to questions like resetting the inverter or relighting the water heater pilot. Pro tip: snap a photo of your RV's VIN and license plate at pickup so you have it handy if you ever need to call for service.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detail

Can I take my RVezy rental out of Florida or across the border?

Yes, in-state and interstate travel from Jan Phyl Village is allowed by most hosts, so a road trip up to Georgia's Cumberland Island, west to New Orleans, or north to the Smoky Mountains is fair game. Always confirm out-of-state travel with the host before booking, since a few prefer to keep their RV in Florida. Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed by individual hosts and insurance, so confirm in writing first. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because protection coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: popular interstate runs from Polk County include the Florida Keys (about 5 hours south) and Savannah (about 6 hours north).
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

What kind of fuel economy and gas budget should I expect?

Florida has some of the more reasonable fuel prices in the Southeast, which helps keep your Jan Phyl Village RV trip on budget. Expect roughly 8 to 10 miles per gallon for a Class A motorhome, 10 to 14 for a Class C, 15 to 20 for a Class B campervan, and 12 to 18 for a tow vehicle pulling a travel trailer. With Florida gas typically running $3.00 to $3.60 per gallon, a 300-mile loop to Tampa, Clearwater, and back usually costs $80 to $130 in fuel for a mid-size motorhome. Pro tip: most RVs above Class B take regular unleaded, and big-rig-friendly Pilot and Love's stations sit right off I-4 at Polk City and Lakeland for easy fill-ups.
gasprices.aaa.com/state-gas-price-averages/

How far in advance should I book a campground?

Booking early pays off in Central Florida. For winter (December through March), reserve Florida State Park sites like Lake Kissimmee or Highlands Hammock up to 11 months ahead through ReserveAmerica, the official Florida State Parks reservation system, since snowbirds grab them fast. Private parks like Sanlan RV Resort and Camp Mack's River Resort typically need 1 to 3 months of lead time for peak season but can have last-minute openings midweek. Summer and fall are easier, often bookable a week or two out. Pro tip: if everything looks full, check Polk County's smaller county parks like Lake Eva or Saddle Creek for affordable, less-crowded RV camping in Jan Phyl Village's backyard.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservations

What are local driving conditions like around Jan Phyl Village?

Polk County is refreshingly RV-friendly. Roads are flat, lanes are wide, and the area sits right on the I-4 corridor between Tampa and Orlando, so you have easy access without battling true big-city traffic at home base. US-17 and US-92 are the main local routes and handle motorhomes well. Avoid I-4 through Orlando between 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 7 PM, especially on weekends near the theme parks. Sudden summer thunderstorms can drop heavy rain in minutes, so pull off at a rest area if visibility drops. Pro tip: watch for low-hanging Spanish moss and oak branches on older residential streets in Winter Haven, where overhead clearance can surprise taller Class A drivers.

What amenities do local campgrounds offer, and where can I dump or fill water?

Central Florida campgrounds are well-equipped for any size rig. Most parks near Jan Phyl Village, including Sanlan RV Resort and Central Park of Haines City, offer full hookups (30 and 50 amp electric, water, and sewer), Wi-Fi, laundry, pools, and dog runs. Florida State Parks like Lake Kissimmee have water and electric at sites plus a centralized dump station and potable water fill near the entrance. Need to dump between stops? Public dump stations are available at Saddle Creek Park in Lakeland and at several Polk County parks. Pro tip: keep a 25-foot fresh water hose and a 90-degree sewer elbow in the RV; both make hookups at older Florida sites much smoother.
floridastateparks.org/learn/rv-and-tent-camping

What's typically included inside the RV?

Most rentals come ready to roll. The typical motorhome rental in Jan Phyl Village includes a queen or king bed, bunks or convertible dinettes for the kids, a full kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, and sometimes an oven, a bathroom with toilet and shower, roof AC (a must in Florida), heat, and seatbelted travel seating. Many hosts include a generator for off-grid use, a TV, and Wi-Fi or a hotspot. Linens, kitchenware, and outdoor chairs are often included or available as add-ons. Each RVezy listing spells out exactly what's inside. Pro tip: confirm the AC tonnage and whether the rig has dual AC units before a July or August trip, since Polk County summer heat hits hard.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Jan%20Phyl%20Village%2C%20Florida

What add-ons can I get, and how do pickup and drop-off work?

Hosts in Jan Phyl Village offer plenty of useful extras to make life easier. Common add-ons include linen and towel packages ($25 to $75), camp chairs and outdoor mats, bikes, kayaks, generators, propane refills, and pre-stocked kitchen kits. Pickup is usually at the host's home in or near Winter Haven, Auburndale, or Lakeland, with a 30 to 60 minute walkthrough so you leave feeling confident. Many hosts also offer delivery in Jan Phyl Village to your campground or vacation rental. Mileage policies vary by host, with some offering unlimited mileage for local trips and others including 100 to 150 free miles per night. Pro tip: ask about a free overnight in the host's driveway before departure to test every system stress-free.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Jan%20Phyl%20Village%2C%20Florida

How do payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is straightforward and secure through the RVezy platform, so you never hand cash or card details directly to the host. You pay with a credit or debit card at booking, and the charge is held safely until your trip is confirmed. Hosts set their own refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 for Central Florida rentals), which is pre-authorized on your card before pickup and released after the RV is returned in good shape with tanks emptied and fuel topped off. Pro tip: do a full walkaround video at pickup and drop-off and send it through the RVezy messenger. It's the simplest way to avoid deposit disputes and keep your Jan Phyl Village RV rental experience smooth from start to finish.
