We had the best experience renting this trailer for the Daytona 500 race. Felipe communicated every step of the way. When delivered, he showed us how to function all areas. The trailer was superb! Everything you need for your stay, inside and out. Top of the line bedding, pillows, towels, and it also includes body wash, shampoo & conditioner. Spacious shower. TVs worked great with no issues. Wifi worked great! Very spacious for inside gatherings. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Having a toaster was another great surprise. Rental included nice big and sturdy outside chairs and an extra-long folding table for outside meals and gatherings. Felipe arrived on time for pick up and completed the check-out inspection. The best host we've had in our 25 yrs attending the Daytona 500. Take good care of this trailer. We plan to rent again!

Feel the Daytona 500 before you even reach your seat: Cup cars drafting the high banks at Daytona International Speedway, fans stacked in the grandstands, and the Atlantic breeze just minutes away in Daytona Beach. An RV turns race week into a rolling tailgate, so you can cook breakfast, recharge, and slip back toward the track when the engines fire. You set the rhythm between beach time, midway energy, and the roar of the Great American Race.

John was a pleasure to deal with. He was prompt and on time with delivery and the pickup the camper was well equipped over and above. My expectations, thanks again, John.

We have rented campers in the past, but this was by far the easiest rental we have had! The camper was better than we expected. It easily slept 5 unrelated adults,, but could've had 6 with no problems. The camper was well stocked with all of the necessities and super clean! Scott, his wife and son delivered and picked up, as well as set up and broke down at the speedway. We didn't have to anything. During our stay, Scott checked in to make sure everything was going OK. Overall, an amazing experience! I hope we get the opportunity to book with them again.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Ormond Beach, Florida?

Good news: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Ormond Beach. Florida does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or any special endorsement for motorhomes or travel trailers used recreationally, even for Class A rigs up to 26,000 pounds. You'll need to be at least 25 years old to book on RVezy, and we'll verify your ID right through the platform during checkout, so there's no awkward paperwork at pickup. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and you're set. Most first-time renters are pleasantly surprised by how simple the process is.

What if I need to cancel my Ormond Beach RV rental?

Booking your Ormond Beach RV trip is low-risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and every reservation includes a grace period right after booking so you can lock in your dates with confidence. Beyond the grace window, refund amounts depend on how many days remain before your trip and the specific cancellation terms tied to your reservation. If a named hurricane or tropical storm threatens Volusia County, reach out to RVezy support and the team will walk you through your options. The takeaway: book the rig you love now, knowing flexibility is built in.

Can I bring my dog on my Ormond Beach RV trip?

Yes, plenty of pups vacation here. To find a pet-friendly RV rental in Ormond Beach, toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to see motorhomes and trailers whose owners welcome four-legged guests (some hosts charge a small pet fee, listed right on the page). Once you arrive, visit the Bow Wow Beach dog park at Central Park in Ormond Beach, where leashed dogs can swim in a fenced lake. Dogs are also welcome in designated areas of Volusia County beaches during posted hours, and Tomoka State Park allows leashed pets in the campground. Pack a beach towel for sandy paws and you are ready to go.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Ormond Beach?

Yes, RV delivery in Ormond Beach is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it is a game-changer if it is your first time renting an RV. Many local hosts will drive the rig to Tomoka State Park, Harris Village RV Park, or even a vacation rental driveway, then level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. Use the Delivery filter to see hosts offering this service and review their per-mile delivery fee on each listing. Pro tip: ask your host to set up the awning and outdoor mat too, so you can roll in, kick off your sandals, and head straight to the beach.

Popular routes include St. Augustine at about 50 miles north on A1A, the Kennedy Space Center roughly 70 miles south, Orlando theme parks 85 miles southwest, the Florida Keys around 350 miles south, and Savannah, Georgia about 215 miles up I-95. Where are the best campgrounds near Ormond Beach for my RV trip?

You have your pick of great spots for RV camping in Ormond Beach. Tomoka State Park on North Beach Street is the local favorite, with shaded sites under oak hammocks along the Halifax River, plus kayak rentals on site. Harris Village RV Park on US-1 is a clean, friendly 55+ option. Just north in Flagler Beach, Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area offers oceanfront sites about 13 miles up the coast, and Bulow RV Resort sits inland beside Bulow Creek State Park. Book Tomoka and Gamble Rogers up to 11 months out through the Florida State Parks reservation system, especially for the November through March snowbird window.

When is the best time of year for an Ormond Beach RV trip?

You can rent an RV in Ormond Beach any month of the year, but the sweet spot is mid-October through late April, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 68 to 78 degree F range, humidity drops, and afternoon thunderstorms are rare. Summer (June through September) brings highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, high humidity, and the peak of Atlantic hurricane season, so plan early-morning beach time and book a rig with strong air conditioning. February is lively with Daytona Speedweeks and Bike Week. Pro tip: shoulder months like November and early December deliver pleasant weather and some of the lowest rental rates of the year.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay in Ormond Beach?

You're going to do great, and Ormond Beach is genuinely one of the easiest places in Florida to learn. The terrain is flat, the grid is logical, and A1A along the coast is a wide, low-speed scenic route perfect for getting comfortable behind the wheel. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, slides, tanks, and the propane system, and you can text them throughout your trip with questions. If city driving makes you nervous, pick a campervan rental in Ormond Beach or a smaller Class C under 25 feet. Pro tip: do your first practice loop on John Anderson Drive, a quiet, oak-canopied road along the Halifax River.

What happens if I have a breakdown during my RV rental in Ormond Beach?

Take a breath, you are covered. Every motorhome rental in Ormond Beach booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance with the protection plan, so a flat tire on I-95, a dead battery at Tomoka State Park, or a tow back from Daytona is one phone call away. You will receive the roadside number in your booking confirmation, and RVezy support is available around the clock to help coordinate. Your host is also a message away for quick fixes like a tripped breaker or a stuck slide-out. Pro tip: save both numbers to your phone before you leave the driveway, and screenshot your booking confirmation in case you lose cell signal.

Can I take my Ormond Beach RV rental out of state or into Canada or Mexico?

Yes to most of the U.S. An RV road trip from Ormond Beach up to Savannah, Charleston, the Smokies, or even New England is doable, and many hosts welcome cross-state travel (just confirm in the listing or by messaging the host first). Travel into Canada may be allowed by some hosts, so message them directly before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Popular multi-state trips from Ormond Beach include the A1A coastal run south to the Keys and the I-10 corridor west to New Orleans. Pro tip: ask your host about toll transponders, since SunPass works across most of the Southeast.

What kind of gas mileage should I expect, and what does fuel cost in Ormond Beach?

Budgeting fuel is easier than most first-timers think. Class C motorhomes around Ormond Beach typically get 8 to 10 mpg, Class A rigs around 6 to 8 mpg, campervans 14 to 18 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10 to 14 mpg combined). Florida gas prices tend to run a bit below the national average, with the cheapest stations clustered along US-1 and Granada Boulevard in Ormond Beach. For a typical 7-day Florida coast loop of around 500 miles in a Class C, plan on roughly $200 to $275 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up at the Wawa or Buc-ee's in Daytona Beach before heading inland, since prices climb closer to the theme parks.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Ormond Beach?

For Florida state parks like Tomoka, Gamble Rogers, and Bulow Creek, reservations open exactly 11 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservation system, and prime winter weekends genuinely book out within minutes of release. Private parks like Coral Sands RV Resort and Harris Village fill 3 to 6 months ahead for snowbird season (November through April), but you can often grab a midweek site with just a week or two of notice in summer. If you're flexible, check ReserveAmerica and Recreation.gov for last-minute cancellations, which pop up daily. Pro tip: book your campground first, then your RV, since rigs on RVezy are more flexible than waterfront state park sites in February.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservations

What are driving conditions like around Ormond Beach?

Driving an RV around Ormond Beach is refreshingly low-stress. The terrain is flat, sea-level, and the main routes (I-95, US-1, A1A, and Granada Boulevard/SR-40) are wide and RV-friendly. Watch for the Granada Bridge over the Halifax River, which has a generous height clearance but gets windy, and avoid the older drawbridges in coastal neighborhoods during fishing season. Summer afternoons bring quick, heavy thunderstorms (June through September), so pull over and wait 20 minutes rather than push through. During hurricane season, monitor the National Weather Service Melbourne forecast office. Pro tip: skip beach driving on the hard-packed sand in your rental, since RVezy rigs aren't covered for sand or saltwater exposure. Park at a paved lot and walk over instead.
weather.gov/mlb/

What amenities do campgrounds near Ormond Beach typically have?

You'll find a great mix of amenities across local parks. Tomoka State Park offers 50-amp electric and water hookups, a dump station, hot showers, and a boat ramp, while Coral Sands RV Resort delivers full hookups (water, sewer, 30/50 amp), Wi-Fi, and beach access. Harris Village RV Park provides full hookups and laundry facilities, and most private parks in Volusia County include picnic tables, fire rings, and pool access. To fill fresh water or dump tanks on the road, public dump stations exist at Tomoka State Park (for non-campers, small fee) and at Indian Mound Fish Camp. Pro tip: download the Sanidumps or RV LIFE app before your trip to map every dump station along your route.

What's included inside an RV rental in Ormond Beach?

Local RVs come fully equipped for a turnkey Florida vacation. Expect a real bed (or two or three), a kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, climate control, and dining/lounge seating with seatbelts for travel. Most listings include linens, towels, a TV, and many add Wi-Fi hotspots or onboard generators (great for boondocking near Ocala National Forest). Class C motorhomes typically sleep 4 to 6, travel trailers 4 to 8, and campervans 2 to 4. Check the listing's amenity list and photos for specifics, and message hosts about beach chairs, paddleboards, or grills (many include them free). Pro tip: filter by Sleeps to match your group, and look for hosts offering bike racks for the Ormond Beach Loop trail.

What add-ons and options can I get with my Ormond Beach RV rental?

Hosts in Ormond Beach offer fantastic add-ons that make your trip easier. Common options include linen and kitchen packages ($50 to $100), generators ($15 to $30 per day), bike racks, paddleboards or kayaks (perfect for the Halifax and Tomoka Rivers), portable grills, beach chair and umbrella bundles, and even pre-stocked groceries. Mileage policies are listed on every listing, with most hosts offering 100 to 150 free miles per day and reasonable per-mile rates beyond that. Pickup and dropoff happens at the host's location or via delivery to your campsite. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a linen package on your first booking, so all you bring is a suitcase and sunscreen, perfect for a relaxed family RV trip in Ormond Beach.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book your RV rental in Ormond Beach, you pay through the RVezy platform using a credit or debit card, never in cash to the host. A refundable security deposit is placed on hold against your card a few days before pickup, typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the RV's value, and is released after your trip ends assuming no damage or extra cleaning. To keep your deposit safe, follow the host's tank-dumping and fuel-return instructions, return on time, and document the RV's condition with photos at pickup and dropoff. Pro tip: confirm cleaning, dump, and fuel expectations with the host upfront so there are no surprises at return.
